— Ace Michelle Malkin is doing what she can to help find her missing cousin -- which is just getting the word out, getting her picture out there. A lot of these mysteries are solved just this way. People see stuff. Sometimes they don't realize they've seen something important until later.

She was last seen at the University District Safeway in Seattle, between 1 and 2 pm, this Saturday just past (the 5th).
If you've seen this girl -- Marizela Perez, a University of Washington student -- let the authorities know!

maybe personal tracking devices aren't such a bad idea?

You know, I didn't even think of that possibility. That would be some absolutely sick, twisted shit if true.
Payback would be epic.

It's weird. My sister emailed me yesterday to see if I had heard of this. Apparently, her co-worker's daughter was friends with Marizela in high school. She's originally from Egg Harbor Township in NJ, but was living out here to go to college. I emailed her back and told her that I did know about it because it was on Michelle Malkin's homepage since Marizela is her cousin.
I guess MM was here in Seattle yesterday, looking for her. The neighborhood she's living in (Rainier Valley) is pretty sketchy, although, she supposedly did make it off the train closer to the U.
I don't have a good feeling about this. She was also on anti-depressant medications, so there's that too.

Beautiful girl.
She looks like Michelle's doppleganger in the pic in the sidebar.
How long has it been now? Five days. Not good. Last I read (which was two days ago), they weren't suspected foul play.

Yeah, she is the spittin' image of Michelle Malkin.
Hopefully she is just rebeling at her family and is hiding out. Or something like that.
Just thought of this... Is it Easter / Spring break for her college?
If it is, there might be a benign explanation. She's on a college holiday road trip or something.
I hope.

Rainer Valley where she lives has turned into gang central these days. The area around UW isn't much better.
The Libs here like to put their criminals back on the street as soon as possible so they can get their voting rights back.

Ace of Spades, now the internet's high-tech milk carton.
Speaking of milk cartons, I bet the left is thinking about putting President "If American workers are being denied their right to organize when I'm in the White House, I will put on a comfortable pair of shoes and I will walk on that picket line with you as president of the United States"* on a milk carton about now.

My gut feeling says this has something to do with her anti-depressent meds. I'm guessing she skipped town for a few days, and will eventually turn back up. I hope that's the case, anyway.

Spring break at UW isn't til March 20-27.
Rainer Valley where she lives has turned into gang central these days. The area around UW isn't much better.
Rainier Valley is where the cop killer (shot 4 Lakewood police officers in a coffee shop), Maurice Clemmons was killed--right in front of my Aunt's house. It used to be a working class, lower income neighborhood with housing projects. The housing projects got torn down and "mixed housing" was built. We have some middle class friends who moved into the mixed housing who said "We're still waiting for the rich people to move in"--another friend of mine looked at them and said "You are the rich people."
And yeah, the U has some high crime areas surrounding it, including the Ave.

In order to ride the Link Light rail, you have to use an Orca card. Sound Transit should be able to determine where her card was used and at least verify whether she did or didn't get on the train.
If I remember correctly, transit cameras showed her getting off the train.
And the idea that some angry liberal kidnapped this girl to hurt Michelle Malkin is as ludicrous as it is sad.
I hope you're right, and I don't think that's what happened either, but angry liberals are sending Republican legislators in WI death threats, and Peter King has been getting them too.

Medication is used to keep you balanced. People who are off their meds do irrational things, whether they're depressed, bipolar, etc... Another potential scenario is that she blew her brains out... I think we all hope she just skipped town.

I met them at the last Seattle Moron Meet-up (which Editor had in Fremont, in "pissing distance of the Lenin statue"--it was the night of the mid-term elections). I asked them if they were going to have plastic surgery to alter their faces after hanging out with us. They were really cool. They said they moved there thinking they could change things from within. I asked them how that was going, and they said "not so good."

heh! You're drowing out all the Joan Baez and Peter Paul and Mary music then! I hope you're blowing out big cigar/cigarette fumes too--to cover up the stench of patchouli.
I very rarely go there. Occasionally have done the Fremont 5K, and ate there a couple of times. That's about it. So Robtr, I'm guessing you don't go partake of the Solstice Parade activities and go gawk at the nekkid bike riders?

Miracles.
O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full

the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours.
Amen. (Say 13 Paters, Aves, and Glorias)"

Super pretty girl. I always worry when I hear about some girl missing and then they show the picture and she's good looking. Always makes me think some freak grabbed them and, well, you know.
I pray that's not the case here and that she's o.k. Sometimes people do just drop out of sight for a few days because they're overwhelmed with stuff.

There are several reasons and grim evidence that cause the family to remain gravely concerned about MarizelaÂ’s safety, health, and well-being.
Very sad/scary. Prayers up on behalf of her parents and all of MM's family.

This probably isn't the best place for the obligatory "boned," but...
The PNW in general, and the Sea-Tac area in particular, is...uh...it's not a place where missing women come back.
Hope she left.

It seems like the family is as much worried about something she might have done to herself as much as something that might have been done to her.
In any event, there's a reason cops won't take a missing persons report for the first day or two. A lot of people just sort of say "fuck it" and disappear for a couple days, only to reappear unharmed. Fingers crossed that this is what's going on here.
