I would love Obama to say this kind of bullshit to my dad, who spent forty years as an independent flooring installer and depended on his pick-up truck for his livelihood.

He's down in NJ right now, visiting family, and I talked to him on the phone the other day.  I asked what the gas prices were like there and he said (at teh time) it was about $3.49/gallon.  "What about in NH?" he asked.

"When I gassed up this morning, it was $3.57."

"You're kidding.  Where?"

"The Irving station across from where I work."

"G*ddammit."

"Yep."

It is a sad, sad day when NH's gas prices are worse than New Jersey's, and almost as bad as my sister's in Pennsylvania.

Yeah, OR and NJ pay less for gas than we do, and they pump it for you.  I'm paying 3.89/gallon here in the Seattle area.  Disgusting.
