— Ace I'm f'n' awesome at headlines. I should just do headlines. Enough with this "writing" horseshit.
Anyway, DNA was found on her dress.
This isn't exactly news because Geraldo Rivera reported the prosecutors' case is overwhelming and incontrovertible, at least as regards sexual contact. The only possible defense is consent.
Geraldo went further. With actual sex rejected, Strauss-Kahn went for sodomy. Both kinds -- Country and Western. (This is Blues Brothers reference, not a joke about the Heartland.)
It's good to be the king. (R-Rated Mel Brooks Off-Color Comedy There.)
Now, if you can at all follow this logic, please do explain it to me in the comments.
But Bill Maher thinks that the Strauss-Kahn archsocialist-forcible-sodomy-on-the-world's-taxpayers'-dime should teach "Teabaggers" some lessons about socialism, and, I shit you not, that lesson is that... socialism is good.
His point seems to be that the $3000 a night hotels and sodomy-rape of chambermaids proves to us teabaggers that socialism is all about "profit" (both pecuniary and in non-pecuniary License to Rape form, I suppose), which we should appreciate.
That's right, Teabaggers, this is a teachable moment for you. The fact that this guy was living like a king, and raping like a king, on the taxpayers' dime is proof that socialism is not scary, and yes, that s what he says.
Do you get that? I don't. I assume this insight comes from a place of cocaine abuse brain damage.
More: Wanted to link this yesterday. This NYP report on Strauss-Kahn's post-forcible-sodomy behavior is hilarious slash horrifying.
What he does is horrifying; how they report it is hilarious.
The guy walked out of one forcible sodomy and immediately began molesting women on the airplane he got on.
I gotta tell ya, all of a sudden Bill Maher is making an awful lot of sense to me.

And for those times it doesn't work, you need a fat French rapist with a law degree sucking at the taxpayer's teat (both literally and figuratively) in $3k/night hotel rooms. For the good of society. Or something.

Okay, first off, the maid here has every ounce of my sympathy. I believe her story a hundred times more than this fat, ugly, French douche's.
That said, this pisses me off.
Meanwhile, a New York assemblyman has said he wants the state to require hotels to provide their housekeepers with an emergency "panic button" that would help protect them from sexual assaults on the job.
Rory Lancman, a Democrat from Queens, said he intended to introduce the bill on Monday.
Really? Must EVERYTHING become a matter of legislation? Does it have to be something a hotel chain must be REQUIRED to provide?

You seem to give him much more attention that the rest of america gives him, which is any.
Do you watch his show a lot or something? I've never found him particularly funny, even before the 2000 election forever destroyed mainstream political comedy in america.

WINNING.
Me, I want Bill Maher to live a long, lonely, miserable life, watching the pillars of his leftist politics fall away as America and enters a new era of prosperity and rediscovers its conservative roots (which are solid, unlike Obama's Irish roots, which make me laugh my ass off). Then, someday in the future, when he's old and gray and doddering in his rocking chair, gumming his Cream of Wheat in front of a repeat of Law and Order where DA Jack McCoy is saying something bigoted about Christians, I'll go to Bill Maher's shitty apartment, kick in the door with my sassy boots, and spit in his food. "Fuck you, cocksucker," I'll say, all awesome and shit. And then I'll be gone.
That is my dream

Here is my take: A quick read of Animal Farm tells you that fundamentally, wealth for the few is good as long as you are the few. And rather than work and be industrious enough to make it into the FEW (all the while bringing the many up with you as they benefit from a quality of life they create through their industry) The best way to be in the few is have all the others work and receive little or nothing while the few simply TAKES theirs from the many. Capitalism does not create as wide a disparity between the haves and have nots because there are have somes in between. With Socialism there are have and a gaping whole til you get to the have nothings.

For the prosecutor to state the evidence is overwhelming and incontrovertible is easily explained. We Frenchmen derive great pleasure from spanking our monkey's on a girls dress. It's just a part of being French. American's are just so gauche, and have no understanding of Europe and our proud traditions.

ah, that explains it then. He's one of the few of the credentialed aristocracy is openly says what they don't openly talk about.
I've just never understood why anyone watched him. I guess i kinda understood in the Bush era because he was openly vicious and that's what some people wanted, but pre-2000 I don't understand how he was able to make it so far given he isn't funn.y

Sodomy is defined at law as oral or anal copulation. In the criminal codes. If violation occurs this way, in older codes that can't be rape, which is only just real sex. That has been changed in many codes, but the legal definition of sodomy is as I said. Country and Western.

Sodomy is defined at law as oral or anal copulation. In the criminal codes. If violation occurs this way, in older codes that can't be rape, which is only just real sex. That has been changed in many codes, but the legal definition of sodomy is as I said. Country and Western.
It's exactly what I think it is. Where does Hill Billy music come into this ontology? Then there is folk music. I don't know about you, but hearing Joan Baez sing makes me want to hurt people.

BTW - Since when is it considered comedy to deliver 'jokes' with anger and outright hostility? Seriously.. who thinks that is funny? How on gods green earth did this guy get such a high profile gig?

Outcome: DSK convicted of forcible sodomy, kidnapping, etc., and then with political pressure, the Manhattan DA swaps DSK for Roman Polanski and potentially other miscreants. DSK is moved to France to serve his sentence in the Bastille.
Once in the Utopian lockup, DSK will be afforded the normal luxuries for elitist socialists such as a personal chef, manicurist, conjugal visits, and of course the opportunity to plunger and rape a few French or African courtesans.

With DSK's lawyers unfortunately nothing is a slam-dunk. They will be interviewing everyone this woman ever spoke to. By time of trial, they will know if/who she ever had sex with and whether she lied on a questionnaire.
They will say it is consensual and ask why she didn't scream for help in the hallway. They will confront her in the courtroom in a way that destroys her credibility.
It's what they do. They are scumbag, multi-million dollar defense lawyers.

I say given previous accusations of rape + the earlier actions he's admitted to + the evidence so far in this case = he's almost certainly guilty.

OTOH, if she had agreed to the BJ for a tidy cleaning fee and was just really bad at it, a frenchman in flagrant delecto about to burst may have reached for the nearest operational outlet available. When I first heard the culprit referred to as "DSK", all I could think was "Oooh - he must be a really bad guy!"
It's almost like the Mel Gibson character in Conspiracy Theory, who mentions under what conditions a person in the news is referred to by including his middle name (something which I assumed was silly when I first heard it in the movie, but which I have since noticed is kinda true!).

More to the point, Maher has really outdone himself (with help). First, he redefines socialism as "just another political party, blah, blah". Then his goofy sidekick accuses - well, he really doesn't even say who, but the context seems to imply the dreaded "Teabaggers" - of redefining words. Wow.
And his other goofy sidekick, who puts forth the theory that socialism is just some minor augmentation of capitalism to make things work better. OMG! This lady, from the Financial Times - a newspaper in Britain that professes to support capitalism, but is generally so really confused about it that they might as well admit to being Lefties (it's not just her).
It brings me back something Maher did that is genuinely funny, though. I was channel surfing, and caught a snippet of some standup show he did years ago. He dumping on Bush over "the surge", how stupid Bush thinks he knows better than everybody else. Maybe in 10 or 20 years, they'll be selling tapes of Maher to conservatives, just so they can laugh at the stupid things he complained about that have since panned out.
Yeah, and Obama isn't a "fake socialist" - he's just a socialist who's "in the closet" about it.
