— rdbrewer Several people using Internet Explorer have reported problems with the site lately that include slow, jagged scrolling and some modern-looking sans serif font. Ace has top men working on it. Top. Men.
In the meantime, you can click the "compatibility view" icon up next to the URL address box. (The broken web page icon.) This will fix the problem temporarily.
If you don't see the compatibility view button, put your cursor somewhere in the menu bar (or nearby, if you don't have menu bar checked) and right click. Make sure you have the box next to "Compatibility View Button" checked.

He pays 'em in kibble and monkey-chow.....which explains a lot.

Even stranger about the "new" font is when you go to 'new comments thingy', the font reverts to the old, familiar style.
Actually, I don't have a problem with the new font, and I don't get slow, jagged scrolling. Yes, I am on IE8. I denounce myself.
Insert appropriate "Free Logprof" bullshit here.

Why the hell is ace still fucking arround on mu.nu? Yeah we get a lot of laughs about how pixy is beating his server monkeys and what not, but this site is too big and too important to be on such a shoe string platform.
I don't know... the problems involve lots of server crashes...difficulty posting any links except for tiny urls because long links blow out the page margins, random bannings, difficulty getting unbanned, now comment previews... slow scrollling, the incredibly annoying fact that if you post a comment that isn't approved (like forgetting to include your e-mail), when you hit the back button to fix the mistake, your comment was erased.
I suspect ace isn't paying anything to pixy to get hosted here. Yeah, free is great. But boy does that "freeness" get annoying at times.

I'm starting to hear glorious victory music in the background. Sounds like Beethoven's Ode to Joy.
Last time I heard that I was out of college a few years. I noticed I was doing laundry every couple of days. I was doing it on auto-pilot and never stopped to figure out why. One day it dawned on me: Mom had been occasionally buying me underwear my whole life. She wasn't anymore, and I was nearly out. That's why I was always in the laundromat. I felt like I had been given the keys to unlock one of the great mysteries of life. And guess what was playing on the musak speakers at the precise moment I turned down the underwear aisle at K-mart? I kid you not: Beethoven's Ode to Joy. I laughed my ass off.
Not only that, it was an underwear cove, where they had formed a u-shaped cathedral of underwear. It was glorious.
I'm out to find Firefox.

You gotta be forceful and specific. The days of the mamby pamby boilerplate GOP presidential candidacy are over. We are fighting a dirty and savvy and brutal 21st century enemy. We cannot run 20th century friendly-smiley feel-good campaigns, anymore.

Well, she's half right. I don't know if Christie is our magic bullet or not. I do know we're gonna need one, I'm just not sure that person has come forward yet. If Daniels would ditch his VAT stuff, he'd be perfect, but I don't think he will. I do know that we need to pick a hands-down winner and we ALL need to get behind that person. And Ron Paul should foad. Today, if possible.

yeah I agree, I mean I personally don't like a Palin, Romney, Huckabee, Daniels, Pawlenty, or Gingrich nomination and even Cain and Christie which i'm hoping for has it's setbacks to me; yet I will do what I can do to help the winner beat Obama but alas with how devided it's gotten amongst the factions Obama could win again no matter how bad things are and if people think an unpopular President hasn't been re-elected because of a split opposition they better look at elections like 1916 or 1940, turnout and ethusiasm matter just as much as policies and economical conditions

Well honestly with the exception of the Paulnuts most of those people will end up falling in line. Mainly because their preferred candidate will actually go and endorse someone else as they drop out. Ron Paul will not do that and all his nutty little sycophants will demand he run independent. As much as the zeal of some Palin supporters can be off putting to people, when she goes and endorses someone else they will follow that person with passion too. Probably not as much as with her but still passionately.

I think Lewis got screwed this year. After last year winning the AFC North and not getting a new deal with only one year left on his contract? He deserved an extension last year. And then with their struggles this year it became a question of will he get fired or come back or just not get a new deal. The problem with the Bengals is not Marv Lewis, its their cheapskate owner/GM.
