— Ace The "candidate" getting the most negative press? Obama, a study finds.
Overlooking the fact that Obama is not merely a candidate, but supposedly has a day job as President of the United States, and his performance in that job is of such a low level as to earn the nickname SCOAMFOTUS.
The media will now take this "study" as a pretext for being even easier on the Naked Emperor.
As a "corrective" to the anti-Obama bias they're demonstrating.
Despite these important caveats, media writers are already using Pew’s research to claim the media have an anti-Obama bias. “President Obama has received more negative press coverage in recent months than any of his prospective GOP challengers,” wrote the Boston Globe’s Donovan Slack.CBSNews.com’s Brian Montopoli parroted: “President Obama ‘has suffered the most unrelentingly negative treatment’ of all presidential candidates over the past five months.” And Politico’s Hagey: “Obama has received the most unremittingly negative press of any of the presidential candidates by a wide margin, with negative assessments outweighing positive ones by four to one.”
Could that possibly be true? Well, here's what Pew did: They defined media to mean include blogs, and not only big blogs with some slight amount of influence, but apparently all of them:
[Pew also separately looked at “hundreds of thousands” of blogs, which again means that the few dozen top-ranked influential blogs are buried in a mass of data that includes vast numbers of low-trafficked and irrelevant sites.]
Ridiculous.
So all conservative blogs trash Obama. Fine. And then liberal blogs would like to trash Republican candidates, but there are 11 of them, so the bile gets spread thin around, between a near dozen contenders... and then Pew can write stupid things like "Obama's getting more negative coverage in 'the media' than any other candidate."

Reminds me of the "study" I saw a few years ago in Scientific American magazine, a respected publication that has turned into a Demoganda rag. It compared the percent of favorable media articles for McCain and Obama, and it was published just before the 2008 election as I recall. Turns out McCain had much more favorable coverage! Huh?
So naturally you assume the sturdy compared Obama v. McCain coverage head-to-head, during the post-nomination period before the election itself. But you would be wrong. The comparison was during the time when Hillary was "inevitable", and McCain was being touted by the MSM as the best RINO!
So they really measured Obama's coverage vs. their favoriate Hillary before the nomination to their favorite McCain vs. the other Republicans at the same time.

This reminds me of when I was a kid competing for the Presidential Fitness Award during the 80's. Everyone competed in several events, and if you met the standard set forth, you recieved an award. My best friend and I were quite good at the events and recieved our awards every year on the first try. The gym teacher who ran the operation was as soft as vanilla pudding.
Since we had a domination of the events, we were not allowed to compete during regular class time, we had to do our's after school....Why?
After our parents asked the gym teacher, he said that we dominated the events and it was not fair for the other kids to have to try to live up to our level of physical fitness, and those that failed would be compared to us.
Shortly after this DodgeBall was outlawed on the playground, and kickball teams had to have the same number of girls on each team or we couldn't play. Some wonder what has happend to our country.....I know exactly what happend.

The study tracks what happened to tax filers 25 years of age and up during this 10-year period. Obama sends military advisers to central AfricaPresident Barack Obama said on Friday he was sending about 100 U.S. troops to central Africa to help and advise government forces battling Ugandan Lord's Resistance Army rebels accused of murder, rape and kidnapping children....
In a letter to Congress, Obama said the first U.S. forces arrived in Uganda on Wednesday and would be deployed to South Sudan, the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of the Congo "subject to the approval of each respective host nation."
Read the whole thing, my linky-fu sucks but it's the top story if you plug that headline into a search engine. Note Obama did not ask permission of Congress first, he merely sent Congress a letter telling them he had already sent the troops. Imagine if Bush had done that............
