— Ace Losing major cities? Bad.
Losing oil-rich coasts? Worse.
Losing your paid big-breasted "nurse"? It's over.
And I'm not just being silly -- Gadaffy presumably has much more control over this prostitute than the average man in the street of Tripoli. She's close to him, she's important to him, and as he says, "I either rule you or I kill you."
So now she's splitting. Possibly with his approval, but if that's the case, he knows he's done. And if he's not insisting she go down, Eva Braun style, with him, maybe he's thinking about sparing Tripoli his last bloodbath, too.

However, I'm pretty sure Mr. Grace is much more charming than Kolonel K.

Or as Clarence Boddicker would say...

The nurse could have become a Labian national hero. Hit the reset button and be Nurse Ratched for a day by cutting off Ga-Daffy's love stick and watching him bleed oil. It would have been a befitting end, and she could have become the Lorena Bobbitt of Labia.

Years ago my best friend's brother was in the navy. We went down to see him and it was not long after the bombing in Beirut. All security on naval bases had been assigned to Marines and anyone running the gate was to be shot. The night before we got there a sailor had blow the gate in his car and a Marine Guard nailed him through the back of the head with a single shot.

You should look into renai.
Know someone who did over a house. They put one in for the kids and one for the master bedroom. this is a guy who likes his hot hot showers and was keeping a 75 gallon, I think, it was humongous, hot water heater and it was replaced by two of these hanging on the basement wall. They have 6 teenagers in the house and the two parents and before if everyone took showers after one another someone always got a cold shower. Now they can do that and everyone gets a hot shower.

Home Depot? Lowe's? Someplace that will deliver the thing to your door.
A little trick. When removing the old/broken water heater, get a wet/dry shop vac and suck out the last 5-8 gallons in the bottom of the water heater (use duct tape to seal the hose to the drain spigot). That water in the bottom weighs 40-60 lb, and is a bear to haul out to the curb with all that dead weight in it.

If you go for a conventional hot water heater my friend who joined his dad's plumbing business was talking the other night about getting a stainless steel hot water heater. He said the upfront cost, like for the rinai, are more but, in the long run, the water stays very much hotter so your costs drop. He explained it to us by saying "isn't your best tea pot stainless steel"? We were discussing this cause one of my friend's mom has to replace her hot water heater.

I replaced mine a few years ago. It was easy as hell. Of course mine was electric and I have PVC pipe which all makes it a lot easier.
The hardest part was getting rid of the old one. The hardware store charged me $5.00 disposal fee but I had to still get rid of it myself. The $5.00 fee is just another tax the county charges.

OT From the Comcast Home Page:
The obsession among MSNBC’s talk personalities with the ravings of their higher-rated rivals on Fox News Channel continued Thursday night with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell picking apart FNC’s Glenn Beck – again.
I'm not sure what bothers me about this-- that these two are spedning time feuding (although in O'Donnell's defense, it's a good thing to feud up), that Comcast finds it to be a good bit of news-slash-gossip, or that the article seems to defend Beck while calling his show "ravings" and laughing behind their hands at MSNBC's stunted ratings.
Or something else entirely...

I think Roe v Wade should be reversed but this bill is ludicrous. What's more it has zero chance of being passed and even less chance of remaining in place if it did pass.
It requires a woman who had a miscarriage to prove that she did not do anything to cause the miscarriage.
This bill will only give the Dems a ready made weapon.

Most of the time the hot water heater just needs a new heating element. There are two. If one goes out you have less hot water. It doesn't always call for a new machine. It should last 20-25 years with heating element replacements.

Good point. My folk's hot water heater was about 30 years old before it was replaced, and it limped along the last 10 years of its life with heating element replacements.
The only reason they got another water heater was to get a bigger heater. That there were 3 women (my mom, my sister, and her friend) living in the house at that time had absolutely nothing to do with it,
.
Speaking of Libya, I saw somewhere that Sissypants has spoken up - said that Gadaffy should leave now. Bet the Crazy Col is just quaking in his boots at that ultimatum.

Nothing lasts that long anymore. I mnanaged to squeeze 2 years out of a water heater with element replacements till it leaked all over the living room. Guy who replaced it was amazed that the elements kept it alive for that long.

RAF Hercules fly more than 150 oil workers to Malta – but up to 500 still stranded in compounds
More than 150 workers were dramatically rescued from the Libyan desert as two RAF Hercules aircraft – backed by the SAS – pulled off a high-risk evacuation of British and other citizens.
As world leaders united to demand that Muammar Gaddafi face the full consequences of what Barack Obama called the "brutalisation" of his people, the defence secretary, Liam Fox, confirmed that the rescue had been a success, so far.
It is believed that units of British special forces secured runways to allow the Hercules aircraft to land safely.
Alan Burnett, a surveyor who was rescued by HMS Cumberland from the port of Benghazi, gave a vivid account of the danger that the stranded oil workers were facing. "We went through a horrific time," he said: "Our camp was raided by a marauding gang. If it wasn't nailed down they were taking it, laptops, whatever.
"You couldn't argue with five or six people with machetes. I'm not going to criticise the government, they may have been late but the response when it happened was excellent."

I was reading it and thought the claim that shooting in black and white somehow blurred the stripes was strange, then they used football not being broadcast in black and white because players would run into refs who appeared invisible to back it up. It was a nice touch throwing in the bit about the zebra coming from Jungleland. I visited there many times as a child, having grown up (to the extent that I grew up) in Thousand Oaks. The Snopes folks are local to the region, residing in nearby Agoura.
Even if you'd never seen a horse or zebra close up, the bit about color vs. B&W TV was also utterly nonsensical.
