— Ace Part 1, and Part 2.
Part 1 ends with a discussion of her mentally retarded claims.
Michele Bachmann specified when this Mystery Woman approached her-- right after the debate, as she went to the edge of the stage to shake hands with debate-attendees and well-wishers. Seems likely there's videotape of this Lady In Tears.
A Man In Tears:
My parents refused to give me tetanus shots when I was growing up because they were afraid it might encourage me to play around abandoned, rusting farming equipment. -- JohnE.

The faster she implodes and fades the better. She is damaging to the Tea Party. She gives the MSM a dirt-filled pinata. We need the face of the TP to be more along the lines of Rubio, Johnson, DeMint and less along the lines of bug-eyed shitstarter. I was extremely uncomfortable with her behavior around Romney at the beginning of the last debate, almost like they were planning on tag-teaming Perry. Wouldn't be shocked if she pulls a Pawlenty at this point.

Bachmann said that Perry admitted that he made a mistake. Did he?
Yes he did, which is why this bothers me. Bachmann tore into him immediately after he acknowleged his mistake and apologized. For her to continue to rip him on this issue demonstrates that she doesn't quite know enough to drop it when to do so would have been to her advantage. Sure, she's getting a lot of media attention, but it's now for the wrong reasons IMHO.
What she could have done was to praise Perry for his admission of error and then continued to pound Obama, which is what everybody in the GOP should be concentrating on. All the candidates would do well to heed Newt's call for some measure of unification against the stuttering clusterfuck of a miserable failure who is currently fundamentally transforming the country for the worse against our will.

Huh. They've been promoting it pretty heavily on TV; from the trailers it looked a lot like a cheesy "Transporter" type of movie.
Usually, the number of TV advertisements for a movie is directly proportional to how badly it sucks, but that's only a general rule. Held true for "Conan" though. Maybe this one is an exception.

It shouldn't matter if this woman was a Dem operative. If someone told Bachmann that they were abducted by space aliens under Rick Perry's command who performed Guardisil experiments on them, would she have repeated that too?
It's possible that this woman doesn't want to be found. Given Bachmann's penchant for makin' shit up, it's just as (if not more) likely that she invented the anecdote out of the thin air between her ears.

"the face of the TP to be more along the lines of Rubio, Johnson, DeMint and less along the lines of "
Yes, the MSM is eager to make Sharron Angle, Christine O'Donneld, Bachmann the face of the Tea Party, when there are others who are much more effective at it, like Johnson, Rubio, etc. The MSM will never make the CBC the face of the democrat party, because it will damage it, but they will never help out the conservative side, as the MSM is part of the liberal base of the democrats anyways.

Part 2:
- Gay marriage stance that jibes with the majority of morons (she's against it because family is foundational and that's the way it's always been). Claims "pray the gay away" is optional at her clinic, but otherwise wouldn't engage on some legitimate arguments in the gay marriage debate. Mostly a pleasant smile and "Yeah, yeah."
- A Sarah Palin run would be fine. She and Michelle are friends.
- We've got a mess in Afghanistan, our men and women in uniform are doing an outstanding job, dodging question of whether we should be in or out.
- Won't name a running mate.
My scorecard: the only two questions I'm interested in are 1 and 3. On the Afghanistan one, she dodged but then scored a hit on the broad side of the barn over there. As for the gay marriage question, I'll give her .25 for what little she did say, even though I disagree with it.

It shouldn't matter if this woman was a Dem operative.
I disagree. I hadn't thought about that possibility until y'all mentioned it. The fact that there's no video or pics or other evidence to back up Bachmann makes it all the more curious to me, in addition to the fact that no one seems to know her and she hasn't come forward. It seems out of character at a gathering of Tea Partiers.
If "The Crying Woman" was indeed a Dem plant, it would be great to find that out. If only we had some people whose job it was to find out about these things and maybe, oh I don't know, had their own TV show so they could inform us about it or something...
Posted by: BackwardsBoy, Tea Party SOB at September 17, 2011 10:42 AM (d0Tfm)
I find it interesting that she thinks this helps her. Romney's never backed down from Romneycare, saying it was a mistake, so its fair to keep attacking on that train of thought. But Perry's heart was in the right place, he admitted a mistake and moved on. So, what is Bachmann thinking that this constant one issue attacks is going to win her points. I used to like her, but this whole thing has made me not trust her. Perry's isn't the main person to beat, its the Messaih. Its ok to attack the repub candidates within the bounds, but when it goes overboard, that repub/conservative side, not a particular candidate, is weakened, because think she's the rule, not the exception.
I just don't understand how she thinks this will help her win votes, it might just be desperation, but she can still have increased clout when the repub primaries end, however the approach she's taken, it will diminish her evne more.

