— Dave in Texas Can't understand that at all. It was going so well.
By cutting off applications, the administration will avoid the bursts of attention each time it granted a new batch. Opponents of the law contended that the administration had shown favoritism in granting the waivers, prompting federal health officials to disclose the names of recipients and the application process for granting them.
A thousand Dem cronies are gonna be scrambling now, to apply for the special love.
That seems a bit inconsistent with the stated goal of helping companies who would be adversely affected by complying with the amazing and wonderful new Obamacare 4Ever Plan. It's generally a bad idea to change the rules in the middle of the game, creating uncertainty and panic. But it is a good idea if you're lookin to duck all this unwanted attention and scrutiny.

Because not calling attention to it in 2012 is just like never doing it.
Uh huh.

Let me see if I get Obamacare correct:
You're a bit harsh there, Mallamutt. I'm sure the Secretary of Health and Human Services will administer this law fairly and consistently. Perhaps a special undersecretary position has been created to oversee this revolutionary, transformative program.
(It's not like they're going to use the IRS to oversee compliance.)

In the future, Obamacare waivers will be assigned on the basis of political contributions to the Democratic Party and Obama's 2012 re-election campaign.

When will you unwashed understand we members of the intelligentsia are entitled to waivers if we've performed selfless acts of oral stimulation on the Black Mamba.
I've honked that snake on more than one occasion, and this act of presidential deference makes me a member in good standing of the Presidential Commission for Jobs Creation and other phony-baloney governmental money wasting diversions.

Remember, the JEF is not a statesman, or even a politician in the ordinary sense of the word. He's a Chicago political thug: his sole consideration is what increases the wealth and power of himself, his cronies, and his party. If you bear that fact in mind, then the Obama Administration makes perfect sense.

This is going to only accelerate job losses. I know a small business owner, they have 53 employees, he's planning on applying for a waiver. For those who don't know, if any company has over 50 employees, they have to strictly adhere to the DeathCare laws. under 50, you are excempt.
This man will be firing 4 employees sometime before the end of the year (he doesn't want to, but has no choice), the amount in increase to his healthcare costs for 53 employees cannot be offset by the amount of business he is doing, that amount has decreased substantially, so its more sustainable for his company to have 49 employees, to barely keep pace with the rest of the competitors, and guess what? so will a whole lot of other employers, they too will be doing the same thing. The fraud has now built in unemployment into America with this POS legislation.
To this WH, small businesses, private businesses seem to be the enemy. Big corporatations are like beauracracies, like the govt itself, they can hire lobbyists, they can hires lawyers, CPAs, etc. Most of the small businesses do do have this, they do much of this work themselves.
And the fraud wonders why no one will hire, they step on the throat of the small private employers of America, and then are surprised why its suffocating.
This latest news will only accelerate firings and layoffs.

I got a waiver for military service, or whatever they called it back then. If it was good enough for me to avoid active duty, it's good enough for our democrat friends in unions and business.

That was steps 1 and 2.
Step 3 is promise new donors that they will get their wavers in 2013.

Stopping the program won't stop the lawsuits about it. If anything, this is further evidence that huh, maybe there was no authority to hand them out in the first place.
Posted by: alexthechick at June 18, 2011 09:21 AM
It should escalate lawsuits from parties that want waivers and can't make the (totally arbitrary) deadline. Unfair treatment under the law.

I've said that here several times and was met with out and out laughter. His ego, in my opinion, simply cannot tolerate a loss. He would prefer to leave and say I accomplished everything I had hoped in only four years.
Remember W's inauguration? Remember how Billy Jeff stood around, acting like it was his proudest moment. He didn't behave like someone who had to leave office, but like someone who have generously and magnanimously stepped down and bestowed the honor upon another.
Look for lots of proud-chin moments ahead.
