Their Canadian, go figure. Methinks it all has to do with the cost/price. A stout requires a whole lot more malt and barley than does a Bud to make. Shoosh, the Bud recipe was invented during WWII due to rationing. They replaced barley with rice. Personally I hate Bud and always have. Too foamy. Originally, when there were two beers in the world, I was a Schiltz drinker. Most of my friends were Bud drinkers. I also like Oly and Hamms, but don't see them round much anymore. Today I am very happy with a Sam Adams.
