SCOAMF: The Buck Stops Over There
— andy

Moron in darkest England S. Weasel does some of the best Photoshops on the entire Interwebz. Like this one, for instance:

It seems tailor-made for this story: Obama accuses Congress of holding back U.S. recovery

A vacationing U.S. President Barack Obama accused Congress on Saturday of holding back the U.S. economic recovery by blocking "common sense" measures he said would create jobs and help growth.

I'd have sworn this was from The Onion, but RD's link in the sidebar clarified that right upfront.

Sir Golfsalot, from his vacation digs there in swanky Martha's Vineyard, calls out Congress for not enacting his detailed plan to spur the economy? No, really. This is beyond parody.

But it's pretty transparent, isn't it? After getting nowhere blaming inanimate objects like corporate jets, ATMs and Japanese earthquakes, little Barack looked around for someone with a worse approval rating than his and settled on "Congress." So you can expect to see much, much more of this tripe in the coming months.

As Ace has pointed out frequently, though, nobody votes for "Congress." They only vote for their individual congressmen. So good luck with the Alinsky tactics there, Barry.

Run against Congress all you want, but everybody knows you're a stuttering clusterfuck of a miserable failure. Since we all can't live in Paul Ryan's district, "congress sucks" isn't exactly a newsflash to most of us, you preening jackass. From right here in MA-4, home of Barney Frank, I enthusiastically agree and look forward to giving both of you the boot in 2012.

Consider this an open thread. I just liked that S. Weasel 'shop and wanted to share it. And be sure to visit her blog.

Revoltingly stupid, incomprehensibly plotted and edited, and overflowing with the kind of quasi-erotic torture porn (seemingly pulled wholesale out of a serial killerÂ’s wet dreams) thatÂ’s become a staple of both fantasy literature and Hollywood films this century. Easily one of the worst films IÂ’ve seen during decades of painfully slumming through mediocre genre fare

70 While running down all leads for the Best Appeal to Deus Ex Machina Award story ("ET no like carbon") like a speeding Hummer smooshing small furry things over Georgia backroads on a rainy night ... where am I? Anywho, one of the weighty references cited by the three dorm room philosophers was The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement and they have a website - www.vhemt.org! Prominently displayed on its home page is this statement:   "Phasing out the human race by voluntarily ceasing to breed will allow Earth’s biosphere to return to good health. Crowded conditions and resource shortages will improve as we become less dense." Two things: (1) I seriously doubt the extinctionists saw, much less appreciated, the irony in their statement's last four words, and (2) given free rein, I have no doubt the proponents of this movement would drop all pretense of their movement being "voluntary".

72 national journal, ambinder and condon: No more will the president be focusing primarily on issues that can attract bipartisan support and appeal to a Republican House. And no longer will he be so willing to let Congress work out the details on its own. So, Dick Soetero admits she has never worked out any details? Is this news? She always said she had "plans;" were they merely a couple of chicken scratches and a smiley face? Furthermore, she's discarding pursuit of bipartisan ideas? Yet just a day or two ago she lectured us about how ideology and partisanship prevented progress. Ambinder and Condon have joined Dick's ranks... all of them, stuttering clusterfucks of miserable failure.

75 I had a thought about how Perry, conservatives and the Tea Party should respond to accusations of racism:

When your brother is going into debt you should tell him.
When it looks like your brother is doing the wrong thing, you should tell him.
When you think that your brothers assumptions and his actions based upon those assumptions are wrong, you should tell him.
When what your brother is doing isn't working, you should tell him.
When your brother won't learn, won't do home work, won't do school, you should make him.
When your brother won't work, and demands that you feed him, you should set limits. And if it comes to that, let your brother starve.  Should you be his slave?
Do you love your brother enough to tell him when he has been wrong?

