68 Those shoes can also be used as a deadly weapon, guys and girlz.

HOUSTON –  A Houston woman was convicted of murder Tuesday for fatally stabbing her boyfriend with the 5½-inch stiletto heel of her shoe, hitting him at least 25 times in the face.

The verdict was delivered yesterday. So it is obvious that we should have shoe control, with IDs and background checks before purchasing.

86 Apparently Bob Costas has recently been to Pago Pago, American Samoa, and shut down all the schools with a pink eye outbreak plague.

I like the rumor that his Olympian pink eye was from a botched botox injection. That's what you get, Bob, for getting injected in Russia! They probably used the yellow water.

My theory is his contacts had a Russian amoeba... and he contaminated them with the yellow water, which then burrowed into his eyes. Or he had his head somewhere it was not supposed to be (maybe on the donated pillows...and if you don't think that the thought of donated pillows does not give this girl the heebie-jeebies. Yes, children, I travel with my own pillow, midget sized memory foam that squishes in my bag... but it is mine, all mine. No pink eye for me! Or cooties. Soon to be Bavarian cooties stressing me out).

That reminds me of an old joke.

A guy is in the men's room at a basketball game taking a piss when Wilt Chamberlin steps up to the urinal next to him and starts to pee.  Wilt being as tall as he is, the man can't help but look to see how big he is. Needless to say, he is impressed.

"I'm sorry to bother you," the man starts. "But just how did you get such a large dick?"

Wilt looks at the man a little suspiciously, but then says "Every night I get home, I smack it against the bed post 100 times."

"Hmmm. Okay. Thanks." replies the man.

Later that night when he gets home after the game, he finds that his wife didn't wait up for him and is fast asleep. Thinking he has nothing to lose, he pulls out it penis and starts wacking it against the bed post.

His wife stirs from sleep and says, "That you Wilt?"

90 Hey horde. Crazy day. I actually put in an application to teach theology at an exurban high school today. We'll see if anything comes of it. I figure since my field has achieved epistemic closure at the university level anyway, if I really want to affect moral formation, this might just be the best option. Which means I won't get it . But I'm financial getting calls back about shifty retail work, so things are looking less down.

Not a chance that one will be abused for revenue. Nuh uh, no way. Posted by: ManWithNoParty at April 09, 2014 11:17 PM (ojnk6) Nice way of enforcing imminent domain on somebody who just won't sell for what the government says is fair market value.

Beckons you, to enter his web of balls! Balls to the wall! Golden balls he will put to your ear, But his balls can't disguise what you fear! 341 "just found out that the City bordering mine in GA (Kennesaw), has voted in a statute that states that you can be charged up to 7x current property tax rates if your property is judged to be 'blighted'."

Not sure about Georgia, but here in Commiefornia, several municipalities enacted laws that they were using to clear out and shut down known crack houses and shooting galleries.

There was an adverse state court decision of some sort which put an end to that.

So "anti-blight" laws got rung up instead. Easier to make stick than a charge of running a drug den. And, since junkies and crackheads aren't typically much for housekeeping, blight turned out to be a convenient way to oust them.

On the other hand, I have known plenty of upstanding solid citizens who were too elderly to maintain their property, or likewise because of ill health, or poor finances, or who had eccentric tastes, whose homes and yards would have been instantly red-tagged for blight.

It's kind of a long saga....went to NC, got cough, cough fought CPAP machine to a draw every night, leaving my throat as a churned-up battlefield every morning, freaked some of the regulars with the phrase "coughing-up blood" (of which, there is bright-red irritated throat/esophagus/windpipe [annoying, not serious] and dark blood embedded in mucus [can be very serious indeed] flavors)....besides that, it's mostly wear-and-tear.

If someone is doing something wrong on PUBLIC land, the proper way to deal with it is to ask a judge for an injunction, and let the offender explain to a judge why he can ignore court orders.

The Govt case is horsecrap. Charging a man to use his land is crazy.

517 This is the problem with deficit spending. The Feds become starved for every dollar. And they will come and get it, one way or the other. From all of us. After all, they have none without us. A reasonable government living within its means does not need to do this.

518 Thanks so much Gushka! My 16-year-old cat suddenly developed a weird thing with his toes. The inside toe of each front foot is a little misshapen -- kinda looks like the fur is mashed flat so his toes don't form a rounded foot like they used to. (Boy, am I finding this hard to explain!) For a few days, he seemed to be grooming his face more gingerly than usual, but that's better now. He uses his scratching post a little less vigorously than usual as well. Also, he has been making very exaggerated scraping noises with his tongue after eating or bathing. Don't know if that is related, but it started at the same time.

519 There is no reason for a ranger or a blm person to be armed Um, they go places where things (bear, cougar) still consider us dinner. So yeah they should be armed. But there is no fucking reason for them to have paramilitary units. What the fuck else can you call deployed sniper teams?

