Have any of you 'rons and 'ronettes watched Tucker and Dale vs. Evil? Hilarious movie if you haven't.  Essentially it's about a couple of hillbillies (one of whom is played by the truly awesome Alan Tudyk) who get mistaken for psycho killers by a bunch of college kids who are out camping in the woods for the weekend.  The kids think the hillbillies have kidnapped their friend (they haven't), and they launch an all-out offensive to try and get her back.  Most of their attempts backfire in spectacular fashion, leading to them killing themselves in new and exciting ways while Dale and Tucker try to figure out what the HELL is going on.

Now, I don't advocate violence.  But if you're itching to punch an idiot college student in the face but don't want to get arrested, I would recommend watching this movie.  I found it very therapeutic this weekend while trying to overcome my rage at these OWS idiots. 

I mean, I realize you shouldn't feel satisfaction when Tucker tells Dale, "Some kid... he just... hucked himself right into the woodchipper!"  But darn it, if I were a smoker I would have wanted a cigarette.

However, I readntoday on Weasel Zipper that they plan to be here next weekend. We do have a university, but the populace is mainly made up of miners and lumberjacks! The article said that the organizers plan to use a controversial mine to enlist the citizens in their cause. That is actually smart, as everybody up here is angry about this mine (to mine nickel for cadmium batteries for electric cars) being foisted upon us. Pretty ironic that the electric car is the item they have chosen! I have only seen 2 electric cars up here as we get really low temperatures and lots of snow, somt hey are impractical. Therefore, having a major portion of our rugged and beautiful land scarred by a mine that threatens our water supply also is a hot button. It will be interesting. sorry about the typos. I read a Forbes article early yesterday morning that was based on the premise (still!) of Obama as a Constitutional scholar lecturer at U.Chicago. When it was announced that he was coming, nobody knew why. However, when he came, he tried to make it seem that because of him we had the Internet!!! That, plus the fact that he was extremely stand offish and unfriendly to the residents, left a bad impression. The SS agents were great, but Obama was a dud. In fairness, he picked a day when it was -11, but people were waiting to meet him, and he did not even speak to them. So, not being friendy and trying to portray us as backward people with no Internet service, did not go over well!

The days I spent at the Occupy Wall Street action in the park were harrowing to say the least. The racism is rampant. 112 It came to me in a dream:  The way to defuse the media coverage of these "gatherings" is to infiltrate them with signs that LOOK like their sentiments, but say things like "Obama = crony capitalism!  We are the 99%"; "Obama is the 1%!" etc...  After a few of those show up on the TV, the MFM will get new marching orders to stop covering them.  Once that happens, and the babies aren't getting attention for their tantrums anymore,  the "movement" will collapse under it's own weight.
