I'm not sure if I can see it right now as much as I want to.
It's like going through a really bad breakup only to watch depressing chick flicks for a few hours.

I think the reason for the 41 on Gallup is that they may poll more liberals than Rasmussen and libs are mad at the O right now.
Who knows. Gallup has pulled this stuff before only to have Obama rebound 8 points in 3 days for no particular reason.

Currently getting a ZERO on rottentomatoes.com They say it has nothing to do abouit politics, but it is a low budget, poor production values, terrible acting, mess.
This from a group of critics who are known for their insightful insights into politics...
This is not one of "those types" of movies. This is a message movie. No big names, except for Quark.

The rotten tomatoes critics have it at 6% right now. The audiance (5,300+ voters) give it 86%...
Gee, whatever could be causing the difference?

I would be exceptionally skeptical about those official fresh/rotten ratings. Esp with (Currently) an 86% like rating; and the concentrated Hollywood campaign to ensure it was never made.

I understand there is a red carpet showing in DC tonight that is being hosted by Marco Rubio with republicans and business leaders in black tie.

Actually, the viewer rating is 83%, the professional movie reviewers(read extremely liberal no talented hack english majors who couldn't get jobs elsewhere) have give it low ratings.

Taking your piece? Isn't The Waterfront is kind of like "I Am Legend" when the sun goes down? I live out of town now, and have only been there a couple times, but it seemed that way.

One other prediction about Atlas Shrugged: it is going to do some serious DVD/Blu-Ray/streaming-video bank. There are lots of folks out there who don't go to movies much, but will watch the flick once it hits the home-video circuit.
yeah at the movie website, there are a ton of foreigners begging for the film to be released in their countries. I have a feeling it will do fairly well nationally as well.
It cost 10-15 million to make, I'm betting it breaks even after the first week.
I plan on showing up to the theater about an hour early because I have a feeling it will be sold out and i like having an aisle seat.

Yes A.S. sure is dull, with all those people just standing around and discussing, and the molten steel pouring out of the broken furnace, the pirate raids, not one but several train wrecks, an airplane crash or two, the Project X planet-cracker sonic weapon going off, Wyatt's Torch, all of d'Anconia Copper's holdings going up at once, Dagny's orgasms, and of course the torture machine [warning: spoilers]. It's insufferable I tells ya. "Just couldn't hold my interest."
Ooh is that arrogant? Take it up with Leonard Peikoff and the Honey Badger.

Well done, obviously low budget, but the acting is excellent, the characters are wholly believable. The gal who plays Dagney nail it! Barney Frank is NOT going to like this movie, the Wesley Mouch character IS Barney Frank. I will definitely be going to see this again. Highlights: the first run of the John Galt line and the finale.
Well done!

I really hate what has happened to movies in general. Unless you count movies for the kids (e.g., the Toy Story series) the last ones I've seen at a theater were Passion of the Christ and United 93.
This is the only one since then that I want to see badly enough that I'll bother go to the theater.
Preznit Toonces oughta be tied to a chair with his eyelids glued open to watch this thing - - with me sitting on his right to bitchslap 'im every time the gov't does something stupid and/or outrageous (that is, every few seconds).
