— Open Blogger Ah yeah! Saturday night is here and it's time for another ONT. I got a ton of stuff so let's just get it on!
First up, this squirrel seems to have caught the disco fevah. A few decades too late but hey, you never know when it'll come back.

Mr. Weiner just tweeted he's jealous. Weiner, weiner.
Speaking of Weiner, here's an updated video summary of this sordid saga.
Saturday PSA, Disco Style
Interesting PSA from the American Heart Association starring Ken Jeong. I'm not sure Disco can save lives but those ladies sure can.
Who is this masked bandit?
Now I know why Chemjeff was late to the ONT last night. Nice running shoes. So chemjeff, what did the coppers want?

Those crazy youths.
I don't know which is worse. This story about ten friends that decided upon graduation from high school to get fitting jigsaw puzzle tattoos (can't tell if they'll fit from the photos)....

OR
This story about extreme body manipulation in Japan where youngins have saline solution injected into their faces to make them look like vampires or somethin.
.jpg)
I'm thinkin' story 2 is worse. I hope that crap stays in Japan.
Cosmetic Firearms?

I have no idea why one would want one of these instead of the real thing but hey, to each their own. Here we have a Dutch Jewelry Designer starting something called cosmetic firearms. I'll let the description speak for itself but for the amount of money you are spending, you could buy a whole lot of real firepower and ammo to boot!
These guns which bear strikingly close resemblance to real weapons are actually functional storages for personal belongings and beauty accessories. They have been made in two varieties; Dior 001 (white) and the Chanel 001(black), which has items dedicated to these fashion brands. The Dior 001, priced at around $11,500, has a Dior lip gloss, antique hairpin, 18 carat gold toothpick, a vile of perfume, a 50 gram 24 carat gold bar, a USB stick and a Viagra pill. On the other hand, the black Channel 001 has similar accessories from the brand but is priced higher at $17,000 apiece. For creating these fashion firearms, the designs were initially produced on the 3D printer, to get a detailed view of the structure, before being retrofitted with hand-crafted 18 carat gold components. In case the various accessories in the guns run out, NotenÂ’s studio is place to go for the refills. However, storage remains a responsibility of the customer, who might want a special holster or carrying case for these devices.
Obligatory Caturday Story/Video
Ah, it is Caturday isn't. Here's a little story about Dusty the Cat Burglar aka The Klepto Cat. You know CA is goin' down the crapper when even the kittehs are stealin'!
The Cereal Killer
This is a great short little action film titled The Cereal Killer.
Strange Animal Adaptations
Here's a list of 6 Seriously Strange Animal Adaptations.
The male anglerfish is drastically smaller than the female and he does not have a glowing lure on his head and many are so stunted that they canÂ’t eat at all, which means he has to find a female ASAP if he wants to survive. So the male quickly finds a female, bites down on her side and releases an enzyme that dissolves the skin of his mouth and a little of her body so the two can fuse together. Slowly the male atrophies until all that is left of him is a pair of gonads which release sperm whenever the femaleÂ’s hormones announce that eggs are being released. Scientists have found some anglerfish females with as many as 8 pairs of male gonads attached to their side.

Serena Williams Plays The Race Card.
Serena Williams plays the race card. Sports reporter takes it hook, line and sinker. So she's bitchin' about the French Open champion playing on Centre Court while she had to play at Court 2. Big deal. Serena hasn't played much this year and was only ranked #7 for the tournament. Na Li is ranked #3 and had more buzz about her match. Quit bitchin' and just play. BTW, it was a nice pile on with the reporter with his jibberish of how the rich, racist, snobby Brits run Wimbledon. You'd think a reporter would actually dig a little more into how they actually pick the one woman's match of the day on Centre Court but then if he had, it wouldn't have fit the racist meme he was pushing.
The 10 Most Secure Locations.
The 10 Most Secure Locations On The Planet. Fort Knox is super, duper secure since we can't even have an audit done there.
A commercial with a horror twist.
Here's a commercial I would've never thought I would see. Rob Zombie directing a Woolite commercial.
Jessica Rabbit?

Obligatory War Pron Vid
Now a lot of you picked the A-10 as your plane of choice. In honor of that, I present to you a short video of what an A-10 can do.
OK, OK, here's another kitteh for ya!

JR has made several lists of top cartoon Femme Fatales; her popularity is unquestionable. There's even a part in an unedited version of Who Framed Rodger Rabbit where she flashed the audience. Srsly.
In the first NES game Who Framed Rodger Rabbit (made by that God-awful LJN - "Laughing Joke n' Numbnuts), when you first meet JR, the game gives you a phone number. At first, people thought you'd have to use the number in-game at a telephone somewhere. However, you were actually supposed to call the number IRL to get game tips. If you look this up on YouTube, several people have tried this number over the past few years and it calls some pron hotline.

Yes, it is impregnable, unless you're Goldfinger.
2. Cheyenne Mountain
Better than Fort Knox, but ultimately bad because this is where Skynet is. John Conner's Tech-Com forces will pay heavily in the future breaching this place and shutting down the "machine god" for good.

