Font and Scrolling Trouble in IE?
— rdbrewer

Several people using Internet Explorer have reported problems with the site lately that include slow, jagged scrolling and some modern-looking sans serif font. Ace has top men working on it. Top. Men.

In the meantime, you can click the "compatibility view" icon up next to the URL address box. (The broken web page icon.) This will fix the problem temporarily.

If you don't see the compatibility view button, put your cursor somewhere in the menu bar (or nearby, if you don't have menu bar checked) and right click. Make sure you have the box next to "Compatibility View Button" checked.

7 The flash ads make the site not scroll on my android. I have to refresh and stop the load before flash is loaded. You might want to focus on that since the issues are probably related.

8 The jagged scrolling and font troubles are probably caused by mixing psychotropic meds with Val-U-Rite Vodka.

It's not a bug - it's a feature!

Even stranger about the "new" font is when you go to 'new comments thingy', the font reverts to the old, familiar style.

Actually, I don't have a problem with the new font, and I don't get slow, jagged scrolling. Yes, I am on IE8. I denounce myself.

I'll be the first to say it...and maybe the last.

Why the hell is ace still fucking arround on mu.nu?  Yeah we get a lot of laughs about how pixy is beating his server monkeys and what not, but this site is too big and too important to be on such a shoe string platform.

I don't know... the problems involve lots of server crashes...difficulty posting any links except for tiny urls because long links blow out the page margins, random bannings, difficulty getting unbanned, now comment previews... slow scrollling, the incredibly annoying fact that if you post a comment that isn't approved (like forgetting to include your e-mail), when you hit the back button to fix the mistake, your comment was erased.

I suspect ace isn't paying anything to pixy to get hosted here.  Yeah, free is great.  But boy does that "freeness" get annoying at times.

I'm starting to hear glorious victory music in the background.  Sounds like Beethoven's Ode to Joy.

Last time I heard that I was out of college a few years.  I noticed I was doing laundry every couple of days.  I was doing it on auto-pilot and never stopped to figure out why.  One day it dawned on me:  Mom had been occasionally buying me underwear my whole life.  She wasn't anymore, and I was nearly out.  That's why I was always in the laundromat.  I felt like I had been given the keys to unlock one of the great mysteries of life.  And guess what was playing on the musak speakers at the precise moment I turned down the underwear aisle at K-mart?  I kid you not:  Beethoven's Ode to Joy.  I laughed my ass off.

Not only that, it was an underwear cove, where they had formed a u-shaped cathedral of underwear.  It was glorious.

I'm out to find Firefox.

122 So, I was catching up on things after having returned from the Lithuanian - Italian - NYGiants wedding, and I came across THIS on facebook from a friend from high school: Today we are all Egyptians.

Now, what the fuck is that supposed to mean?

That we've been out in the street wailing like banshees, throwing rocks and making straight the way for the greater chaos to come?

Or that suddenly the lives of all Egyptians have been magically transformed and they've achieved an education and standard of living equivalent to that of a physician living in Charleston, WV?

I mean, WHAT THE FUCK?

I'm certain that you, my friend, intend to give up nearly everything you know and have to achieve parity with Egyptians. Or are you just mouthing the usual leftist, feel-good, "hey, we're with you" crap that means NOT A DAMN THING TO EGYPTIANS, or whoever is being favored with your pointless and no-cost-to-you expression of solidarity?

236 Rep. West was by far the best speaker at CPAC. It's too early to know how he is as a politician, but he was certainly fighting in that speech. It's actually rather interesting because he was rather quiet in his 1st House speech earlier this week, though I would attribute that to possibly being overwhelmed by the place. Anyway, I will be interested to see how he does. He's definitely still tied for 1st RE my favorite politician and he will go far if he abides by his word.

Well, she's half right.  I don't know if Christie is our magic bullet or not.  I do know we're gonna need one, I'm just not sure that person has come forward yet.  If Daniels would ditch his VAT stuff, he'd be perfect, but I don't think he will.  I do know that we need to pick a hands-down winner and we ALL need to get behind that person.  And Ron Paul should foad.  Today, if possible.

Well honestly with the exception of the Paulnuts most of those people will end up falling in line.  Mainly because their preferred candidate will actually go and endorse someone else as they drop out.  Ron Paul will not do that and all his nutty little sycophants will demand he run independent.  As much as the zeal of some Palin supporters can be off putting to people, when she goes and endorses someone else they will follow that person with passion too.  Probably not as much as with her but still passionately.

We have some West Los Angeles friends driving down for dinner. I'm getting my political armor on right now baby. Obamacare is gonna be discussed and I'm gonna be aiming for the fences. We were up in their territory in Santa Monica last weekend and I went into shock seeing all of the no smoking signs, so I purchased two ceegars and puffed everywhere, everywhere.

Let the games begin.

321 eman, if you go to her blog you'll notice she chooses her words very carefully, stressing that her past blog entries have been very supportive of the group.  I think when their mask came off she wasn't in a forgiving mood like Gabe was.  And yes, I wouldn't sleep comfortably, if at all, knowing she was pissed at me for having misled her.

I think Lewis got screwed this year.  After last year winning the AFC North and not getting a new deal with only one year left on his contract?  He deserved an extension last year.  And then with their struggles this year it became a question of will he get fired or come back or just not get a new deal.  The problem with the Bengals is not Marv Lewis, its their cheapskate owner/GM.

342 Firefox has a new beta version they are testing.'I think it's beta 10. It works awesome morons. I have all the other browsers and if you still use ie your a serious monkey moron. You shouldn't even be able to have a computer if you use Ie . It's sucks . Crome sucks. Flock is good. But Mozilla is the shit. On any system.

I don't think he's gotten a new deal yet so he's probably gone.  Chad Ochocinco may actually be gone too.

Palmer actually told Brown he wanted to be traded and was denied, so who knows whats all going to happen.
