Hey, Remember This?
— LauraW

This has been a shocking, trying, saddening, and infuriating week.

One more shot at the leftist media swine who tried to frame specific individuals on the Right, along with an entirely legitimate, mainstream political movement, with mass-murder-by-deranged-proxy.

Because of a rhetoric of violence.

And words like 'target.' Ooooh. Okay.

The left always conducts its activities with the assumption that their political opponents are honorable human beings with whom they simply disagree on matters of policy.

So genteel, so sweetly and intellectually persuasive. Unlike you racist hillbilly scum and your vile crosshairs on maps.

I gotta tell you. Shoving this stuff right back up their asses** is never going to get old.

12 Speaking of the "theology of the left":  You know someone I know who saw her in person says that she looks like bloomies twin....well maybe they weren't far off, if the parents have their way she may not even last the month.  You just don't say stuff like this in NYC.....:"Parents fume over Black's 'birth control' quip about overcrowding"
I mean does she want to be the object of Glenn Beck's attention?

13 All British schools are essentially 'charter schools'.  There are three types, or classifications of schools there, but any non-profit group ( usually a religious org ) can form a school and get government funding if it meets national standards

14 Stage 1: Vitriol, lies, abuse, false accusations.
Stage 2: Claim the center ground, demand civility.
Stage 3: Carry on with the assumption that the lies from #1 are true, refuse to discuss it, repeat #2 as needed.

It's a frame-up, they do it over and over again.

Don't let them.

The GOP should boycott MSNBC, CNN, NPR (and defund NPR) etc. And say why.

Iowahawk retweets it.

19 OT but nowhere else to post it:

Good news - per Drudge, the NYT is set to release an expose on the origins of the Stuxnet worm.  I think we can safely assume that the word "Israel" will be prominently featured, or else the Slimes wouldn't bird dog the story for so long.  If any Jews are killed in the aftermath of this unnecessary disclosure then that's just too bad because, well, they're Jews and as Saint Helen has already informed us they should just go back to Germany for complete eradication.

25 A question for the Maroons: Is there a good anti-propaganda book you'd recommend? All of the lefty rhetoric was perfected by Goebbels and his fun loving friends at the National Socialist Workers' party (NAZI), and what a party it was, and it's all being used here and now in my beloved America by the lefty loons and their ministers of Love in the MFM. Now we got the stupid kids being indoctrinated in it daily at school, stupid adults getting programmed by the talking heads on their TVs. What's a response strategy for us? You know that Orwell's 2 minute hate is going to be turned into the 2 year hate leading up to 2012. What the hell do we do to save the best country ever? Has any applied some critical thinking to how to respond to the big lie and all the rest of the left tactics?

You know, fuck liberals. You're all God-damned lying sacks of shit. I am so fucking tired of the constant lies, vitriol, and false accusations.

No cooperation. No bipartisanship. I will work to have all of your pet projects defunded, and all your politicians unelected. I will encourage Republicans to avoid cooperating with you. You show no collegialism, no fellow-feeling, no compassion or empathy, it's been an endless stream of hate-filled bullshit for my entire adult life, and I will personally encourage everyone I can to simply no be an enabler for you anymore.

It has to end. If the left won't stop the lies, vitriol and abuse, they have to be marginalized to the point where it doesn't matter.

And that goes for the 90% of the MFM that act in concert with them.

The best andidote to the left is exposure to the real world. Help your kid start a business. Plenty of teenagers have started successful businesses. They have access to a target market and they know what the other kids like. They also have access to free marketing on the internets. We've come a long way from the days of the lemonade stand.

The only other answer is home-schooling, but that's difficult and time consuming.

The best andidote to the left is exposure to the real world. Help your kid start a business.

One of my best running friends, who's a raging conservative, has a younger brother who's a total Demotard. He has raised his kids as Demotards and promoted leftist causes. Said brother has a son who is now in his 20's.  He got his first "real" job (involving sales and commission).  The kid worked really hard and was top in sales for the company.  He was appalled when he saw how much of his paycheck was stolen from him in "taxes".  He could not believe it.  My friend's brother called my friend and told him "Hey guess what, my kid is turning into one of you."

Heh!  It's just like that old Churchill quote, and yeah, there's nothing like getting mugged by reality.  Unfortunately, some people never see the light.

That is a gigantic topic. For GWOT check out jihadwatch's book section. For history the list is vast but "Blacklisted by History" by M. Stanton Evans was mentioned in another thread today.

