— Dave in Texas I really hate it when old commies won't own it and complain later "oh, I never!"
Hanoi Jane wanted to promote her book about aging and the "life cycle." Damn those old people and their stupid memories!
Somebody call the waaaahmbulance.
The network said they got a lot of calls yesterday criticizing me for my opposition to the Vietnam War and threatening to boycott the show if I was allowed to appear.
Bottom line, this has gone on far too long, this spreading of lies about me! None of it is true. NONE OF IT! I love my country. I have never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us.
None of it is true? Oh ninja, please. Check out the links at the link. She never did anything to hurt our country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us.. except condemn the men who fought for us then as purposefully attacking civilians, and the men who returned from communist POW camps as "hypocrites and liars".
Please, please whine some more about how businesses decline to peddle your wares because it's been "so long now, and that's all in the past" Jane.
I could respect her (perhaps, ok I'm lyin) if she denounced it. I'll be damned if I'll feel an ounce of pity over her stupid ass "pretending it never happened".
It happened.

The hell with her and her "oh this isn't fair".
via Monty, who does a damned good impression of J-Dog Stalin communicating in code on an Enigma machine, if I do say so myself (see the comments).

She was filming something in New England and made that non-apology apology to minimize protests against whatever her project was up there.

Well, I saw a recent interview with Peter Fonda, in which he recalled Jane telling him when he was 13 about how she had just lost her virginity; she was 16.
Peter demonstrated how Jane put her hands together and squeezed them to make farting sounds, and said, "This is what it sounds like when you have sex."
My sister has never once discussed her sexual experiences with me, nor has she ever shown me what sex sounds like. But we're far-right lunatics, so maybe we're not hip to what average American siblings get up to.

They aren't extremist. Jane jumped on a weapon used to murder Americans and lionized communist monsters we were at war with. There's nothing extremist at all about holding that against her.
Jane Fonda hasn't changed a bit. Some might think she is secretly ashamed of herself for her foolish behavior in the past, but in reality, she still thinks veterans are horrible people. She still hates America. She's just resigned to profit off it anyway.

Yeah, she got it temporarily taking over Hanoi Hannahs place on Radio Hanoi which was a station used to send propoganda programs to American Sodiers. Jane made Hanoi Hannah look like a piker.

Hanoi Jane wanted to promote her book about aging and the "life cycle."
Any chance that she's near tapped out, needs cash, and can't bring herself to publicly beat (her ex) Tom Hayden's ass for, decades ago, having spent heaps of her money on his selected Santa-Monica-Whackjob-Left political causes?
Heh.

There is still a particular resentment against her among those who serve in the U.S. military. For example, at the U.S. Naval Academy, when a plebe shouts out "Goodnight Jane Fonda!", the entire company will reply "Goodnight bitch!"

She wore out my penis, and then kicked me to the curb like a used Twinkie wrapper. Can't even count all the fractures and nodules. That limp thang hasn't been put to good use since. I tried, but it's like trying to shoot pool with a piece of rope.

Gotta disagree. Fonda's phoney shock value vulgarity stunt was incredibly lame and justifies the criticism, but I think she should have been prosecuted for treason and sentenced accordingly.
I wouldn't mind if they did it to her today. Obviously that won't happen, but that's how seriously I take what she did.
Sure, she is a phony 'edgy' type who revels in being a pariah until it hurts her sales, but I don't care about that at all. I care about the betrayal.

It was like a squat, only you bent your torso as much as possible. It was an incredibly ab and quadriceps exercise but it also looks like you were sticking your head up your ass.
When he first called out her name for an exercise I almost spoke up in protest. I thought he was ripping off one of her workout techniques from her videos. Obviously I didn't protest. Only an idiot would have spoken back to this man.
So there I was, happy when I realized that this humiliating and painful exercise was meant to express a profound disrespect for that awful woman. Seriously, the effect lasted for the entire two months of basic training. Whenever I was suffering through this smoking session (this was easily the worst exercise) I would get through it because I was delighted we were insulting Jane Fonda.

Screw little Janey Fondle--with someone else's dick. It's like being a "reformed" whore. You can quit the business--but you're still a whore.
Only she's a traitorous bitch. She was then--and she still is now.
Years ago my wife bought a Jane Fonda exercise tape. I've never let her play it.

Two months or so ago I was in an American Legion Hall out in the San Gabriel Valley (eastern suburbs of Los Angeles). I recall seeing her face on a medallion in the bottom of one of the urinalls. You could kinda pee in her mouth as it were. It's been 40 plus years, but those old boys haven't forgotten.
Of course like a lot of American Legion Halls they serve beer, and some of the old boys are a bit unsteady on their feet after they've had a few. And if they didn't have a good target to aim their Obama stick at some of it might hit the floor. I bet they cut their latrine cleaning bill down a whole bunch after they put the Fonda medallions in.

Late, waay drunk, just a quick post on Hanoi Jane,
It was my father's war, his history, his experience she belittled. It was him she was trying to kill on the AA gun, it was him she was cheerleading against.
But he never said a word. While I would like to say he "suffered in silence" or some tear jerking BS about the spit, the protests, the hippie who threatened him in the grocery store parking lot, He honestly took it all in stride -except the hippie, he bashed his head into the front of the car, brook the ornament and put a nice dent in the hood. He never fixed either damages, and kept the car til the day he died-always willing to tell the story.
Before he died (1980's), we had a funny discussion about an article he read concerning Jane Fonda finding Christ. I asked him about forgiveness for her youthfull stupidity-
His response was telling:
"Youthful indiscretions are one thing, but when you stand by them for your whole life they are your core.
She would have to sell off everything and donate the proceeds to some Vietnam Vet organization for the families with lost loved ones or something, strip naked or at least do the sackcloth and ashes while laying prostrate in front of the Vietnam Memorial, and beg forgiveness of not only God but all her fellow man who went to war to protect her sorry ass. "
He died a couple years later.

One answer to that question is "Watergate".
Why not charge them now? Sadly, Jimmuh Carter's blanket pardon of those who committed criminal offenses related to the war precludes trying either of them now.
As Bill Ayers said of himself: "Guilty as sin - free as a bird".
OJ is reviled for two murders - he is a pathetic piker compared to Hanoi Jane and Lurch. How many lives destroyed? Who can even count them all?

It is strange to see the worm turn for Hanoi Jane. She remained a popular figure in the 1980's. Her movies, like 9-to-5, were popular. Her Jazzercise videos were top sellers with women everywhere. The whole leg-warmer look of 1980's fashion was propelled largely because of her videos.
It was hard to take at the time. She remained a treasonous persona-non-grata in my mind for what she did about Vietnam. She seemed to have been given a pass on that in popular culture of the 80's. It was as if all was forgiven. Chapped my ass.
Has all that changed now? The woman and her ilk, and I'm looking at you John "Swift Boat" Kerry, ought to be shunned and defamed in an America with any sense of honor. It is a good day if that is finally starting to happen. If those chickens are finally coming home to roost.