I think we should do the pick'em the same as last year. 3 leagues each, 50 teams per league, 300 total morons. I don't think that will be a problem.
However, I'm not sure how you want to work the betting for the regular FF league

Isn't that the one where the Norks take over the US ala Red Dawn?
Yeah, the story line is insanely stupid, but that's the least of the problems with the game.
The two biggest issues are this. You're player is almost always fighting into the sun. You know how when you're driving to the east early in the morning and the suns glare makes it hard to see? Well you're playing with tha for almos the entire game.
The other issue? It takes like an hour to beat. It's only 3-4 levels long.

Yes. Even many of the action scenes were boring and incoherent.
A lot of the problems Transformers 2 had were probably due to Michael Bay not only directing the movie but also writing major portions of it (during the 2008 Writer's Strike). I don't have much hope for the 3rd movie, although there may be a glimmer of a chance it might not suck completely as Megan Fox is out and MB didn't write most of this movie.
Megan Fox...you had such a chance to make it really big if you had even a modicum of talent and common sense. Given her current film fare though, it's safe to say her 15 minutes have long expired.

The statists view 2012 as make or break. So do we.
The mainstream media perceive that their survival is tied to Obama and have willingly become an arm of the Democrat party.
The internet comprises a parallel news propagation system that increasingly supplants the mainstream media and limits its influence.
In the next 16 months, various plays will be made to limit and manage the content of the internet

Report: Hezbollah moves missiles from Syria to Lebanon, fearing fall of Assad regime http://bit.ly/jTLgkf
First way - this will weaken Hezbollah as they cannot as fully rely on Syrian support.
Second way - more of Hezbollah's quasi-advanced toys are away from the more saner Syrian command-and-control networks and into the hands of a man (Hassan Nasrallah) who may have an outlook on life similar to Ahmedinejad's. That is, if you destroy Israel and cause world-wide chaos, the Madhi will come.

You caught the rotation perfectly and it continues tomorrow with Miller. Should be an easy sweep against a team that can't pitch, can't hit with runners in scoring position and when Dustin Pedroia lets a ball roll between the wickets you know it's bad.
The Pirates are on a winning streak and the Red Sox could easily lose all nine games on the inter-league trip, after being beaten soundly by San Diego at home. That would be 11 consecutive losses for the grossly over-hyped BoSox.

Prepare for a visit from the police if the parents of the girl on the other end discover them.
And, I echo what Y-not, said, take away the phone and have him do some research about the laws regarding "sexting."
Also, if proscecuted and found guily of a crime, he will have to be labelled a sex offender for the rest of his life. One of my friends, her son's best friend had that happen to him (over playing "doctor" when he was a teenager with another boy and the other parents pressed charges) anyway, he committed suicide at 26 because he couldn't get jobs and had to register every time he moved, it runied his life--one stupid, inappropriate action as a teenager.

We really need for the legal system to catch up with sexting.
It seems insane to me that some teenager taking a picture of themself naked is automatically a child pronographer.
It's a stupid thing to do, clearly, but by making some kid a "sex offender" for something like that is ridiculous.

Ok, so let's see if I get this.
The government raises the cost of entry level labor directly through raising the minimum wage. Then they indirectly raise it with a boatload of taxes and regulation. Then they kill the ability of businesses to borrow money by taking so much of the available capital and pissing it away on subsidized mortgages for deadbeats.
And the problem is that we aren't spending money on a "jobs program".

Indeed. I've heard that too.
the title Sex Offender and the Sex Offender registry is the closest thing our society has to a Scarlet Letter, we should be very careful not to misuse it.
As noted above, it can ruins lives and even lead to suicide when misapplied.
There are enough scum bags out there who have earned the title, we don't need to lump in with them some kids who acted stupidly or some idiot who couldn't prevent nature's call while in public.

That there is the problem. It's her job to parent, not "friend" and sometimes parents have to do things that make their kids resent them.
Being a parent these days sucks in a lot of ways because of the actions of other parents.
Also, parents need to get off the GODDAMN cell phones themselves sometimes. (pet peeve of mine)

Seriously, Falling Skies hits all of the lazy leftist writers' Bullet Points of Suckitude.
Our Intrepid Hero, second-in-command of a resistance company, is a Cambridge professor. His nemesis is his CO, a stubborn, arrogant career Army officer. Fortunately, Our Intrepid Hero is beloved by his Burger King Kid's Club squad (a black, an Asian, a spunky blonde and a 13-year-old squirt).
The alien enemy appears only briefly in a couple of fights - the biggest conflict is with a group of rapin' redneck racists. And because we can't possibly care about fighting for the survival of the human race, OIH has a son being held captive by the aliens and whose rescue is the focal point of the show.
In other words, it's like The Walking Dead, with aliens instead of zombies.

I assume since you know it was the neighbors that the cops have arrested those involved?
OK, here's where it gets even crappier, despite finding all the possessions in the neighbor's house, the neighbors are not yet arrested, they are just "persons of interest" in the theft. I mean when I say they robbed the man, they systematically, over a period of days stripped the house of everything--including appliances, china, family heirlooms. They oh so "thoughtfully" covered the dead man with a blanket first though.