We should have a thread on this. Economics - Friedman, Racial policies - Sowell, MFM - Bernard Goldberg...

Guy named Schweikart has one "48 liberal lies about American history" I have not read yet.

We should remember to bring it up on the book thread tomorrow and get people going.

Depressing but probably (mostly) true. Much of the American Radical Left is essentially a guided missile fired before the USSR fell and still flying.

I had some peripheral involvement in academia in the late 80s / early 90s and a number of people were still getting marching orders, though they thought of themselves as partners rather than the tools they were.

Ultimately they think they're planners and masters and they're just cultural and economic suicide bombers.

If all the comments about football in this thread were deleted would it make any significant difference to...anything?

This topic is pretty much spent. So we can either sit here and twiddle our thumbs waiting for another post to pop up, or we can chit-chat about shit in the meantime.

Curious. When you go to a liberal catholic mass remember that liberal takes precedence over catholic.

I went to a meeting once where Fr. Jerry Creedon came in. He was the priest that went from arlington to Teddy Chivas Kennedy's funeral. He started in on this highly lefty political rant. Took me 5 minutes of listening to his marxist horseshit to determine that he thought he was saying the opening prayer!

I don't actually eat radishes....but if you can find some Obatzda, add some some bread, some radishes, and a liter of wheat beer and you have a fabulous lunch.

Yeah, and just try to communicate this (the AT article)  to your average neighbor, acquaintance, family member.  You get painted a conspiracy theorist, tin foil hat wearing, race hating, fascist.  Regardless of the truth.  They just want Nascar, sports and Reality TV.  Dont' bother them with the facts. They'd prefer to die with a remote in their hands. Don't dare try to make them actually think.

Go read some of JR Nyquist's stuff.  That is a perspective that will leave you chilled.

If a raccoon recipe shows up on the football thread, I'm calling the cops.

You lost me at "NYT."

No link to NYT gets followed. Any content from NYT is ignored. Any news from NYT is considered propaganda. NYT is a four letter word. And Krugman is still a Clymer*. In fact Krugman was probably a Clymer before Clymer was a Clymer.

100 99 I was laughing like hell last night at a NYT "weekend" package subscription commercial. I know their target audience and so do they. They had a metrosexual effeminant black-turtlenecked lenin-glasses douchebag whiner as their spokesperson. It was followed by a commercial for two aids pills a day keep you alive and cost 40 cents.

101 87 None of these environmental groups will tone down their rhetoric. They really believe it's a life and death issue.

Posted by: CDR M at January 15, 2011 03:54 PM (5I8G0)

You may have noticed that everything is life-or-death, no compromise, absolute certainty to the left - from AGW to housing policy, from Illegal immigration to Smelt.

The problem is not so much passion but certainty - they begin with the assumption that their position is correct, and rarely reconsider. When they do reconsider it's usually a matter of doctrinal consistency rather than learning new facts.

105 I was listening to Monica Crowley before and she had brent bozzell, a guy from the sister site of newsbusters and he managed to show how Sarah Palin was tied to the event in Arizona "before we even heard the sex of the child who was killed"....so that was pretty much right away.  Then he was fascinating as he showed how you could tie Algore to the unabomba and the discover channel shooter but that no one did that.   Well the left wasn't going to do it, the independents don't want to get involved and the republican/conservatives have way too much class.

You know, I don't claim to have any kind of authority around here, but it's a sad day when a Bond Villain doesn't even command an iota of respect, not to mention fawning obeisance, even from whiners.

118 "Shove it up their ass", and give it a full twist.

There was a video a while back which I just can't seem to find. Starts with David Gergen and other pundits talking about a culture of violence/ extremist rhetoric, ostensibly coming from the right; then cuts to a whole lot of lefty examples of the accusation.  Well, back to the search.

119 runningrn,  It doesn't matter if the Church announces an excommunication or not.

Certain acts confer automatic excommunication,  regardless of whether anyone makes a statement or not.

Praying to a pagan deity in public is one of those acts.

What the hell do we do to save the best country ever?

Get the kidz away from the TV, take their cell phones and video games, teach them trades instead of sending them to indoctrination centers college.  Vote with your wallet every time you open it and get involved with politics at your local level.  Starve the beasts of banking and media as much as possible by paying as little to them as you can (assuming you can't pull the plug entirely.)

It won't be easy or comfortable.
