— andy Haven't seen hide nor hair of the head Ewok today. OWS presents such a target-rich environment for hobos that he may be overwhelmed.
Here are a couple of interesting GOP 2012 presidential race tidbits:
Michele Bachmann paid New Hampshire staffers quit en masse
... Michele Bachmann's entire paid campaign team - roughly a half-dozen staffers - in New Hampshire has quit out of frustration with the campaign.
That's gonna leave a mark.
@THEHermanCain "if you're at or below the poverty level, your plan isn't 999, it's 909."
Rumors are the Rick Perry will counter with a plan called "five-five-five dollar footlong."
So now what are we talking about?

Maybe that's why she was wearing that military uniform in the last debate. Trying to marshall her forces.
I don't understand how she and Santorum are still in the race anyway. They're don't really have any money. However, as long as there are free debates they will probably stick around.
The sooner they drop out the better.

How do you exempt people from the sales tax? Does every merchant have to do an income verification on every transaction? Or say they get an exemption card. How do you stop me from bringing my down and out friend along every time I go shopping, so I can get 9% off every purchase? And of course I'll cut him in on the action.
If you allow some people to be exempt, pretty soon everyone will be exempt one way or the other. And there goes your brave new tax plan down the drain.

Assuming it's the sales tax he's talking about (dunno) they claim it's done with a "prebate." Which, best I can understand, is code for "government hand out."
But he could be talking about the income tax, there.

Wasn't there something about rebates, Tom? The more scrutiny 9-9-9 gets, the more and more complex and ridiculous it is.
The point-- or so I thought-- was a simple, easy to remember, easy to implement system with no loopholes to exploit, the theory being that the mind-numbingness of the Byzantine tax code we now have hinders growth to a large extent.
Each time it's tweaked (or more details come out, whichever) to be "more fair" or whatever, it loses a piece of that charm. Now it looks like crap.
How much of our GDP is eaten up by income tax compliance and enforcement? That's a whole industry that basically pruduces nothing of value. Streamline it so anyone can do their taxes in thrity minutes or less, and we should get a lot of growth, and thus more (or at least equal) revenue, even at lower rates.
Each loophole, exemption, and credit is there to benefit someone and the end result benefits no one-- except those who don't pay anything.

Yeah, pretty much. Reagan was hammered, even by conservatives, during his own term.
We want an ideologically pure intellectual with vast governing experience who is down to earth and wins every debate and every interview. He also must have a perfect homelife and have no scandal that even the MSM can invent.
Yeah...
Also, a lot of the people who bash one candidate are promoting their own. So, be cynical.

So he isn't going to leave the 3,000 he stupidly said he would.
Needless to say, he is doing the exact opposite that I would do, I would get them out of Afgan since there is no reasonable chance of society there (leave now, bomb later), but keep them in Iraq. His preferred muzzie brotherhood must be strong enough to win the coming civil war now.

A couple cans of Vienna Sausages, Saltine Crackers, Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies, and some Miller Lite.
The gelatinized fat from the Vienna Sausages is kind of gross though.

Isn't it beyond obvious now that it has been Obama's goal to further an islamic capiphte? Remember that he did absolutely nothing to support the secular uprising in Iran, while he's actively supported the downfall of secular dictators in other arab countries. Also remember that his first offical telephone call after becoming president was to Abbas. He may or may not be a muslim himself, but he is definitely assisting them to further their goals.

re: Lord of the Flies
If you listen to the Occupiers you'll hear how proud they are of what they "built."
They believe that they built a city and formed a new government. They fancy themselves part pioneer and part Pilgrim.
They have their own rules, laws. They discovered a new way of doing things.
Of course they built nothing. They are nothing more than squatters on already-groomed public land. They are not self-sufficient in the least.
And in Boston, they run across the street to use the public train station's rest room facilities.

Cain reminds me of all the Corporate CEOs out there who get pressured to 'come up with a plan'....who look to their young thumbsucker MBAs to come up with 'a plan'.
Then they launch said 'plan'....and spend time hawking it and selling it. Then when people start pointing out the problems with 'the plan', they start coming up with 'fixes for the plan'. .....And before long, 'the plan' ends up being worse that the policy that it was intended to replace.
How many times have you gone to the store and looked for that favorite shampoo or other product....only to find that it had been replaced by something "New & Improved" that ended up being not-as-good as the old product?
This is the result of the sort of 'corporate thinking' that we are seeing coming out of Herman Cain.

I'm thinking that it's fatigue. You know how I was saying that the "base" was bouncing around between candidates, and not giving anybody a mulligan? I'm thinking they've bounced between candidates so much that they've hit the point where they're worn out, and don't want to think about it any more. Cain benefits because he was the last on the list.

White Castles are fricken delicious.
They're basically liver-and-onion burgers. Throw some bacon bits and cheddar cheese, or jalapeno cheese and you have yourself the very food of the gods.
It is also a very efficient meal. They come out even faster than they go in, especially if you drunk off your ass when you ate them, and I am pretty sure they violate Einstein's local speed limit.

Last week was as bad as I have seen since pre-Iowa Huck-Romney battle of 08. After Florida/Super Tuesday it will be much more subdued among ourselves. With no VP in 08 and no clear frontrunner now is why so turbulent.
About the left, they all agree on about everything which is why a technicality like "drivers licenses for illegals" was their big throw down argument between Hillary and Obama. Outside of the "victim trump card" which they fight over like jackals, they all agree we "rabble" are the problem and they must control us and take our money even more then they do now.
For us there was a glorious 2 months in 08 when Hillary supporters were screeching about their newly discovered run in with media bias and the Obama people were screeching "OMG will Clintons really say and do anything to get power.".. except for that utopian eye of the storm... yes its messier over here because we debate the big questions.

Ohio looks like it may split its primary election because of a redistricting scuffle with the Democrats. Apparently, the later date for the presidential primary will now make Ohio a winner take all state. If Anyone But Romney can survive till June, Ohio becomes our last best hope:
Ohio voters would cast ballots for local, state and U.S. Senate races in March, but the 2012 presidential and U.S. House primaries would be moved to June 12 under a bill that passed the Senate yesterday. It is slated for a quick House vote today — unless a deal on a new congressional map is reached.
The new primary would change how Republican presidential delegates are selected. Under national GOP rules, holding the primary in March required the Ohio contest to be proportional, meaning a Republican White House hopeful could win delegates without carrying the state. But when the Ohio GOP submitted its delegate plan last month, it contained a clause reverting to winner-take-all if the primary is shifted later than April 1.

Think of the bigger picture. It's not about the election; other than Obama sees that he may not have 4 more years in power. Obama has a mission to accomplish, and you don't have to be Tom Clancy to see it.

According to Ten Letters, a new book by Washington Post reporter Eli Saslow, President Obama has on more than one occasion has "cut personal checks to struggling Americans who've written to the White House," the Huffington Post reports.
He's a liar, based on his charitable giving track-record, or an idiot for not working through an organized non-profit.
BTW, are his relatives still living the slums? Why not take care of them first if he's so eager to write checks?
