12 Abrahamson is an idiot, and Prosser will be re-elected, by a wide margin. Not to worry. We voted overwhelmingly for him in the primary a few week ago.

We tolerate Abrahamson, but we don't worry too much about her because she generally does just about nothing.

Prosser, at least, is pro-life and quite conservative. He might have a short fuse, but it's our fuse.

Considering the way the unions essentially subverted the Wisconsin Legislature by getting all the D's to leave the state for Illinois, and before that the way the ILLINOIS SUPREME COURT let Rahm back in to the race for Chicago Mayor, I suspect they read quite well ... particularly the signature on their paychecks ... not the official, public paychecks they receive from the state, the other ones.

IIRC, even if they pass the full bill the Dem Sec. of State still has to publish it. That's how the legislature got into this mess, is because he waited for the unions to get their deals and buy a judge when he should have published it after it was passed. The same thing would have happened if they had passed the entire bill as soon as the fleebaggers returned.

Prosser is a solid conservative. He is also our best bet for keeping our State Supreme Court conservative leaning. I wouldn't be too hasty to judge how Wisconsin reacts to this budget repair process by what most people see on TV. Madison is a VERY liberal city and once one ventures out of Madison the people are much more moderate. The fact that a Madison court put a temporary kerbosh on this bill should have suprised no one.

The Democrats in our state got their asses handed to them last election...the people of Wisconsin had their say. If the SSC stays conservative leaning the Liberal judge in Madison should be overturned.

well, the issue is not the publishing of the law, that can only be postponed 10 days.  The issue that is being sued  on is this 24 hour notice item, which irrelevant as the rule passed by 2 of the fleeing dems 2 years ago, said that in a special session that 24 hour rule does not apply.

So, if the bill is voted on again, 24 hour notice given, and it will pass, as the votes are there, Gov walker signs it into law, then the sos be a jerk and wait to publish it, he can only wait 10 days, but at the end of 10 days, its law. Then there is nothing for the judge to be an activist about.

This is why I dont understand, quorum can be called, pass the thing again.

I believe bringing the bill up again will be a prelude to even a bigger circus tham we had last time. I feel it would be better at this point in time, with the curent makeup of our State Supreme Court to let them deal with it.

Though wouldn't the judge just find something else? After all, the rules were followed here yet she used the 24hr notice as an excuse to rule against the bill. Who's to say she won't do that another time? I'm not saying that they should avoid passing it another time, just that it seems the outcome would be similar because this woman is an activist judge who is ignoring the law.

She's stalling in hopes that A) someone will figure out another trick to defy the majority vote, and B) she can drag it out until the State Supreme Court election in hopes that they can change the balance on the court before this gets there.

Like everything Democrats do in politics, it's an attempt to game the system so they can't lose. One of many reasons we keep losing, and one of many reasons we have to learn how to stop losing - first by making their machinations more public.

Getting people to understand that when they're too locked up making ends meet and entertaining themselves is the problem.