534 I am having trouble understanding how anyone has the nerve to tell someone to vacate their own premises. **** My next door neighbor had lost his job and decided to stay in one night and skip his evening with his girlfriend. He texted her "I'm sick of this shit" and she went to the cops and said she thought he might hurt himself. That night cops show up at my door wanting to know whether I had seen him that day. I said that I hadn't, but that I hadn't been home. I told them that I had seen him the day prior to which the girlfriend said that she had too. The police asked me whether he usually parks his car in the garage, and I responded that he does. Next thing I know, my street is lined with cops, a firetruck, and an ambulance. I thought he had died. No. His girlfriend and the cops called his parents, who own the home, and asked them to come and unlock the house, which they did, in a panic, of course. They open the door, find him passed out in his own bed, shine a light in his face and order him out of bed. He was shit-faced drunk and had no idea what was going on, which was a good thing because had he not been he would have pulled his gun and fired on the intruders who entered his home at midnight. He was forced to go, by ambulance, to a psychiatric ward for evaluation. An hour later he was released but had his gun taken away and has to jump through hoops to get it back. He's no longer with the girlfriend.

562 Houses are a depreciating asset these days. If you are income neutral without the rents, convert to metal now. Physical metal, not soon-to-be-worthless GLD or SLV paper. Silver is particularly undervalued now. Mining ratio for silver-gold is 16 to 1, but at the moment pricing is almost 50 to 1. This is being caused by severe market manipulation by JP Morgan, the "caretakers" of the SLV paper market ... they issue far more paper silver futures than they have actual metal.

568 Mindy, I had three cats at once when I was a teenager. My favorite was a white cat with one blue eye & one green. He was polite, he would let the other cats & dog eat first. Frosty washed the other cats all the time. He was second oldest male & last was female. Oldest died & Frosty continued to wash other cat. Frosty lost some teeth & started to drool all over himself. I used to give him bath w/baby shampoo in kitchen sink. He sat through it so he could be clean & would sit on my lap every time afterwards, . He probably had a cancer of his stomach & we had to put him asleep. I had four cats & none will ever live up to that little white kitten we got him from a neighbor & couldn't think of a name for weeks. He was a gentleman, for a cat.

570 And the district ranger would issue them a bolt action rifle if there was a bear or cougar problem in the area I'm guessing you've never been in the back country & been stalked by something that you didn't know was there, but made your lab's fur stand on end from her nose to the tip of her tail & produce the most menacing growl I ever heard from her. I didnt even know the fur on her snout & tail would do that. Yeah, asking what was probably a mountain lion to just hang on and wait where it was for someone to go into town for a rifle isn't really an option.

Posted by: Carol at April 10, 2014 12:50 AM (gjOCp)

My white cat, Mo what plays Fetch! is also a gentleman. He has two blue eyes and is a defective hairless cat. his coat is all undercoat and softer than bunny fur. Its like pure white chinchilla. he is so polite and gentle and never is forward, if he wants a treat he will sit down and cheep at you with the sweetest voice, like he is telling you how good he is. Grimmy will give him a treat. he is also really tolerant and lets Grimmy hold him up and "fly" him around the house putting his paws stretched out in front of him, making Big Hands and his head up looking so pleased to be taller than everyone for a bit. Then he gets another treat.

he never needs a treat to play fetch, tho. he just likes to do it and will wake me in the night dropping his ball on me asking for me to throw it. It is the only even slightly naughty thing he does.

i do that too. I have about five wild barn cats i have tamed and my dead friends cat who i inherited.  The inherited Black and white longhaired cat is awesome and beautiful and always teaches the wild ones to hunt even though she is old as dirt. She lived on a ranch in Nevada, without shelter aside from the hay bales, but she looks like a showcat.

595 Mero, I'm still here & missed you! I'm going to doctor I saw 3-4?years ago & his injections fixed arm & shoulder pain for almost 3 years tomorrow. I look back at ONTs that I have fallen asleep during. Are you taking anything for your heart now? Pills do work differently on people. I used to have Barbie like body & went to gym & did aerobics every day & some days did two classes & or weight machines in between. Once my neck was ruined, my then doctor told me it was out of the question. I went from 108 to less than 90 lbs. My doctors thought I needed psych consult & I went to shut them up. I saw a nice man @ Mass General & he asked me why I was trembling. I told him I was nervous. I only had to let him look art MRI & he said pain pills made me hyper. My point is you have to see a wise older doctor that can pinpoint your problems. All my regular doctors couldn't see what caused weight loss. Now, how do we find you one?