I have neighbors across the street who love to party, also, and I expect them to start setting off fireworks here any day now, anywhere from 2 weeks before the 4th to about 2 weeks afterward. Fireworks aren't really legal here, but so far the city I live in hasn't hassled anyone for setting them off.

If you are still here, slap the kid silly and take away his phone. No money means no access. If that doesn't work, report his looser ass to the police. Make the case, and make it stick. He's a minor with no priors, so he should get good and scared and not end up with a permanent record.
Kids are basically actions without thought, so put him on some thinking.

Posted by: Oldsailor's poet at June 26, 2011 01:09 AM (NtTkA)
A little place in the Pennsylvania mountains called Lake Nuangola. Mostly bottom fished with nightcrawlers or jigged them. I've caught some nice fish on lures but I'm basically a live bait man. Plus, a hell of a lot of my best lures are now antiques, so they don't see the water anymore.Posted by: Ed Anger at June 25, 2011 09:25 PM (7+pP9)
OK, I'm not really following the Casey Anthony trial, but here's what I don't understand, if as the defense claims, the girl drowned in the swimming pool, then why was her body found in the foods 6 months later? So, the mom freaked and dumbed the kid's body when she found her drowned? The grandparents did? I mean, what reasonable human being would fish out a drowned child, put the corpse in the trunk of a car, drive it to the woods, and drump it? And then act like nothing had happened?
I don't get criminals. At all.

Here's my theory. The mother is as dumb as a bag of rocks useless party girl who couldn't give two sh*ts about her kid. The grandparents, or one of them, in a fit of anger over their stupid useless daughter and being stuck with a young child to raise, kill the little girl. Instead of copping to the crime, they stash the body and pin it on the mother.
Perfect crime.

Nice pair of 45s in the video montage for Long Cool Woman by the Hollies. Love the base line in that song. Lyrics are moron level quality as well.

Yeah verily. Class in the morning and more tired than usual with the increasing summer heat.
Still, we had a nice spring. Cooler weather lasted longer than usual.
I think we hit 113 tomorrow ... if the meteors remained unsummoned ...

I accept advise from either of them. I have an extensive collection of Heinlein works, but obviously I don't have it all memorized.

I'm not feeling to well today. Been up all night puking.
Two news items and maybe later.
Bachmann closing in on Romney in Iowa poll
Pelosi DEMANDS seat at debt limit negotiations table.
This is the same scrunt that held the Obamacare meeting behind closed doors with all Republicans locked out.
Posted by: Vic at June 26, 2011 03:10 AM (M9Ie6)
Vic, I'm not feeling my usual self either. I screwed up my back two weeks ago and I now have sciatica. I haven't had a good nights' sleep in quite a while, which is why I was up at this dreadful hour.
And yeah, Pelosi's got some nerve demanding a seat at the debt limit table when she bears a great deal of reponsibility for our current economic crisis.
On the other hand, did you see Renee Ellmers slap Timmy Geithners' pee pee in that hearing the other day?
Posted by: BackwardsBoy at June 26, 2011 03:25 AM (d0Tfm)
There's also another vid of a newly minted representative in a hearing. Give me a couple of minutes and I'll link them here.
Posted by: BackwardsBoy at June 26, 2011 03:35 AM (d0Tfm)
These two vids from last week are, IMO, the very beginnings of the tide turning in Washington. I was thinking about posting these over at my place tomorrow, but I might do something on that story about the intentional flooding in the midwest and the anti-Christ George Soros' connection. Seems like he's scooping up our farmland in what looks like a deliberate attempt to become a big player in our food supply.
If true, this will not bode well for us. Soros hates us and wishes nothing more than to be the man that brings us down. With his puppet in the White House, he has all he needs to do it.
Posted by: BackwardsBoy at June 26, 2011 03:45 AM (d0Tfm)
What bothers me about that vid, and every time a Democrat opens their mouth about the need for increased taxes to clear out the "unsustainable deficit" is nobody, including the Republicans, brings up the fat that they put those 1.4T deficits in place in 2009. All we need to do is go back to budget levels of 2007/2008. The claim that cutting spending will kill education is farcical. She should have called him on that.
Also note the plug of "Bush tax cuts for the wealthy". He is simply a worthless lying asshole. But he is a Democrat so that makes it normal.

Listen to that moron. Tells us our spending in unsustainable and we need tax increases then when she asks him what are we going to do about jobs he says we need to "invest" in infrastructure and education. In other words, more spending. How do these people get so fuck'n stupid?

Embalm? Hell, it looks like they can't even diagnose anyone properly.
Sorry, y'all, but I'm starting to nod off. A nap is trying to overtake me, and I think I'll let it. Only slept an hour before I was awakened with leg pain, and that was about two hours ago. Two pain pills and a cup of coffee later, I think I can get a couple of hours of shuteye.
Have a gig today. It's a benefit for a very good friend of mine who's in a hospice. He's terminal and we're raising money for his bills.
He's the drummer in this video. Please say a prayer for him.
The best night I ever had playing music was with him.
