What kind of hookup plans?

LauraW, you wouldn't happen to be 12 or so, NOT A COP, and in need of a hookup buddy would you?

Send pics. I'll send you some special ones too.

There is a mini meetup of us eastsiders in the Socialist Republic of Seattle area.  If interested, post a comment and we will figure out a way to contact you.

Just trying to avoid the whole group needing to register with the authorities.

26 Enh. I never was a big Ayn Rand fan, and I'm a bit too much of an old-school capital-C conservative to swallow all her doctrines.

Plus I'm starting to find it a bit creepy how movie box-office performance has become some kind of referendum on the ideology of the moviemakers and/or the stars. So I have some kind of patriotic conservative duty to go see Atlas because otherwise the Hollywood liberals have won.

Not buyin' that, and I believe Ayn Rand would approve.

Ooh, it's showing in Duluth.  That's just around the corner from where I work in Alpharetta (north Metro Atlanta).  I think I will catch the noon showing and write all about it and give away the ending.  Yes, that is it, I will spoil the experience for the rest of you by giving away the plot.

Something sweet & happy, for a change.    The baby eagles are faaaat and sassy!   Never watched eagles raise babies, but damn if they aren't smart as hell.   As the babies started to grow enough to move around on their own, the 'rents started making the outside edges of the nest higher, so as not to have one fall out of the nest.    When the dad (could be the mom, who the hell knows)isn't bringing fish, squirrels or rabbits to the nest for feeding, he/she brings a large stick to add to the retaining wall.   The nest is 6' across, about 4' deep, and weighs about 1000 lbs.    It's 80' high in a cottonwood tree.

It is really fascinating to see the interaction between the 'rents, and their babies.    Would that some human parents do as good a job as these eagles in nurturing and caring for their babies.

72 I hope everyone who can get out and support the movie does so: it got good reviews, AND all of us who gripe about the dearth of good American (i.e., non-Leftist) movies (which is, well, just about all of us) have a chance here to vote with our feet and bump up those box office numbers.

Every pro-American movie that does well at the box office increases the chances for similar movies waiting in the queue. So even if you're not nuts for Ayn Rand, I hope you'll consider going anyway.
