Good Video on Wisconsin's Budget Reforms: "It's Working"
— Ace

The facts and numbers here make a strong case for themselves, without the need for shouting and emotional arguments (such as "Scott Walker is Hitler").

Thanks to Ben.

I disagree, whole-heartedly. Barack Obama is a stuttering clusterf*ck of a miserable failure. This clown who should have been dismissed for many causes, was sold as a 'light worker', whatever the f*ck that is. The MFM actually took him seriously, even after he demonstrated that he would flunk 7th grade geography. Until the NYT or someone else runs a headline that 'Barack Obama is a Stuttering Clusterf*ck of a Miserable Failure!', I shall continue to type, 'Barack Obama is a stuttering clusterf*ck of a miserable failure'

Gov. Walker and WI are the best example of how a state (not the fed) can change the balance of power; how a state can flex it's constitutional muscle and tell the DC elite to go fuck themselves.  The power of the future will lie within the states to change the direction of this country.

That's why it's just as important to pay as much attention to local and state elections as it is to the national elections.

Cleared?  They hold trials in the blogosphere nowadays?

Just because a major player in Florida politics who also had ties to Rubio might have had something to do with that.. etc.. etc.. no one gives  shit anyway.

103 obama's berlin speech still gives me chills. Posted by: proudonkey at October 27, 2011 04:02 PM (NadeK) What a fucking sissy you are. When you were born, your daddy looked at you in your crib, and he only had one hope - that some day, his son would grow up to be a man. A man he could be proud of. And now look at you. A Fucking. Embarrassment. You spend your days whining like a little bitch on a board where everyone uses you like a punching bag. If your daddy is still alive, do him a solid and kill yourself. That way, he can console himself with the dream that some day you would have put behind your childish liberal faggotry and entered the world of men. If only. If only.

You might try reading some of Winston Churchill's speeches, or any of the other speakers mentioned above. Then you would actually understand what good rhetoric sounds like.

You give the lad too much credit. He's 'special', but not that special.

115 Just watched the video. The most powerful speaker of the last 100 years? The Numbers There's also a nice glimmer of the correct counter-argument to the "pay their fair share" tactic. Gov't workers should be paying their share, that's where the money is. NJ and Wisconsin have used it.

119 I've got to believe there is some extreme bullshit in the so called poll numbers coming out for the Ohio referendum.

Anyone on the ground have a view?

Posted by: 1/1027th of a Janitor at October 27, 2011 04:01 PM (tazG1)

I've said all along that the only poll numbers I care about occur on November 8.  Since I live in the Soviet of Cuyahoga county, the stoopid is strong here.  But I've stated before that imo a significant number of people aren't going to give an anti-union viewpoint to some anonymous shitstain over the phone and risk having the goons descend on them.  Outside of the blue urban hellholes, Ohio is a pretty conservative state.  I was pretty sure that Kasich was gonna beat Twitch Strickland two years ago because nothing that incompetent fuckstick did worked in the four miserable years he was in office; but it ended up being closer than it should've been so maybe my ability to predict these things is on the fast fade.

Anyway the state Repukes pulling a gotcha on Romney to embarrass Kasich was one of the dumbest fucking things I've ever experienced so maybe the stupid cocksuckers don't really want to win on this.  If so the state party can go fuck itself.

PPP: WALKER 47%/51% APPROVAL.

Up 14 points since his WPIC poll low in March.

Also voters disapprove of a recall and would vote for Walker again over all current opposition candidates (Feingold declared he won't run).

Not at all; I'm saying that if an anti-Kasich faction set up Romney for a "gotcha" moment at Kasich at the expense of hurting Issue 2, that would be an incredibly dumb thing to do.  I say that as somebody who isn't a Romney fan.

124 O/T: WH says State Department purchase of Obama books was 'embassy-based decision'...

White House officials said they were not aware of the purchases.

“What I do know, because we looked into it, obviously, the White House didn’t have anything to do with this,” he said. “I think this is an embassy-by-embassy-based decision based on what … makes sense to them in terms of advancing American foreign-policy interests.”

It is working.   But you'd be hard-pressed to find that news reported in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the state's biggest newspaper.   Yes, there are important alternative outlets -- especially talk radio like Mark Belling and Charlie Sykes out of Milwaukee.   But the fear here is that Walker's victories won't be felt by enough people in time to avoid the recall.   People are just like that -- they hear people talking about the poor teachers or the poor public employees, but they don't notice things that don't happen.... like their property taxes not going up, where otherwise they would have had to have a big increase.

The video is a good start in getting the word out.   We need to do a lot more.

136 All very nice, except that Walker's budget actually provides for MORE State employees than his predecessor's budget.

So "reducing State employees" is not part of the equasion.

Mind you, Walker did the right thing; just not enough of it.
