Evil ReichWing Boston Mayor Evicts Occupy
— Ace

"Peaceful."

Boston’s police commissioner, Edward Davis, said 46 people were arrested during what he said was “by and large” a peaceful eviction.

If I felt like it I could make a racism claim here. 46 arrests of white people, and the liberal administrative state calls it "by and large peaceful."

Would 46 arrests at the dispersal of an impromptu, permit-less rap concert all also be deemed "by and large peaceful" by the very liberal, and yet also very racist, Boston police powers?

Police officers arrived shortly before 5 a.m., dragging tents out of the camp and warning the roughly 75 protesters who had stayed the night there that they would be arrested if the did not leave.

You know what this article needs? Some emotion that conveys the drama of the conflict being reported.

“The first thing I heard was the sound of a knife ripping through a tent,” said Mike Hipson, a demonstrator who stayed through the night.

Oh there you go.

I don't know the numbers of moonbats in each category, and remain very skeptical of the 41% approval rating.  The internals may show a tendency to poll respondents with liberal leanings, thereby skewing the data?

We do know that when humans are exposed to free stuff, if they're not strong willed and able to see beyond the instant gratification, they're doomed to a life of liberal inspired subservience.

Well, Smeve.  The unemployment rate just dropped to 8.6% this last month, which proves that I am the only true American to ever hold the presidentsy.  Less people are looking for work.  Many have just given up and decided to give their future job to some less fortunate person.  In this, we see the light.  I'm going to demoralize America into full employment.  I'll chase enough people out of the workforce to bring us to -4% unemployment by Aug 2012.  NEGATIVE 4%!!  Who else has ever done that?  Any of the other presidents on the dollar bills?  I don't think so.  Because they weren't real Americans, like I is.

After NYC Occupy got booted out of Zuccotti park, they don't know where to meet, can't communicate with each other (was mostly face to face in the park as a lot of the hippies don't have reliable internet access), and the issue of finding housing for the homeless hippies and getting transportation to/from the park and meeting locations and housing locations has really crimped them.

Area churches have overnight space, but are charging $3/head/night for utilitiy use and security.  Some OWSers complain because the churches have kicked out unruly/disruptive/unhousebroken people and these OWSers object at every meeting to giving the churches any money.  Its surreal to read their meeting minutes.

I have two music buddies (strangely, they're both drummers, insert joke here) who both claim to be independents. However, when you present them with one of those fact thingys, they instantly spout some inane Dim talking point. Most of my conversation with them consists of me saying, "That's not true and here's why."

Any statistic I cite is immediately discounted. When I say that a certain stat comes from Washington, there is only a slight pause before being immediately discounted. It's almost too easy to get them to chase their own tail in a political discussion, which merely reinforces my contention that self-described "independents" don't know what to believe, and are confused and prone to wandering.

And they're the most prized demographic for the national GOP and the reason we can't take the gloves off when it comes to the disastrous record of El SCOAMF and the Traitors Popularly Known as Progressives? The ones we must persuade to come over to our side? The ones with no personal rudder?

90 80 Of course it doesn't make it right, but as a way of explaining why Obama has the support he does, it's the best explanation I can give. I don't happen to think Registered Democrat is a disease though, and I'll stick with my religion comparison. In fact, many of the Democrats I know are Catholics. The two groups would seem to be mutually exclusive, if the decision to self-identify with their group was based on logic and reason, but it's not.

92 #61 That is just precious. Liberals, such as liberal Manhattan clergy, are soooo generous with other people's money. But when they have a bit too much contact with actual deadbeats, they're flummoxed. Are these people ever going to get it that socialism breeds unambitious deadbeats.

Maybe, they didn't in 2010. We won them by 19 points and on the CBS poll they are really down on Bambis re election. 58% say no way and the ones wanting him re elected were in the 30's.

Wait for the churches to try to get rid of them. They won't go.

"Sorry, since you were unable to reimburse our church for the broken sinks, toilets, and other fixtures, or pay for the costs of carpet cleaning and refinishing the floors from your peoples inability to maintain continence, we can no longer house your people here.  Go in Peace (but just go)."

I'm eagerly anticipating the reports of the mean ol' Sheriff forcibly evicting the squatters from the reoccupied foreclosed homes/buildings:

Squatters:  [plaintive wailing] "But we fixed the heating and plumbing and everything!"

Sheriff:  "I'm sure the owner will appreciate your efforts.  Now, git!"

Owner:  "Much obliged, Sheriff.  You too, hippie."

110 Here's an ironic question~ Is it all the self esteem exercises schools indoctrinate kids with (in lieu of algebra) that makes the Occupiers believe that, being Amerricans & better at everything than the rest of the world, socialism will finally work? Countervailing logic? Socialism is based on no one being better or has more than anyone else, everyone is equal but because now that these over confident young Americans are this involved, socialism will finally prevail. It's this generation's version of "America to the rescue". What an effin rabbit hole.

124 OWS NYC now has regular office space that costs $5400 per month that is being paid by an anonymous donor who was concerned about the activity in Zuccotti Park

Someone who loves the message but wants to control the messengers?

Sounds to me like SEIU/ACORN or the Obama campaign is the anonymous donor

Occupy Wall Street Occupies Some Office Space

Whatever Occupy Wall Street (OWS) is, it has a new office two blocks from Wall Street. Since Nov. 7, activists have been quietly occupying 2,500 sq. ft. of workspace located on the 12th floor at 50 Broadway. The rent is $5,400 a month and paid for by anonymous donors.

"I don't even know their names," office coordinator Bianca Bockman says of the space's backers. "There are checks being written to pay the rent."

"The workspace was funded by individuals who wanted to support OWS but were concerned about the way the General Assembly was operating," says Michael Fix, a longtime activist and documentary filmmaker who, with Bockman, helps manage the space.

"You Have The Right To Remain Stupid" was a great read, thanks. More wonderfullness in that article than in all of Frum's and Brooks' columns combined.

It seems like the Tea Party hasn't been doing anything lately, thanks to all the media attention to The Juice-Boxer Rebellion, but I have the feeling that there will be a very large replay of the 2010 midterm elections. Anti-incumbent sentiment is running very high, and will remain that way as long as the economy stays in the shitter, which El SCOAMF seems determined to insure.

Nothing would warm the dark recesses of my little conservative heart to see long-time congressional Progressive Idiots like Dick Turban and Babs Boxer get the boot. Optimist that I am, I secretly entertain the idea the Queen Nancy might even be deposed soon. Folks will only tolerate so much stoopid for so long, even in San Fran Sicko.

OK, 'rons 'n 'ettes, I'm outta here to hang the Christmas lights on the front of Palacia del Backwardio. Y'all have fun and try not to trash the place, 'mkay?

I've been reading their main web site and some interesting stuff can be picked up from it

There are 3 of them with access to the bank account. The main one is 36 year old tattoo artist Pete Dutro, the one who stayed in the $700 per night hotel the night of the raid. The other two are a pair of college students named Victoria Sobel and Bre Lembitz, who seem to do whatever Dutro tells them.

There are a few who are clamoring nonstop for bank statements to be uploaded, demands for transparency which are ignored, deflected, or opposed outright

I wouldn't say that Dutro is pulling a Madoff or Corzine on them at this time, but he reminds me of the United Way president who was padding his expense accounts and living very large on charity money

Mr. Ashley was not involved in the stop but approached the scene on foot. After shooting Crouse while he was seated in his unmarked patrol car, Ashley fled on foot.
