— Ace Oh she's a genius.
I realize that there's a lot of semantic arguing over whether a president "creates jobs." Whenever I say that, I get corrected. Okay: The president is supposed to foster a favorable environment in which private actors may create jobs.
But the Democrats really do believe politicians -- at least Democratic ones -- actually create jobs.
But not anymore. Because, in order to deflect away from the Democrats' atrocious record on job creation, now asserts that the public does not vote for presidents or politicians to create jobs.
Nope. Her claim is that politicians are put into office to "work together."
So that's where the DNC head's spin is at now: Unable to actually do anything of positive substance, she endeavors to shift the debate to "at least we're willing to compromise and work together," which is a strictly proceduralist concern (who gives a fig if politicians are fighting if things are going well?) and furthermore, of course, is entirely untrue to begin with.
"First of all, Eric, I won."
More: Jammie Wearing Fool finds more. This may not just be an idiot's warbling; it might be the coordinated warbling of many idiots.
Because (same link) he finds Michelle Obama making the same damn claim:
First lady Michelle Obama addressed a DNC fundraiser at a private residence in D.C. Tuesday night, emphasizing the importance of working together during difficult economic times.

She's half-right, of course. I don't vote for a President to "create jobs." I vote for the President I think is least likely to interfere with me and my family. The fact that also creates jobs is just a really nice bonus.

Problem with that is that even the Media isn't carrying that water right now. I've seen a few major media outlets point out that the Senate is Democrat Controlled, and that's where the Jobs bill failed.
This is no longer "spin" or "messaging." It's full-on, Baghdad-Bob lying.

Average folks who don't want to be bothered by politics might think, oh of course people should work together, progress is when we're all pushing the cart in the same direction, or some such nonsense.
Except that when the dems were completely in charge, they had the US House, a filibuster proof majority in the US Senate, and the Presidency, and they didn't work together with republicans at all. Everything the dems did was based on democrat priorities, and it is because of all those bad decisions in 2009 and 2010 that we find ourselves economically boned today.
Geez, where's zombie Lee Atwater when you need him to make that point?

Gandhi, Gandhi today is, with respect to all of you, Gandhi today is a tumor that the ruling class is using constantly to mislead us. French Revolution made fundamental transformation. But it was bloody.
India, the result of Gandhi, is 600 million people living in maximum poverty.
So, ultimately, the bourgeoisie wonÂ’t go without violent means. Revolution! Yes, revolution that is led by the working class.
Long live revolution! Long live socialism!
Gandhi was lucky in who his opponents were, but unlike the French, he actually gave the Indians a chance at a free society. The French Revolution gave the French people the Directorate, an Emperor, two decades of war, and finally the return of the old order. In short, it accomplished NOTHING.

Yeah, working together.

The honey makes people feel good...about Obama. And the poison is to make people hate those who oppose Obama.

Not a check- cash. It wouldn't even have to be 2 million dollars. 50,000 would be sufficient. Hand it to one of them, go back in the house, and have your heavily armed security guards shoot anyone who tries to get in.

96 also Lerner of SEIU, is asking for protesters to go to the HOMES of the wealthy.
All those union bosses are quite wealthy themselves. Jimmy Hoffa used to boast about his wealth, when he would speak to crowds of truck drivers he would show off his expensive watch, expensive suit, and fancy shoes.
Hoffa said that his union brethern were HAPPY to see that a truck driver just like them could get rich.
