— Dave in Texas Somebody smarter than me can splain this I'll bet.
As a condition for GOP support of the payroll tax measure, Obama has to accept a provision that forces him to decide within 60 days whether to approve or reject a proposed a Canada-to-Texas oil pipeline that promises thousands of jobs.
Seems like a punt to me... not really a win, just postponing.
So anyway, there's a game tonight, get a pick in.

Go Cowboys.

Its pretty simple... the Repubs are once more playing politics... which is all they do.
They will force Obama to reject the pipeline, looking for an issue for the next campaign... instead of just forcing the F'n pipeline so it can be built.
They, as are many here, are more interested in scoring political points instead of doing what is really needed to Fix stuff...

The bill also borrows money from China to fund abortions around the globe. Can't all those "developing" nations (that eco-fascists want to keep from being allowed to develop...) get their baby-killing money directly from China?

The omnibus appropriates money which will go towards funding abortions. As for the payroll tax holiday bill, Reid suddenly and deliberately changed the voting order, so they received the score while they were voting.

Well, if things have slowed down, letÂ’s see whatÂ’s in the Rambler Family Chronicles for this date.
In 1903, Rambler cousins Orville and Wilbur Wright went for a plane ride near Kitty Hawk, NC. Little known fact: Orville made Wilbur go through a pat down search. Wilbur would say later that he felt violated.
In 1862, Rambler cousin Ulysses S. Grant expelled all Jews from Tennessee, Kentucky and Mississippi on the belief they were profiteering in cotton. Little known fact: Ron Paul was a medic in GrantÂ’s army.

It would be easy to crucify them if they blocked the pipeline. Imagine an opposition party that would rail against the evil of rich Democrat senators who fly around the country on private jets while they destroy any chance for good jobs for patriotic Americans.
Too bad we don't have an opposition party.

I was not impressed really with this provision, BUT it really doesn't matter. If Barry allowed it to continue, the libtard ecoshitwads would sue wherever they could find a federal judge to block the pipeline and delay it until the Canucks couldn't wait anymore.
So, if this latest manuever pisses off Obarky's base, all the better, but really it means little because without the WH and majorities in the Congress, it won't mean jack. Overwhelming pressure must be applied from above to get something like this pipeline built and OVERCOME the libtard litigious machine.
DOE and EPA must be severely handcuffed/and or ebolished... ie, Perry!

You have to consider the options as a result of the bill becoming law.
1. Obama approves it
Unions pay off the Dems that backed it while Dems blame the Obama for the approval and the Reps for making them include it in the first place to win back the enviroweenies.
The Reps claim credit for including it and wait for the next bribe from the Dems to extend the payroll tax holiday.
2. Obama rejects it
Dems blame Obama for rejecting it to buy back union support for them while still blaming the Reps for forcing them to put it in the first place to keep the enviroweenies giving them money.
Reps blame Obama for rejecting it crushing jobs, then demand twice the bribe for approving the next extension.
In both cases it is win-win for the Congresscritters, and only Obama has to pay the price.
Would House Dems throw Obama under the bus like that at this point?
A better question is how many times they will back up over him after they do.

WASHINGTON—U.S. officials believe the downed spy drone on display in Iran crashed and broke into several pieces, and the Iranians reassembled it to make it appear as though it landed intact.
Officials also believe the Iranians repainted the drone, perhaps to conceal damage done to the body of the plane. In an Iranian video, the drone appears to be white, whereas the actual one is charcoal gray, they said.

The source said that with the exception of Reps. Tom Cole (Okla.) and Walter Jones (N.C.), Boehner was the only person on the call to praise the deal.
No plans for a vote next week were announced.
A GOP leadership aide said Boehner laid out three options for the House: accept the Senate bill, go to a conference committee to reconcile the broader House legislation with the Senate bill or amend the Senate bill and send it back."

I don't think he can afford to reject it - the number one concern of both sides of the electorate is jobs. If he rejects it he's going to be playing against that concern. It gives the Republicans magazine full of silver bullets.
This is actually a pretty smart move by Boener and Co. If the provision just allows the pipeline directly, then the Democrats don't take the hit with the greens. This way Obama can't take their money and shaft them after the election like he was planning.

Nah, the political damage will already be done. I figure the best way out for him is to approve the pipeline and flog the jobs angle for all its worth.
Marxists don't really care that much about the environment. When the USSR collapsed it was one of the most polluted countries in the world.

Environmentalism is the new marxism. Without that, what will they have to fill the hole in their lives where most people shove god?

I thought I'd bought a Macaroni Grill gift cert. for my dad and step-mom a couple years ago, but I can't find the email receipt for it, so I'm wondering if it was a diff. place. Searched for "gift card" and found an email saying they get Starbucks ones a lot from another family member.
There are some pretty crystal ornaments out there...even if they hate it, it's small enough to not bother them!
Will probably send coffee from the place back home they miss...I like sending food because it gets eaten up or thrown out and doesn't take up space!

Some actors choose to retain the accent they are using for a part as long as they are on-set, so he must have been playing an American. Bale is Welsh.
