Apologies to all and thanks again to the wicked wit and savage love of the Morons. My words cannot begin to express how much it means to me.Also, I'm sorry but will not be able to respond right away to any comments this may receive -- will be at the Kaiser Intensive Out Patient session most of today, where the hope is I'll learn to become a bit more human. That should be something interesting and new. I will let you know how that turns out. The first step will be learning to shut my mouth and contain the vitriol around the psychiatrists so that I don't get locked up again. If I don't return here, you'll know how that went.
Take care and flame on, Morons. Be the energy that feeds the fire that this country needs.
Good to be back.
-- Cali Grump
Another email came later. He wants to start a new party.
Got ejected from the nuthouse yesterday. Yeah, yeah, I know: 86'd from the nuthouse? Is OK, I've been thrown out of better places than that. Anyone who says I should get thrown back in will get no argument from me. I have to mention that the giftshop at the loony bin had some awesome straight-jackets. Can't wait to wear mine next time to the next Moron meetup.I am deeply apologetic to both my long-suffering family and to my adopted family of the Morons. I didn't wish to garner any attention or concern, just wanted to say goodbye, as I figured I'd gone so far over the edge that getting locked up for good seemed like the only path I'd be on, and did not think I'd ever return to my second home here in the Land of Moron.
While I was locked away I had plenty of time to think. Like why people in the nuthouse were watching American Fucking Idol. As if their lives didn't suck enough already. Ah well, it could have been worse -- it could have been The View.
The other thought was that the residents here in the Land of Moron could become the catalyst for change in my beloved America. Specifically, The Flaming Skull Party.
If lefties don't like the Tea Party, they're going to hate the Flaming Skull Party. As Peggy Noonan is to the Stupid Party, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin and Ace would be to the FSP: the voices of dignified restraint. P.J. O'Rourke could serve as security cop, sitting on a barstool in the corner, every so often standing up to yell "Knock it off Morons -- that's a little over the top."
I really do think the Flaming Skull Party (FSP) would have broader and more deeply felt appeal than either major party or the Tea Party. And it would be a hell of a party. The t-shirts would be epic and of course, the guys'd get shirts.
I see all the debris being piled up on this wonderful country and I think the FSP could pour a can of gas on it and drop a lit match that starts an immense and cleansing fire, a flaming conflagration* that returns this country back into the glory she once was and will be again. America has been and still is the country that the world looks up to, but it can be even more majestic and frightening to the rest of the world, and most Americans would realize this and stand with a renewed pride in where they live and what it stands for. Except for lefties but who cares what they think; we always need examples of stupid behavior and that'd be at least one thing they'd be good at.
MLK jr had a dream: whoopie do. I have a vision: The Flaming Skull Party. Flame on Morons. It's burn baby burn time in America.
So, apparently he has found a reason to live: Hate. Well, that's all I'm living for so why not?
Let me thank -- no, not thank; that's the wrong word -- let me praise the virtue of the morons who took an interest and acted in the heroic interest of saving a fellow human and fellow moron from a bad decision.
Starting with the heroic Arhooley.
Every once in a while the universe gives someone the chance to make a difference. All praise to those who seized it.

Hate and evil without humor is corrosive to the soul. You have to be unapologetically, gleefully evil.
It's not enough to put an American flag on your house just because it pisses off your libtard neighbor. You have to be creative. Like spraying Roundup around the neighbor's Obama '12 lawn sign.

heh~! From Mama's link:
The secret weapon behind the first ladyÂ’s fit arms can also be found in McClellan, who notes that the first couple likes to work out together early in the morning. MClellan trained the Obamas for more than ten years in Chicago, and now he makes weekly visits to the White House. He said the President likes to run on the treadmill and often tunes into ESPNÂ’s SportsCenter when burning a sweat. He offers little details on the first ladyÂ’s specific workouts, but he does say that she is eager and dedicated.
I scream B.S.! Moochelle is only working out her arms! (So maybe 15 minutes). And it sounds like her cardio involves boinking the trainer (since Barry won't do it).

