The only cuts we HAVe heard about are from the military. Closing loopholes is another way to avoid going after items 1-3: SS Medicare and Medicaid. And yes you are right in that these are tax increases. The problem is NOT that the poor federal government has been starved. it is being consumed and transformed.

Obama can't win an argument because he's never actually had to make an argument in his entire life ...  he was always surrounded by yes men/women who didn't need convincing ...

He simply doesn't have the skills to moderate his words to appeal to the other side ...  he never has ...

25 billion in fiscal year 2012 cuts...now does that seem even close to worth it? After all of this, THAT'S what we get? Because, make no mistake, all of the rest of it is total BS. There will be no additional 1 trillion in cuts 10 years from now. There will be nothing grand that comes from this committee, as there never is from any of these committees. They will have to bring proof of voting record and agree to a 40 hour course in "how to think and act conservative".

Voting for Boehner's plan means you're voting to increase the debt limit, since it says you will raise the debt ceiling around $1T (until April) if he does x, y, and z.
