It really wasn't a cut on Romney, just Massachusetts. But even that isn't the smartest thing to do when running for President. Like it or not they're still part of the U.S. and a Presidential candidate shouldn't really be insulting any of it's citizens. I think Andy thought this was a plus for Gingrich but really isn't.

“I can take the heat plenty well,” said a combative Gingrich, who challenged Romney to a one-on-one debate to discuss the attack ads. “Go back, ask governor Romney, would he like to play in the kitchen? I don’t think so.
To which Gov. Romney responded, "Don't start none, won't be none."

So does that mean only providers who take in state-subsidized children have to pay? Or everyone?
Unionizing recipients of welfare dollars, that can't be good.
State-subsidized childcare has huge potential for fraud, no wonder SEIU's tapping into it.

Yes. Yes I do. I think most people are really tired of all the political correctness. What he says has a lot of truth to it and I think that's one of his attractions. He has his gaffes, but most of the time he's saying what so many of the voters have been saying for years.

Newt speaks well, authoritatively, and appeals to your intelligence. He is poised and confident. He is knowledgeable and experienced.
Why Don't I Support Him?
Adelson. ADELSON is one of his main men. We do not want Adelson to have the ear of the president. Or even the presidential staff, or the gardeners, or the guy across the street. Do the search, find out why.
And there are probably other reasons too, but this one is enough.

Up in northern NH it's a different story and people are very skeptical of Massholes (like me) and it takes a while for them to trust that you won't try to make their state like The Peoples Republic to the south.
Mitt's place is in the lakes region more to the south and very affluent. He's not really reflective of the more rural and northern NH thinking.

Did they pass the thing where all home daycare owners would be forced to pay SEIU dues?
------------------------
Oh yeah. It's a huge sham of a vote, and payoff to the union. People in the industry are reporting having received unannounced visits from union reps where they were intimidated. This means an additional couple million dollars in dues, of course.
How, precisely, are people who take care of kids in their own damn home going to benefit from union representation?
Malloy is a filthy tool. When one union- the state troopers- rejected his 'concessions' deal, that was the one union that got layoffs. Then when all these state workers got in trouble because they were lining up to wrongfully take FEMA money because of that last storm, the only workers identified were a couple of state cops. Oh, and Malloy specified that it was DSS that did the investigation- the very department that was named as having a large number of employees who ripped off the FEMA funds. The original tally of 800+ public employees shaking down the system was revised down to about a dozen. That seems plausible.
Surprisingly, we haven't heard anything anymore about the results of that 'investigation.'
I could go on...and on. Even after the biggest tax increase in history, the shakedown of the taxpayer has just begun.

I'm a Rhode Islander who moved to Clinton MA in 2004 to be closer to my job in Marlboro. I couldn't take the commute up 495 anymore so I moved as close as I could get and still afford to buy a house. It's the biggest mistake I ever made. Massachusetts sucks and is NOTHING like Rhode Island. Nothing.
Last May I moved to Port Charlotte, Florida. I used my retirement account to buy a house for cash and sell the hell hole in Clinton at a loss. It was worth every penny. I got a 3 bed, 2 bath house with a pool, pool cage, 2 car garage, nice yard in a nice neighborhood, 5 minutes from the Tamiami Trail which has everything I could ever possibly want. I paid $83K for it. It's like living in Warwick except it's flat, has palm trees, and beautiful weather. The drive over the bridge to Punta Gorda is like going from Jamestown to Newport. It's gorgeous. I love it here.
Massachusetts was a bad dream I've woken up from.
Posted by: Jaynie59 at December 22, 2011 07:37 AM (4zKCA)
Anybody who thinks this is going to hurt Newt is a concerned Christian conservative who has no idea what people outside the 93 / 495 belt think of Massachusetts. They don't think "oh, Cape Cod, Boston, Concord and Lexington," they think "sanctimonious asshole racists, gay-marriage freaks, Kennedy-fellators, illegal-immigrant-coddlers." Believe me, leave New England and tell people you're from this fucking hellhole, they immediately ask "what's wrong with you people?"
Massachusetts has some nice areas and good people, but they're swamped by the Volvo-driving, Globe-reading, Barney Frank-excusing, Joe Kennedy-fellating, BSO-season ticket holding, little-place-in-the-Berkshires jackholes who put morons like Deval Patrick in office.
Think Carly Simon without the talent. Or an even smugger Paul Simon. That's your typical Masshole.

I know several Mormons. They are good people. They care, more than anything, about their family. They love gun rights. They hate abortion. Not everyone agrees with that... perhaps that's not objectively right, but I agree with that.
I think the way Mormons tend to live their lives actually commands respect. What America needs is strong nuclear families, love, values. Mormons get it, and I respect them.
do I think some of their religion is wrong, even goofy? Yes. But I'm not God and that's not my concern, and I think things many would find goofy if they didn't have my faith in them.
Anyway, Romney is easy to bash without worrying about good folks who share his faith.

Thank god for New Hampshire that they have a progressive state next to them. They boast about low taxes but leech off of Massachusetts for jobs, education, healthcare, hell they haven't got a real airport. Newt can pander all he wants to this backwater state, but leave Massachusetts out of it. It;s one of the finest places to live in this country.
Michael Graham's interview was pathetic, almost sounded like he had a Chris Matthews " I feel something running up my leg" moment. Graham should just move back to south Carolina if he thinks it's so bad in Massachusetts. seriousli, why does he live in Mass if it so bad? Total fraud.
