— Genghis Survived? Or caused?
LetÂ’s examine the apocalyptic facts
”STOCKHOLM (AP) - Honeymoons aren't always easy for newlyweds, but six natural disasters. When Stefan and Erika Svanstrom of Stockholm set out on their 4-month-long honeymoon with their baby girl, ‘Damienette,’ on Dec. 6, they say they got more than they bargained for: Immediately they were stranded in Munich, Germany, due to one of Europe's worst snowstorms, he said. But that was just the beginning.”
Just the beginning indeedÂ…
(Note: The child’s actual name wasn’t provided in the article so a random substitute is being used on this post. –ed)
After leaving most of Western Europe a frozen and desolate wasteland, the familyÂ’s dark itinerary took them to Australia, which received a triple helping of despair:
”After that, he said, they experienced the devastation of a cyclone in Cairns, Australia, and the flooding in Brisbane, and narrowly escaped the bush fires in Perth.”
“Narrowly escaped.” Yes, let’s go with that. Or was it because they already had designs on their next target:
”Just before they arrived in New Zealand, the 6.3-magnitude earthquake hit Christchurch.”
Christchurch. Doubtful it was on their primary hit list. But, the name and all, you see. Irresistible. And since they were in the neighborhood why not do a structure hit before heading off toÂ…
”…Tokyo, they felt Japan's largest temblor since records began, he said "The trembling was horrible and we saw roof tiles fly off the buildings. It was like the buildings were swaying back and forth," said Svanstrom, who also said he survived the devastating tsunami that hit southeast Asia in 2004.”
There it is again. To the fine folks at AP: This word “survived” you keep using? I do not think it means what you think it means. Or was he merely testing the proverbial waters? The couple sounds threatening optimistic about the future:
”For newlyweds "we've certainly experienced more than our fair share of catastrophes in a marriage, but the most important thing is that we're still going strong," he said.”
ThatÂ’s good to hear. CanÂ’t wait to hear what their travel plans are for this year.

Four months for a honeymoon? Rich troublemakers, spreading a swath of Scandi destruction everywhere they roam!

If what the guy says is true then they really are a walking, talking Apocalypse. Either that, or someone is prevaricating about the bush.

This make-up of Budget really reinforces the differences between the fiscal conservatives and the liberals. A majority of the Republican side is comprised of fiscal conservatives who actually understand economics and can make arguments against the squawking from the Democrats. They don't shout or use stereotypes; they present facts and well-reasoned arguments. So right now they're discussing the fact that increases in education spending have not translated to positive results, as contrasted with the Dems' emotional arguments about children not getting their school books.

Donald Trump sent Nancy Pelosi warm wishes when she was sworn in as House Speaker in January 2007, praising her as "the best" in a personal note.
Trump, who’s now mulling a Republican run for president, penned the note on a copy of a New York Times article that chronicled Pelosi's swearing-in, and wrote, "Nancy — you're the best. Congrats. Donald," according to sources familiar with the missive.
This is some sort of "straight" line isn't it ?

where are you listening? It is frightening how divergent their views actually are. The dems aren't dumb so I keep thinking they have information that the republicans don't have. I mean it's a simple argument, very easy to understand and they are almost deliberate in their lack of understanding so then you have to think "what do they know that we don't know (we being the republicans) that would so alter their thinking in this way?

Wished for response:
1.We're referring to the budget of the US, not merely Whatshername-Schultz
2. The time for vague attacks on defense spending is long past. The Dems need to compose a budget that can actually be scored on its own merits, and which does not include bribes, follow up bills (doctor fix fee restoration) or dodgy accounting.
3. A good starting point would be an explanation as to why the Dem budget is over six months late.

The way the mark-up works is that the Dems are allotted 9-10min to offer their amendments, then Chairman Ryan either asks if there is any Republican to respond or he responds himself. After that, they do the yeas and nays, then take a vote. Almost all of them are 22-16 no, which means that both sides are entrenched and voting for their respective side.
/Only been listening for a short time and I've only heard one Republican response which was slightly weak.

What about ...
Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies!
Rivers and seas boiling!
Forty years of darkness!
Earthquakes, volcanoesÂ…
The dead rising from the grave!
Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together.

ok, I've had enough. I have contributed here for quite a while. I have always linked. I have, on occasion, tried to tell you what is going on among my friends, most of whom are lib dems cause I feel otherwise many of you are living in your own little conservative/republican bubbles. maybe I'll go back to my old site. Thanks to all of you for all your kindnesses this past year.