And if we are going to be a family, you have to play fair.  The rules are the same for everybody

91 No. 92 is Exhibit Z for why we need to raise the minimum voting age, post haste. When you factor in young Obamabots and Paulbots and reflexive malcontents it's quite literally the worst generation ever produced. They should be stripped of voting privileges until they turn 35 or until they're gainfully employed and out of their parents' abode, whichever event occurs last. In any event, Obama's nonsensical blame games suggest the internal polling even is worse than we'd figure. I suspect he's already 7-10 points behind Perry and roughly the same distance behind Romney. Look for the Dems to get even more ugly in the months to come.

100 Ha Ha! I was thinking about this yesterday. I was wondering if the White House press Corp., also known as obamas fan club, was ever going to ask him where the buck stops. I recall them asking President George W. Bush that question all time, obviously for partison political reasons. But no one in the liberal media has bothered to ask obama that question while he blames everything and everyone else for his failed policies.

101 A vacationing U.S. President Barack Obama accused Congress on Saturday of holding back the U.S. economic recovery by blocking "common sense" measures he said would create jobs and help growth. Yes, "Common Sense" ideas SO obvious, it took Obama 3 years to decide to propose them... NEXT month.

103 Ref the Chris Christie sidebar... CC can say Global Warming is happening. He can say itÂ’s caused by man. But unless he says we should spend hundreds of billions of dollars to DO something about it, it doesnÂ’t matter! Look at the first paragraph of the quoted story In vetoing a bill (S2946) that would have required New Jersey to stay in a regional program intended to curb greenhouse gases... That doesnÂ’t seem like the actions of a man whoÂ’s concerned about Global Warming.

Click and lern THE TRUTH!!!!

KayInMaine says: August 20, 2011 at 9:08 AM the attack was orchestrated through Glenn Beck & NAZI Netanyahu, because Glenn Beck started his radio program the day of this attack with the story and screaming, “Why is the media not talking about this!!!”, implying that he’s the only one who cares about the Jews to garner sympathy for a government that commits atrocities against the brown Palestinians (occupying THEIR land!) while being backed by Wall Builders which is owned by anti-Semites!

The Egyptians are not happy with Israel right now and if they retaliate, who will be blamed? Well, the Egyptians of course! Just like American republicans, the Israeli government can never take the blame and will make sure everyone else is to blame. See? *spit!*

Obama loves Martha's Vineyard sooooo much he has mandated Section 8 public housing for over three thousand units!   Serves all those leftwingnut moonbats right.  Now they get to have all those gangsters from Philly beautify the place.

Go Obama.  Now set up some public housing in Hollywood and in the Main Line, maybe Grosse Point.

108 My father had the same trait of blaming everything and everyone else for, well, anything. It was amazing, the variety, complexity and sheer tonnage of excuses he could spool off ! Yet never content with however he'd already blamed something away, he was always tinkering with and trotting out some new and shinier scenario of exculpation. The only manner in which he would ever take any responsibility for the crapfest he made of our family life was by claiming that he was Too Good to Us, and we didn't know how to be properly grateful so we lashed out and made our lives miserable. By the way, he was eventually diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

110 95, 98 102 and Andy Andy -- fair 'nuff, your blog. However, I don't have a way to link, it is original writing and I don't maintain an online presence because of my visible business profile. Want to throw some Ideas in the fray but can't blog because of public profile and massive time constraints. 102 -- beer and shot would be good. No plan though if I think I know what you imply -- too much to lose (see below) 95 -- approaching 50, voted for McCain, Reagan before it was cool, both Bushes every time, Dole. Pretty conventional. Satisfied with Perry or Romney given circumstances. 98 -- good idea but I have three kids, wife, uber full time job, plus volunteer coach, etc. -- blogging ain't gonna happen. 102 -- very senior high-profile exec in my industry, steady as a rock, no threat, not crazy. Wouldn't be so wound up if I didn't have kids. Terribly worried where this all ends up for them. Ivy degrees in history and engineering, the history is what makes me so passionate about calling this direction like I see it. Yes, in my view, the truth sounds crazy and radical, but in reality it is not. Terrible things can still happen. I am not going to start them, but that doesn't mean I can't fret on behalf of my kids and other good people. A drink helps but I am hoping for a trajectory change. I can't change much so I will have to chill eventually -- just in a funk over all the unnecessary carnage.
