He was throwing Reid a bone, since they appear to be somewhat working together to come up with a solution that, while it will mostly be along the lines of a Republican approach, Reid can either get behind, or at the very least, get out of the way of Blue Dogs in the Senate, so that they can vote with Republicans.

This morning on Morning Joe they spent 15 minutes discussing the tax rates of the 400 biggest earners in a given year. Apparently these 400 are both under taxed and unable to do anything about it. And it's a big problem as it consumed the entire segment.

As the story closed they threw in a punchline: worth $80 billion over 10 years, and likely from a static analysis. The Democrats aren's serial.

I just read (sort of) the comments re: O'Barky's daily message. Thank you for taking that bullet for me. From what I can tell he had nothing new to say.

If he practices this same speech on teleprompter enough maybe he will have it memorized. I always hope something exciting will happen, like projectile diarrhea, and he has to run for the exit (like Joe Paterno did during a game). That would be worth watching.