596 More potential good news, this time on 404Care:

KATY, TEXAS--A lawsuit filed by a Houston area doctor against the Affordable Care Act is moving forward to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.  The lawsuit filed by Dr. Steven Hotze, founder of Hotze Health and Wellness Center in Katy, challenges the Obamacare law based upon the origination clause of the Constitution.

In referring to what is known as The Origination Clause, “Article 1, section 7 of the U.S. Constitution every tax bill, revenue bill has to start in the House of Representatives,” Hotze explained. “It can’t start in the Senate.”

I don't even think it was a House spending bill.  I thought that was one of the court challenges to the law.  That the Senate can usually get away with stripping a spending bill and inserting their own spending bill, but Obamacare wasn't originally a spending bill.

626 I'm always amazed that politicians all talk about "loopholes" the same way. You see, "loopholes" are gaps in a code or law. Most of these "So-Called" loopholes are written right into the tax code. They aren't "loopholes", at all. They are direct legislation, (voted upon within legislatures, to tilt unearned funds to interest groups), based upon your local, well-funded lobbyists.

A mexican horsebreaker running him around to exhaustion and throwing him to the ground (sometimes hogtied) always without a proper cool down would do it.  i had suspicions, but when we got started, they solidified when they threw sandbags on the saddle to work him in hand with weight on his back to strengthen it, and he LOST HIS GODDAMN MIND. Went to bucking like he had really practiced and got good at it. Pitched the sandbags right out of the corral. Then bucked the shoes off his feet and cut himself up in the meantime. well he never bucked with me and had been broken in by a seventy five year old woman about as big as carol (90 lbs soaking wet, built like a porcelain doll) Since i have pix of us RIDING him i was quite frustrated. so hes been off sorta off and on for three years and now hes a bronco?

684 Beef has already risen to 100%+ over the past ten years. A $6.00 Porterhouse is now over twelve dollars. Ground Beef has a way of competing with the market, (70-85% fat), but your "cuts" aren't as "acrobatic". That was just plain "deflation + inflation"... stagflation. Adding on swine diseases decreases the volume. The Market Math pervades from there.

One of the judges, Harry Connick Jr., got up out of his chair, went into the audience, picked up a petite 13-year-old groupie girl and put her on his shoulders, wrapping her legs around his neck and pressing her 13-year-old you-know-what in short-short hot pants against the back of his head. Then he sat back down in his chair with her still wrapped around him. It was borderline pornographic, and bizarre, and probably illegal -- he'd be in jail now if he wasn't a celebrity who had done it on live TV.

742 Mero I got a blank page after I used Carol. I've been awake for an hour & using iPad & Mercury browser to access links & I will try again from Mac laptop. I went from January 2005 until June 2009 w/o orthopedic doctor. My hands started to hurt from neck in 2008 & I started seeing doctor a friend recommend for them. In June 2009 after months of getting dizzy from neck pain I saw doctor for my neck in same practice on same day. I was rear ended by an idiot from NH, she hit me so hard with her ( parents) 1995 Saab it looked totaled. My old 1995 BMW looked okay until body shop removed bumper. She did a lot of damage to me.i didn't get MRI on neck I was supposed to a few days later & ended up on my couch for a week. I went to a different doctor at same practice in 2010 . That one took x-Ray of neck &?they cancelled someone else's MRI to get me in . I told them I had to work the next day & after MRI they called to ask me if I could walk & overreacted. I asked them to give report to the doctor I had seen a year before & he told me to try another type of injection. It didn't help &!when I called a month or so later he told me to see doctor I saw in late 2010 & it helped me.

743 "My point is you have to see a wise older doctor that can pinpoint your problems."

My wise doctor turned out not to be a doctor at but a Nurse Practitioner. Three doctors had no clue what was wrong with me but the APN nailed it on the first visit with her.

Credentials matter not. Knowledge does.

Morning, anyone.  Man, the ONT was made for me - tall girls and high heels.  Wish I'd known about it.

**sips tea**

Guess I'll just wait for Teh Vic.

745 That is very true GMB. People can have all those Ivy League degrees & still be idiots, see SCOAMF as most prominent example now. I started seeing NP in August 2005 for my meds & she understood that my orthopedic doctor & I went through all meds to find mix that can relieve most pain & go to work. Before her I had some idiots that overmedicated me with pain patch that I was supposed to wear for three days. I went to work & I wasn't at a level that I could function.

748 Attention, Hollywood: NO MORE SCHWARTZENHEIMER, ok?
The bastard son of a nazi signs california's suicide note "California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006" and pardons the knife-murdering son of his political crony on his way out of office. Fuck you, Hollywood. NO MORE GAWDDAMN ARNIE. I'm stayin' out of the theatre, guys, got it?

749 I don't know what kind of router, keyboard, and remote mouse thingy Mrs. E bought the last time, but I just poured a Smithwick's in them and they are still up and running. I judge them suitable for deployment.
