— rdbrewer Charlie Sheen is doing a live broadcast on Ustream tonight at 7:00 Pacific. (Below the fold.) I'd like to think I'm too civilized for popular twaddle like that, but... get me some popcorn, baby!
Gotta give him props for the name, "Sheen's Korner." I love that. The "k" helps encapsulate the kitschy nature of the whole thing.
You're either in Sheen's Korner or with the trolls!

Duh, winning!

Love the Mortal Kombatese...it was amusing the first hundred times I saw it employed,

High Speed Fail.
Good analogy, as this whole Sheen affair is a high speed train-wreck in motion. Its so sad, yet so captivating, to see somebody so utterly destroy themselves.

I gotta admit, that's gold.
I'm going to be one of those contrarians who says I kind of love what Charlie Sheen is doing these days, especially the part where he refuses to play the typical Hollywood bullshit game of "grovel, apologize, put out a statement, go to fake-rehab." Honestly, as long as he doesn't kill himself, I'm kind of enjoying the ride.
Fact: he has spontaneously said more incredibly funny, memorable things off the top of his (no doubt coked-up) head in the past few weeks than he ever did on that piece of crap Two and a Half Men.

You want to see real crazy? Alan Colmes is on Fox NewsWatch.
I was just informed that forced union membership and collective bargening with politicians who don't care what happens past their term doesn't have a negative effect on budgets at all. mmmmmmmKAY. Screw a line of charlie sheen! wonder what its like to mainline Alan Colmes for the crazy! WOW
... and btw, to the people who are still trying to tell us that sheen isn't on a stimulant (pick one.. or ten) fueled bender .. uhhh SHUT THE HELL UP. If you've been around someone on a coke bender, this is what you'd see. The quick witty remarks, fast talking, over confidence, etc. This isn't a manic episode. He's never been seen to show signs of bipolar disorder or anything similar. If he did, his 'down' episodes would be equally as drastic as this show your currently seeing. He wouldn't be able to have a job, and he'd have offed himself by now.
Home drug tests are weak, and btw they are only as good as the person GIVING the test.. and WATCHING. He was using a friends urine.
Posted by: John Frum at March 05, 2011 08:27 PM (4wDyv)
I mean, I remember hearing Eminem talk about how he had these people around him who kept feeding him drugs and telling him he was doing great(i.e "Winning!"), when he had completely lost it.
He's off drugs now, and he's been honest about it. Sheen needs to get rid of the "yes men", and get some people who actually care about him. But hey, they were all AA this, and he was like "Bye Bye that!".

Posted by: sartana at March 05, 2011 10:38 PM (7Xm5b)
Okay, I'm about twenty minutes in and it's not bad. Sheen's actually approaching it like a pro. He's making a perfectly good effort at hosting his own show. If he could get some people with talent around him instead of the two Hollywood boho douchebags he's got now, he might be able to turn this into a steady gig. I bet a lot of current pros on talk radio did a hell of a lot worse on their first go at it. If he could get the "goddesses" to wear some revealing clothing and walk across the screen holding numbers between each segment, like the girls at boxing tournaments, I think that would be good.
I can't say what state of mind Sheen is in right now, but he's pulling something off.

Posted by: the forgotten man at March 05, 2011 11:48 PM (RNVJh)
I'm with you completely. Hollywood(and for some time now, the whole country) is governed by this sick therapy/rehab culture where people are almost encouraged to debase themselves for the sole purpose of seeking counseling and achieving New Age self-awareness. Rehabilitation is trumpeted as the goal, but the end result is that sin is exalted and the sinner sanctified. It's a weird secular Messianism where instead of turning inward to be redeemed by God, a person goes outward to achieve rebirth to themselves. It's sick and twisted and it turns upside down the Christian tradition, but it seems to be the state religion nowadays. Nothing Sheen is going on about makes sense if one doesn't bear this in mind. I just watched his whole show, and obviously the guy is in full control of his mind and senses- schizoids don't put together blogcasts on the fly. So his rants can't be easily dismissed as the ravings of a lunatic.
As to Sheen's Korner, I give it two thumbs up. I just spent a whole hour of my admittedly not happening Saturday night, being entertained Charlie Sheen just winging it, with the odd interjection from his girl on the couch. And that's one hour more than I'd spend watching some douche like the Fallon Gong Show. I thought Sheen would just be sitting alone, ranting into his webcam, but he actually made a reasonable effort to put together a little production. Not bad for a first go. If he dumps that sorry ass sidekick and the raging idiot "soundman", he might be raking in cash from web-adds. I know I'll be watching. Basically, he's choosing to not cry in the corner and he's going on with his act alone. Anyone who calls out "Dr." Drew Pinsky for being the malicious fuckwit that he is gets an automatic +10 on my scorecard.
I'm not going to comment on Sheen's lifestyle as I don't have anything to add to what's been said. But like his brother Emilio said in an interview last week, Charlie's been like this for nearly thirty years. And I'm thinking to myself, that no one has made much of an issue of his behaviour until just recently when he went on a rant and took some digs at some very powerful people and managed to bruise their very fragile egos, and now it seems their lowering the boom on him. They've canceled a very successful show, they've gone after his kids and now they're dragging out some ancient emails where apparently he made threats to one of his ex-wives. Funny how those old emails didn't seem to be relevant till now. Hollywood is a sick place. You can be a serial child rapist like Roman Polanski, and still be treated like royalty- untouchable- as long as you stay in good graces of those in power, but if you any disrespect , however minor, you're finished. It's probably going to get ugly for Charlie unless his father steps in.
If someone would have told me two months ago that I'd be simultaneously rooting for both Charlie Sheen and Muamar Kaddafy, I'd have kicked a mime.

Forced drugging? Oh no, he's quite drugged up enough as it is. If you have some complex about a Nurse Ratched fantasy that's your issue. I tune out Hollywood almost completely - I don't even watch TV - and even I knew Sheen had threatened his ex-wife.
If anyone cares about Sheen - not those dopey hanger-on yes-entities from the broadcast, but say his father - then they need to get him help. Not necessarily rehab, which doesn't seem to work at all, ever, but something. Before he kills someone, himself or someone who pisses him off. Did you notice that he seems to be going mad?
Is he your hero, d? Is Lindsay Lohan also really awesome, or is she some skanky skank-ho? The truth is, both these celebrities would be living under bridges if it weren't for their fame and (in Chucko's case) his famous dad.

Highest paid actor in Hollywood who carrys a show to such success is usually the boss. I don't consider myself a Sheen supporter- said I don't support his personal behaviour. Also, his sordid past is irrelevant, as the producers never made an issue of it- even having shot someone like you mentioned. Only when he bruised egos did they pull the plug.