C-Grump:
I was praying for an outcome like this! Fantastic. It's hard, especially on a smart, mil-blog like this, to even sense whether someone's hurting. In fact, that's usually impossible.
I'm so happy that the morons, especially arhooley, decided to take things seriously and that help came regardless of the degree to which it was actually needed.
Remember this, C-Grump, and I only add it because I suffer from some of the monsters we're talking about and have been frequently close to where we thought you were--take it seriously and don't be afraid to ask for help.
Those are the two obstacles that have been so serious to me in the past. I diregard it, thinking that "the blues" will pass soon. But sometimes they don't. Sometimes they get darker and they suck out your ability to do anything. Anything. And then, without a loved one watching you, you can be just fucked. Everytime I have asked for help or even just verbalized what I was feeling, people listened. My fear initially was that whenever I mentioned a funk--regardless of how serious it was--everyone in the room would grab a phone to put me in the hospital! Luckily, that's not what's happened, and as a result, we've learned more about my depression. It's not black and white. Sometimes the dark times fade quickly. Sometimes they hang on for weeks. Sometimes they're minor. Sometimes they make me fear sleep because the nightmares that can come are vicious, malevolent things. The blues can make me just a little grumpy (!) or can suck away all my energy and the pleasure just in doing.
I'm really sorry this is so long. Whenever I try to say something helpful to someone apparenly in your shoes, it always seems that I'm just taking the opportunity to talk about myself. But, really that's not what I'm trying to do. I want you to know some of the faces of The Beast if you're not acquainted because if I had that knowledge years ago, I would have been better off. The other reason I write, is that depression sucks, literally. It sucks joy, pleasure, enthusiasm, even righteous anger. And that's just what it takes from YOU (again, if you have it). The toll on loved ones is if anything much worse.
BUT--there are people to talk to and drugs to take. And they really do help. I'll never be free from this, but it's not so overwhelmingly daunting as it once was.
Can't give you drugs, but I'd be glad to talk. (I always remind my friends to call or text me when they have problems or are going through a bad time for any reason, and that they can call at any time, because they're likely to find me awake [we're still working on the nightmares]); I tell them, "I'm like a 7-Eleven, there's not much here, but I'm always open"!
Let me help if you need it, ok?

I know there isn't much I can add. But I will anyway...lol. Look I had bad, bad day today. I will explain more later, maybe if I am still awake when the ONT is up. But I felt like my world was crashing in on me. I have never cried at work. Not ever in 23 years. But I almost did today and my boss knew it. The stress is building at work ( we are very seasonal and now it's balls to the wall time). Later, as I was sitting waiting for a prescription to be filled (45 minutes) I sat and thought about this day. One thing remains. I have people who love me, and I have people who I love deeply. The world can go to shit, but that is one thing that will never change.
So now I come here and get an update from cali grump! We love ya brother, you have friends here. You have a family who loves you. You are a lucky man. This country WILL survive, I promise you that. Cuz the morons never say die.

I try and do my best to fight against leftist scum like Obama. I hope the good guys win, but I realize we might not. And that would really, really suck.
But even if we lose and Obama succeeds at destroying and debasing the character of America -- I'll still be proud to have played my small part in the noble 2035+ year American Experiment. Athens fell, Rome fell, the British Empire fell, America will fall one day too. That doesn't diminish the greatness of what the Ancients accomplished.
And even if we become France, or Mexico, or Brazil or some crappy-ass America-in-name-only piece of shit socialist country that is an insult to the memory of what America once was --- we'll still have internet porn, cheap beer, Oreo McFlurries, and video games. Dumbass college chicks will still drunkenly make booty shake videos with their girlfriends and upload them to youtube. Life will go on, even if the only thing left to look forward to is this weeks latest YouPorn uploads and the return of the McRib.

Cali Grump - Insanity has a lot in common with genius. In an irrational world, the rational seem insane. Drive on, brother.
I'm in with the FSP. I want a "Don't Make a Maniac Outta Me" t-shirt button down shirt with collar. Palin / Nugent 2012. Uncompromise.
If you head down Atlanta way, drop a line on the Yahoo or Facebook groups and we'll drink a beer.

I think (weirdly), therefore I am (a Moron).
Hang tough Cali G; it's good to hear from you. Stop by and rant sometime. Sort of a primal scream therapy.

Vitamin D3, 1000 i.u. A newly retired nurse from a medical college swears by it and I gave it a whirl. Definite mood improvement this past winter. I was interested in the Sam E, too, but it's pretty steep $$$.
momma, I answered your request at the tail end of the book thread.

Hang tough Cali Grump. Things will get better.
By the way, does the loony bin permit computers? A friend of mine wants to know.

So it won't end with spam:

Does the loony bin allow computers?
If the posts at places like the Daily Kos are any indication, not only is computer usage allowed in loony bins; it's mandated
