Oh My: Prosser... Up?
— Ace

This could be my last chance to post it.
I'm taking it.

At Gateway Pundit.

Update/Cautionary Note: This is from a blog called WisPolitics. I usually am very skeptical of factual reporting on blogs. So, caution.

Update: JSOnline confirms.

Prosser's up -- at the moment.

But if you think our tallies can change... hoo boy, can theirs!

...

Winnebago County returns posted by the clerkÂ’s office give Justice David Prosser 244 more votes there than JoAnne Kloppenburg compared to the results The Associated Press tallied.

Flaming Honey Badger thanks to Johnny, hat tip to Ben for sending it to me.

Correction: I initially misread and miswrote this concerns two counties. It's just one, Winnebago.

25 A recount in [the Wisconsin Supreme Court] race... seems inevitable, and it is not clear who will ultimately take the seat on the Wisconsin bench. But if this expensive and nasty race ends up in protracted litigation, it could undermine public confidence in both the judiciary and Wisconsin’s electoral process, especially if, as I expect, supporters of Kloppenburg raise ugly allegations of voter fraud.... While the fraud allegations [in various recent elections] remain stuck in the public’s mind, no proof of any systemic fraud has been unearthed. Instead, close examination of elections show, time and again, that our election systems are not perfect – but this is due to human error and not fraud....

f the Wisconsin Supreme Court race goes into extra innings, I expect things to become especially contentious and partisan.

96 Honestly? I don't give a shit.

Posted by: Honey Badger at April 07, 2011 11:51 AM (Q1lie)

97 Strategically you have to have allies to win a war.  I am nearly convinced Republicans should unite with the unions.  Buy them off if you have to, in the end I believe they will more then pay for themselves several times over.  Obviously setup principled barriers to their collective power.   Teachers, Janitors, DOD guys, etc.. Most of them are blue collar conservatives who work hard and aren't paid that awesome.   You take out public unions you basically take the engine out of the democrat machine.  The democrats would collapse as a movement think of how much good economically, culturally, etc.. would come from that!

I also think Unions need a reformation into a worker protection group instead of this monolithic idiot giant cow/leech they are now.

-drop seniority based promotions
-enable firing of poor performers but with some type of 1-4 months severance etc.
-basic legal protection in cases of dispute
-There are a lot of  common sense issues basic worker protection issues they should be focused on.

Make them like that and Unions wont have to fear collapse without mandatory dues because people will happily pay a few bucks a month they see as basic insurance.  Insurance covers you if you are hit or have an accident not if you light your car on fire and then demand a check for it.

Oh, Bullshit.  Just kill the damned things already.  An institution that is not inherently conservative will inevitably become liberal.  What, pray tell, is "conservative" about forcing my employees to join an organization that takes money out of their paychecks to buy the election of the guys who decide how much to pay them and to tax me?

It is nothing more than corruption, and I would rather not rely on our ability to co-opt it.

210 This reminds me of the county judge race we had here last November (a county judge is sort of like a county executive.  It was the most ridiculous spectacle as the incumbent lost and won several times over before being declared the winner.  It was like a contest between him and his challenger to see who could steal the election more shamelessly.

Not that I'm making a character judgement about Prosser or Klovenhoof (I know this county judge to be a scumbag) but I wouldn't be surprised if positions change repeatedly beforea winner is declared.

212 More reportage on fraud:

On an estimated more than 10,000 ballots in Dane County, Wisconsin, where the state capital Madison is, voters selected only a pick in the Supreme Court race, while leaving even the hotly contested mayoral and county executive choices blank. That raises red flags for election experts like Scott St. Clair of the Freedom Foundation, a conservative think tank.

So 10,000 people went to the polls _just_ to vote for Kloppy or Prosser? It's tough to vote from the grave, that's why only one mark.

they dont take well to micromanagement or threats, but love incentive and mutual benefit. If they are your friends they will die for you. If not, they will kill you. pretty simple, really.

Have a (truly turrible) TV show idea.   An ensemble cast, sorta like Golden Girls meets Designing Women meets Threes Company meets Ugly Betty.

Starring: JoAnne Kloppen3bagger, Andrea Dworkin, Rosa Delauro, Denise "Dead Sister's Teeth" Slaughter, Botox Pelosi, Janet Reno, Janet Napolitano, Madeline Albright, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Barbara Streisand

Recurring guest appearances by Shrillary Clinton, Michelle "stretchy pants" Obama, Cloward & Piven, and Grand Dame Helen Thomas.

Sell ad time to the makeup and plastic surgery industries.

A sure-fire winner.

Even I, a "B" student at a third tier college who had to take the Stats class 3 times to get a passing grade, find this arrangement of outcomes...highly improbable.  As in not random.  As in a population of errors that does not fit under a bell shaped curve.  Ah, yes, skewed is the word, I believe.

From National Review:

After Tuesday nightÂ’s Wisconsin Supreme Court election, a computer error in heavily Republican Waukesha County failed to send election results for the entire City of Brookfield to the Associated Press. The error, revealed today, would give incumbent Supreme Court Justice David Prosser a net 7,381 votes against his challenger, attorney Joanne Kloppenburg. On Wednesday, Kloppenburg declared victory after the AP reported she finished the election with a 204-vote lead, out of nearly 1.5 million votes cast.

Books CLOSED. that's what they DON'T want. Because they're CHEATING I'm not a whiner; I lived in Philadelphia for fifteen years.