As regards the woman being a dem operative. A lot of folks in that "tea party" audience didn't seem like tea partiers and this was the second time, according to the MSM, that death was cheered. I find it had to believe there wasn't a contingent of dem operatives in that room to lead the cheers for death. I can't imagine the little old ladies of the tea party cheering death in any way. Plus, there were a couple of boos where if it was a favoring audience there may not have been boos. It didn't feel right somehow. If beck had run it I'm sure each person would have been vetted as a legitimate tea partier but wolfie would be sneaky enough to allow a dem in tea party clothing contingent into the room figuring n one would notice.
Michelle, though, doesn't help herself by not being the slick politician that mitt is. he never would have repeated the crying woman story no matter how true it was. Michelle reacted like a woman and mother and she let her compassion rule her thoughts, not necessarily a good quality in a presidential candidate but nonetheless a typical reaction nonetheless. And, if you were a dem operative, wouldn't you just know that Michelle was like this and might repeat the story?

-----------
I guess you missed Palin's attacks on Romney and Perry, in her segments on Fox. .....Palin attacked Romney for not being vocal during the debt ceiling debate, and she accused Perry of 'crony capitalism' a few minutes after the debate last Monday night.
As far as Palin being "valuable nationally stumping for Conservative candidates", that's debatable. ....With her high negatives, she could easily do as much harm as good.

Gardasil is meant to confer immunity against the HPV strains that cause the vast majority of cervical, penile, anal, and vaginal cancers: these HPV types are type 6, 11, 16 and 18.

Yep.
Teenagers base their decision on whether or not to have sex based on the relatively small risk of getting cancer decades later. Long-term rational, non-impulsive thinkers, those teenagers.
Put it this way- how many of those caterwauling about Guardisil do you hear complaining about vaccinations for non-sexually transmitted diseases that have been mandatory for decades?

Can't get too worked up here, MB was never (for me) a viable candidate.
Now, what WOULD be interesting is for Palin to enter. THAT, I submit, would immediately cause everyone to up their game. Like her or no, she could very easily shred either Romney or Perry in a debate.
I'll offer this for what it's worth, admittedly it is anecdotal. During numerous conversations concerning candidates, the consensus was that either Palin or Perry, and emphatically NOT Romney would be preferable. We asked those involved if their preferred candidate wasn't nominated, would they vote for the winner regardless. You can guess that answer, I'm sure. The driving force seems to be ABO.
Anyway, my personal take is that with either of these two, conservatism would be better served than with Romney. And that makes voting either acceptable in this corner.
So you can disagree or disregard this--your choice.

Before I did any research into the vaccine, I was a bit worried about the scattered reports I'd heard of girls having pretty nasty reactions. (No, they weren't having late onset retardation, but they were having some neurological issues) Then I actually investigated the vaccine against all the other vaccines my kids take. They're all pretty equal. In fact, I now feel far more comfortable giving my kids the HPV vaccine than I do about the rotavirus vaccine.
If it's good for anything, this debate has made me look more closely at the vaccine and pushed me into the solidly "pro-vaccination" camp. My kids are too young for it right now, but they'll be getting it when they get within the recommended age group.

Good point. If people are going to use the "we shouldn't give the Gardasil vaccine to young kids because it will only encourage them to become promiscious" reasoning, this same reasoning can be applied to so many other diseases linked to sex. After all, most HIV cases are spread through sex/needle usage - why bother with developing drugs and vaccines against HIV, as all you are going to do is encourage risky sex/drug use?
And it's a stupid thought to think that Garadsil is going to change the sexual habits of teenagers in any way - with all the scary STDs out there, and with the chance of teenage girls becoming pregnant, genital warts and the risk of cancer down the road seem distant compared to all those possible consequences for sex.

I'm not a religious conservative. My daughter received the vaccine.
People act like Bachmann is a lone wolf on this. The fact is her views are shared by a good chunk of the party.
You can disagree with that view but to slander them by saying they want to punish their daughters with cancer is wrong. They don't want that and you know it.
Not getting the vaccine is hardly a death sentence anyway. There are over 2 million girls born every year in the US and only 14,000 total cervical cancer cases. 30% are not caused by HPV. You do the math, vaccine or not, the odds of getting cervical cancer are very, very long.
The vaccine is a good idea in my view. Other people can have different views and not want to kill their daughters.

