Paul Krugman, Sociopath
— Ace

That was a Newsbusters headline about the 9/11 shame piece.

I'm stealing it.

Paul Krugman, demented liar.

Paul Krugman, malignant dwarf.

Paul Krugman is literally willing to contradict any accepted fact in his field -- and even repudiate all of his old writings -- in order to get a single cheap anti-Republican column out.

There is quite literally nothing he will not lower his already quite-low self to claim. He believes that scholarship is a weakness, and admires what he sees as the dishonest but effective ruthlessness of the GOP; he's adopted what he believes are our tactics. He thinks scholars are nebbishes (okay, most are), and so has decided to re-make himself as a fire-spewing Internet Tough Guy Ignoramus.

Okay. He got part of that done. He is an ignoramus. At least he's profoundly ignorant about what he himself has written in the past.

Woody Allen should pull the younger Paul Krugman out from behind a wall to lecture the older Paul Krugman: "You know nothing of my work..."

But as they say, beware of seeking out monsters to fight, else you become a monster yourself.

In Krugman's case, this would be a stunted sort of monster, like a goblin or some other 1/2 hit die pest. Not the big, puffed-up scary sort of monster he imagines himself to be as he dashes off one deranged, dementia-addled screed after another.

Highbrow Truther: College Politico has an interesting take on Krugman-- he calls him a "Highbrow Truther." By which he means that Krugman, while not endorsing the factual claims made by Truthers (which would cause him too much professional embarrassment), nevertheless seems to hint around the edges of a massive conspiracy, just not (necessarily) one with government demolition teams.

P-shop by JohnnyE.

College Politico has an interesting take on Krugman-- he calls him a "Highbrow Truther." By which he means that Krugman, while not endorsing the factual claims made by Truthers (which would cause him too much professional embarrassment), nevertheless seems to hint around the edges of a massive conspiracy, just not (necessarily) one with government demolition teams.

Hi, I'm Paul Krugman. I'm a sneaky little weasel. That character trait extends to the contempt and malice that I possess for people who dare disagree with me. therefore, I skirt about making accusations I have no hope in Hell of proving, not unlike some maladjusted 7th grade bitch in the back of remedial English. Like government conspiracies.

And when I'm not doing that, I cheer on changes that will make our world a better place. like giving more power to government agenicies, including those that would have been in on the conspiracy that I bitchwhispered about.

I suppose I neglected to mention at the beginning that I'm also an idiot.

Krugboy is yet another one of those people who are forced upon us by our betters in the media, much like Anna Nicole Smith, Casey Anthony, whatever Cher's kid is this week, and a whole bunch more. Their every jot and titter is supposed to be important to the society, or something.

Absolutely nothing they say or do has any impact on my life in any way. They are typically far less intelligent than the average Moron and have very little of depth to say about any subject.

This phenomenon is the main reason why I only watch sports, Fringe, and Firefly reruns on TV. I get my information almost exclusively from teh Interwebs: at least I have a fighting chance against having these "celebrities" shoved down my throat all the time.

I get my information almost exclusively from teh Interwebs: at least I have a fighting chance against having these "celebrities" shoved down my throat all the time. You'll be far more informed than by watching TV. You can use the tubes to focus on the important stuff. But you will miss out on so many important things by skipping NPR and PBS. Like the plight of Albanian lesbian dancers or the crisis of culinary traditions when Somalian and Ethiopian bakers clash. Brings to mind something very OT, another of those "big" "news stories" the MFM runs, this time in the LA Times (although it had much wider coverage). Remember a year or so ago there was a flurry of libtard/ecotard handwringing over honeybees? "The honeybees are dying! They will disappear eleventy!!!" Well, honey is everywhere in stores, and hasn't become scarce or expensive. Another example of a manufactured crisis.

134 I can only imagine what he'd have made of the first decade of the 21st century.

The same sort of thing he made of the beginning of the 20th.

Northeastern bio-status-anxiety hasn't changed (much), so neither would Lovecraft's stories. The rustic threat in Lovecraft 2000 would be just like all the other dysgenic/degenerated wrong-kind-of-white-people villains and monsters in horror movies nowadays, the cat might be called Cracker-Man, Innsmouth would be a fishing town in Alaska, etc.

We have enough of that already, I think.

4E sucks. It is a prime example of identifying problems then doing the exact opposite of what you say you want to do to fix them.

Pathfinder simply isn't worth the effort to convert all my 3E material from. Whatever it managed to correct it balanced by needlessly overcomplicating something else. And of course the combination of hard Left politics and love of "adult themes" verging on wallowing in torture porn of the company has made continuing to support it impossible.

Greyhawk will live forever, at least the stuff I wrote for it will. (And my LG stuff is completely awesome of course.) Of course to play it properly you need to use the alignment system and related spells the way Gygax wrote them, but that's easy enough to do for us old timers.

Krugman is exhibit A:  exercise in self hatred.   He's wrong. He knows he's wrong. He hates the fact that reality proves him wrong. He lashes out at those who see reality for what it is, since that interferes with his fantasy.

He's playing at creating his own reality, and bitching when it doesn't work out for him. Basically he's a feminist woman.

He's like a frog that changed its sex due to population disparity. Maureen Dowd I sort of get. Disgusting but I get it.

Krugman, well, he's the end of civilization if he represents a majority of males in the West. Seriously. No self respecting woman would ever lay down with that guy.  He simply isn't a man.
