Two explosions rocked government buildings in Oslo, Norway, on Friday, state TV and witnesses said.Windows in several buildings had been blown out, and people were in the street bleeding, state TV broadcaster NRK said on its website.
A first explosion was followed by a second, a reporter for Norwegian state broadcaster NRK told CNN on Friday.
One explosion happened near a government building housing the office of Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, said the reporter, Linda Reinholdsen. Another hit near the Norwegian parliament, she said.
Several buildings in Oslo were on fire, she said, and smoke was pouring from them.
No confirmed word on casualties yet but there have been at lest several wounded.
I've seen some reports on Twitter that the Norwegian Prime Minister is ok.
(It doesn't look like it was a holiday, so I removed that). Or, again via Gabe, was it?
Target indicates terrorism. Oslo doesn't have a gas network, so unlikely it was that.

But will this bombing rouse the Norweigans out of their apathy towards the Islamist threat? I doubt it. No, they'll find some lame "root-cause" and pass it along like they have for the past several decades.

I did a quick check to see if the explosion happened during one of the muslim prayer times, figuring it might be timed to miss the observant believers safely in their mosques.
It didn't seem to sync up with the afternoon prayers, but that whole "tiem to pray again!" thing for muslims gets pretty involved. My ciphering might just be off.