View held by quite a few religious conservatives
By some, I would say (definitely not me). Research says it is not a cure-all, but more importantly, why are some so intent on the punishment aspect so that they make it sound like they want girls to suffer? I feel that is an improper and unChristian response which also displays naivete about the temptations faced by today's young people.

But it distracts from the point.
If woman doesn't exist, then the issue is Bachmann making stuff up rather than promulgating conspiratorial Jenny McCarthy theories. If she doesn't exist, then you're merely attacking Bachmann, not providing a defense of Perry.
If she does exist, then you've blown your wad and have to deal with the fact that this woman does exist, she's ill-informed and hysterical, she has to explain whatever she meant because Bachmann didn't quote her perfectly and she has her private life ruined because she was stupid enough to talk to a presidential candidate.

She's not doing us Tea Partiers any favors, either. She never should've startet the TP Caucus in Congress. Posted by: arhooley at September 17, 2011 11:27 AM (9fj+q)
Bad example.
There's a not-yet-contradicted (though oft mis-disputed) experiment/paper called "Seat-belt wearing and driving behavior: an instrumented-vehicle study" that shows people drive more riskily when they wear seat belts. The study was commissioned by the gubmint to figure out why even the best-complied-with seat belt law doesn't reduce total fatalities to the same degree that seat belts themselves reduce per-accident fatalities. Short answer: People put 'em on and drive all shitty.
"Risk compensation." It's science. And can be Googled.
Whether the principle applies to junk-wart vaccine...no idea. Who's gonna check? And how? You can't get honest answers on junk-related surveys. In principle, it's (probably) (marginally) whore-in-a-needle. And...so?
This story shouldn't bet be about that stupid shit, but Bachmann screwed it up (just like RAUN POL! says she did), and people enjoy hating her (she's an almost Palin-quality proxy for all kinda hatey shit), so this is what we get.

"Hey did you get that shot? What does it do?"
"I think it keeps you from getting AIDS."
"Really, cool. I heard it's that 5-year birth control medicine."
"That's good to know, 'cause Bobby and I are getting serious."
Ever see "Jaywalking"?
Look, it's thin gruel and really was just meant to give people a latter justification for why they went apeshit over Perry's executive order in the first place. But it's not crazy to want to have a little talk beforehand that it won't protect girls against anything they care about being protected against, like AIDS, syphilis and pregnancy.

I don't think it is. I think the vaccine is a great idea and should be administered as early as possible. I suppose there is risk, but there were extensive studies and it showed almost none, compared to similar treatments.
I think that parents deal with a lot of mandatory crap from the public schools and reacted in a knee-jerk way to yet another mandate, especially one that has to do with childrens' sexuality. They got emotionally involved and when informed about it, like people are want to do, dug in.

Someone with decent judgement would have held off on repeating this story until an aide could verify the details. At the very least, she could have told it differently and couched it in more reserved terms, using words like 'allegedly' and such. A person with her training in law should know better.
It doesn't matter if the story is a complete fabrication or has some truth to it. (A bad reaction to a vaccine could ultimately lead to brain damage, say if it caused temporary asphyxiation and oxygen deprivation but that is a very different thing than directly causing retardation.) The issue is poor judgement on the part of someone who has to know better to qualify for the office. The current office holder has not been a paragon of discretion but that is but one of the reasons we'd like to see him go.
This is same failing that brought down Newt Gingrich. He had a tendency to fall back on his academic persona and talk to the press like they were a group of admiring students hanging between classes. Big mistake. These were people seeking to destroy him and he just never got it.

With the news being peppered with all the allegations of wrong doing in various government agencies, what makes you guys think that the FDA is pristine. People make those kinds of connections. They begin to be concerned about their well being and the actions taken on their behalf. I mean heck, you have to worry about cantaloupe now.
the whole thing with perry is if he issued an executive order that had to be overridden by the legislature in Texas then what is he capable of doing when he is the President of the United States. The entire guardisil issue puts a crimp in his candidacy. We already have someone willing to issue executive orders willy nilly, we don't need the republicans to provide someone else to do it.

I bet she wasn't thinking. She thought she could get in an attack on Perry immediately with it and that's all. And any thought probably considered it a one time thing that she wouldn't have to say again, and not something would bring up again and again and question.

For the most part I liked her voting record, but as a Minnesotan didn't like feeling like I was obligated to defend her every time she said something stupid or flat out false.
Now she's succeeded in making every one of us who's ever made excuses for her (mine was "She means well; everybody misspeaks sometimes, including Obama") look like a gullible fool.
The fact that she was only a House rep with relatively little time in office and no major life accomplishments was enough in itself for me to discount her as a serious contender. I pegged her candidacy as a vanity run from the beginning.

Take skiing. In the 1980s no-one wore helmets, except for kids, but there weren't so many injuries because people paid attention to what they were doing. Nowadays the mountainsides are full of jackasses in their expensive helmets - listening to music in them, quite often - and these idiots plow into other people injuring those other people and, still, getting hurt themselves. (Just not in the head.)
Also, take the laws that are out there to "protect pedestrians". Now you can't drive anywhere because the people who used to look both ways before crossing the street, will jog through crosswalks into 30 mph traffic. What's it to them? They know the driver will get a ticket and pay for their medical costs. Well - yeah - but some years before, they wouldn't need to deal with the insurers and the lawyers, because they knew not to jump out in front of us in the first place.
I'm leaning toward supporting the HPV virus at this stage, if it keeps those with low impulse control - read, stupid people - from breeding. The world has a lot of stupids in it as it stands. And I'm not sold it's so much better a world now, with its seven billions, than it was with just one billion.

In NY when you go to the emergency room and you have an injury that could result at all in tetanus, they give you a tetanus shot right then and there. I have produced my little booklet with all my shots signed by my doctor and the nurse and doctor still say "well, you have to have the tetanus shot, we'd just be more comfortable if you take it". Ignoring the fact that I'd had one in the window of time.

Well, that's fine. It just seems you're a one trick pony. Every time I stumble over one of your comments here or on Hot Air, you're beating the "Palin is unelectable" or "Bachmann is bat shit crazy" drums. Palin isn't even in the race and no one every thought Bachmann had a chance in hell. I didn't. That doesn't mean she can't run and it also shouldn't mean she's immune from criticism, which she isn't. But when your entire act consists of ragging on these women, it makes sense to wonder about your motivations.
And no, I don't automatically assume anyone who criticizes Palin or Bachmann is a misogynist. Or that you're a racist if you attack Barry. I tend to think you're a racist if you don't criticize Barry on anything because of his color...which is what the MSM does on a regular basis.

Posted by: mcat at September 17, 2011 12:24 PM (k1rwm)
What is surprising is that Bachmann continues to state that this particular vaccine induces (or may induce) mental retardation - a charge that is, so far, provably false, not backed up by statistics and maybe not even by anecdote, and borders on scurrilous. She initiated this political battle as a threat to "innocent little girls" and morphed it to crony capitalism in about as broad and dishonest a stroke as possible while maligning Gardasil as a proxy for every "bad" vaccine ever produced. IOW, it's not only bad science by Bachmann, it's bad politics, too.
As I said, Leno was masterful. He approached the counterpoints reasonably and knowledgeably. I don't know how the uninitiated perceived that discussion, but I thought it devastating to Bachmann. She'll need to rehabilitate her argument and walk some stuff back, but I don't think she will. Bad move.

Well, I'm not sure having a tax attorney represent your medical case in court is the way to go, but she could've offered her assistance regardless. A "call my office" type comment at the very least.
I like Bachmann, but I've never thought she was going to get very far in this election. I think people will be very careful about looking for leaders with actual experience in leadership (I hope) after electing King Puttz.

Why do people express such concern about a possible Palin candidacy? If she wants to run, more power to her. I'll listen to what she says just like I've listened to Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, Bachmann, Romney, Perry, and Gingrich. Even Ron Paul deserves a respectful listen. Everyone running for president deserves some respect. If Palin proves herself, she'll get my vote. If she doesn't, she won't. well wiki says she became disillusioned with carter and worked to elect reagan in the 1980 election so i correct myself
A TON of evangelicals supported Carter in 1976. They thought Carter was one of them and they voted for his campaign in record numbers. They turned on Jimmy the Dhimmi when he used the new Department of Education to start ordering private religious schools to kiss government ass. The result was the Moral Majority and a huge exodus to Reagan in 1980.

I've seen tons of people express support for Paul's domestic stuff. He's on shaky ground, very shaky ground, with his foreign policy stance. The problem is, if we don't get the domestic situation under control you can kiss America's presence around the world goodbye. Look what's going on in the South China Sea right now. Where's Puttz? Where's anybody to nip that in the bud? Fucking Vietnam wants America's help. Vietnam! We're going to be so impacitated with debt that it's going to be like the 1930s all over again except this time we'll be the ones sitting back and sedately watching China roll all over the region.
Will I vote for Ron Paul? No. I've heard his schtick for years and most of it won't fly. Even if he got elected he won't get much Congressional support for his proposals. 1. Attempted to to implement a government vaccination mandate for girls for a disease that is not even communicable in a school setting.
2. Used an EO to accomplish #1.
3. Is suspected of being motivated in both 1 & 2 by his connections to Merck.
4. The only reason Perry failed to implement his EO was that the Texas legislature overruled him over his objections. Perry went as far as to say that the legislature had no right to overrule his EO.
5. His so-called admission of error is dishonest in and of itself. He now makes the claim that he realizes it was a mistake to go the EO route, and that instead he should have went to the legislature. He fails to mention that not only did he not go to the legislature, at the time he claimed they had no right to speak on the issue. His relationship with Heather Burcham, which was subsequent to all of his wrongdoing on this issue, looks self-serving in the extreme. He is attempting to get sympathy for his mistakes by claiming his heart was in the right place.
Government has no business forcing vaccinations on anybody. This applies no matter how the mandate is implemented. Yes, someone acting like they are the fucking King of Texas is even worse than if the mandate gets enacted through the legislative process, but it is still something that the government should stay out of.
People who want to get themselves or their children vaccinated should be free to make that decision as they see fit.
Disclaimers:
1. I am not a Bachman fan. Usually, she votes the way that I would want my representative to vote, but I have always gotten an inauthentic vibe from her. I am happy to have her where she is, but I do not think she would make a good POTUS.
2. I have nothing against vaccinations. I just don't want the government making the decision on my behalf. This attitude on my part applies to almost all aspects of my life.

It is not the first time he has been primaried, either-- which is not unusual in the political world. Someone even talked about primarying Jeff Flake this year, and he (Flake) is running for Kyl's seat.

Will Smith, MIB. At least that's the first place I heard it.

Yes! We should all be free to move about the country, spreading whatever we're carrying. It's no ones business but our own. The gov'mnt should stay the hell out of it!

i didnt ask about her fundraising, i asked about her actual accomplishments taht directly effect the lives of our countrymen. fundraising is so tangential to that it means nothing. if she wasnt raising that money someone else would be. she has tried to co-opt the tea party for her own ends.

Again, that's fine. Just don't expect someone to not question your motivations. You want to play Leonidas at Thermopylae against the Palin hordes, that's your business.
It's this absolute terror some people have about Palin --hitting the campaign trail that I don't understand.
--------------------------------------------------
I agree with you here to a large extent. ACE tends to go overboard wrt Palin and Bachman. However, I will give ACE the benefit of the doubt here that he wants to defeat Obama. So maybe his rationale is not to divide the conservative voting block with too many "unelectable" candidates.
All that being said, my problem with ACE 's approach is that it will antagonize more people on our side. Perry is my man now. I am concerned about his performance and electoral chance as any supporter would. Romney 's SS demagoguery is the worst in my opinion. Politics is not bean-bag, but this is liberal demagoguery in a Republican primary. I considered Romney an establishment candidate. So this may be another example of the establishment trying to sabotage Perry (Karl Rove started this train). Given my strong "bias" against the establishment, I was tempted to sit out or just vote for Romney as the lesser of the two evils (no time or money) if Romney is the nominee. If Romney pulls this SS stunt again, he is dead to me in that sense. Rush Limbaugh called Romney out, but he still tried to point out that Romney is much more presidential now and will be vastly better than Obama.
Bachman was stupid here in her attack against Perry. It gave the left an excuse to distract from the grave display of Obama 's stupidity. Palin irked me with her crony capitalism charge against Perry. That 's a valid criticism on her part. But I value her for her charge against Obama and the left. The establishment will bring that out against Perry in any case. It is good now that she directed to the obvious cronyism of Obama regime.
Perry played the race card wrt immigration (not caring about the last name etc...). So I was disappointed in that myself. However, this is one area I can tolerate some pandering to the Hispanics voter. I am trying to be transparent here. I want to dislodge Obama from the WH. So this attack against Perry may actually help him with the Hispanic community in general. I don't expect them to vote for Perry or Rep in droves. But any softening of their support for Obama and the left would be welcoming.

Vaccinations protect against the disease in question, right. So, those who want to be protected can get vaccinated. Those that don't, well, they took the risk for themselves. If someone does pass the disease to them, they can blame themselves for their own decision not to get vaccinated.

1. Not a mandate, had an opt-out,
2. Texas law allows a governor to use an EO to do this type of thing, it allows the legislature to vote against it. system worked.
3. No evidence whatsoever. Every politician would be suspect if this standard applies across the board
4. Once again, the system worked. As for Perry saying the legislature had no right, he disagreed as to the extent of their powers. Happens all the time in govÂ’t. he must have come around since he didnÂ’t challenge it.
5. Well at least his tear eyed woman exists.
disclaimer: i am a perry supporter, financially and otherwise. this gardasil issue is a non-starter. but if y'all continue to hammer it fine w/ me. hurts bachman more by making her look crazy-ass.

isnt bachman's attack on perry a kos style attack?? not that "she started" is a defense. she very likely lied and made up a person and an effect of a vaccine. that type of thing needs to be answered and ridiculed, it has no place in the republican primary.

Do they attack black men?
----------
Are you implying that Perry might be squeamish about going after Obama?
He's already doing that. ...Perry basically called him a "Socialist" in an interview with Mark Halperin this week for Time magazine....Something that Romney and the other candidates have been reluctant to do.

Why don't you explain it to me, genius? And while your at it, make sure to include in your theories the reality that there are no mandates outside of school, and those can be avoided by home schoolers.

354..... With the general vaccine debate, I often wonder what would happen nowadays if there was still a need for forced quarantine.

You mean if there were....for example.....an incoming airline flight carrying a new bio-threat?
We'd be screwed.
Haven't seen that new Movie [Matt Damon, Gweneth P] that just came out, about some sort of raging killer virus....but I would imagine it is pretty sobering. The whole idea of it is scary.

Nope, you are "making shit up". but then again, you are so jealous of me and my life in New York you can't help yourself but attack me at every chance you get. And, to think you have that lavish lifestyle in old arizonia with the kiddies and the hubby and a closet what? ten times the size of my presumed dinky little apartment.
I got into schools just fine thank you, which is more than you can say, dear.
You might want to engage in a little self examination as to why you can't control yourself when it comes to attacking me. More and more to me you sound like a paid perry poster.

1. Step one: Attack all conservatives who aren't Perry.
2. Step two: Ridicule people who aren't as in love with Perry as yourself.
3. ????
4. PROFIT!!!

We started quarantining people here back in the late 1600s. You were
either quarantined in your house or later in a quarantine hospital.
Also, any ships with infectious passengers were detained in the harbor. They did not ask for your permission before taking action.

Perry's heart was in the right place
(shudder)
He's from the government and he's here to help. I really have to doubt his heart.
I truthfully don't like Bachmann or Perry.
It's interesting to watch the Perry partisans act like a bunch of hyenas. Not only by attacking Bachmann's exaggerations to drive the possible competition out of the race, but also by rationalizing Perry's abuse of executive power and possible corruption.
I'm actually open to Perry as the best (electable) Conservative candidate, but his supporters are getting as creepy as the worst of the other candidates'. This is the time to force him to the right, not go easy on him. (I.e., he is an open borders guy, a la Bush.)

The trouble with Gardasil is that it gives a false sense of assurance to a young woman that she can whore around without getting an STD.
View held by quite a few religious conservativesPosted by: Bob from Ohio at September 17, 2011 02:40 PM
I consider myself very socially conservative and fairly "religious" - haven't missed Church on Sunday in YEARS. I practically live at my Church.
I did a quick inquiry to my friends - most of them less conservative than me politically but just as "religious" - and the only problem any one of them had was about the "mandatory" nature of it. When I explained the opt-out they were all like, "why the heck is this even an issue then?"
Just a bit anecdotal evidence but these are Moms VERY involved in every aspect of their daughters' lives.
Just an fyi >

Say Art how long have you been queer?
So we see why some people hate Bachman. But Perry is to be preferred because he believed he had the power to obver ride people's personal healthcare decisions?
Rejoice. If Perry is good, then imagine how wonderful Obamacare will be.
