I think there must be, CDR.
However, in this thread you can say things like: "Hi, How are you?", or "I like pancakes" and not have it taken as an insult or a come-on.
How nifty is that? (In this thread you can also say things like "nifty").

Speaking of airports, I have a brief rant.
We were allowed to accompany our son to the gate at ATL on Friday. First we had to endure "security".
The line for Military/Airline employees was a blast. Watching the pilot in front of our son removing his shoes, jacket, emptying his pockets....watching our son removing his dog tags, shoes, belt, etc.......the two pilots behind us doing the same.....removing my dress sandals and walking barefoot on the nasty floor....the pilot behind me muttered, "Ain't this fun?" And I replied, "I'm trying to remember the Good Ol' Days."
Then there was the TSA goon, who examined our son's military ID with a fine-toothed comb. He looks up at D'oh Boy and asks, "Where is Okinawa located on Japan?" Our son looks at him and a light bulb goes off in his head: So that's why Mom and Dad sacrificed to send me to private school. Son replied, "It's a separate island south of the mainland." TSA goon looks confused and hands over the ID.
At least we weren't wanded like the two little kids we saw. Can't wait to go through security here and in Las Vegas this week.

What the H is up with the Army and this Stetson hat deal? Ok, I thought the berets were kinda, uhm, a bit not, well the berets just don't seem like an American thing -- and nonetheless the black berets were for the Rangers, and man did my husband pitch a fit when it wasn't just for them. Now the Stetson hats -- I think an entire army wearing those would look, well, uhm, well it just doesn't seem like it would be all that great a visual impression. And the Stetson was just for 1st Cav -- so again, why take a unit's big identifying thing and make it army-wide, especially when the only thing that was in any way cool about it was it's uniqueness.
Plus those berets and Stetsons are expensive and bloody hell to keep nice -- so I guess it's forcing soldiers to spend more of their hard earned cash on a piece of head apparel that isn't even practical (those Stetsons will be nearly as bad as the freaking berets in the comfort department, only advantage is it shades your eyes, but they cost a shit load more).

I don't know if allowing only 1,000 to be chopped up in front of them is enough for another Nobel Peace Prize for the UN. If it had been 4,000 killed, then there would be no question ... but I'm not sure if 1,000 is quite enough people to massacre to get a Nobel. I guess we'll find out.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark (Reuters) - Arkansas students who love their sagging pants should soon leave them at home.
Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe signed a bill on Wednesday that bans students from wearing clothing that exposes "underwear, buttocks or the breast of a female."
One concern of the General Assembly was that "student competition over the manner in which clothing is worn could lead to violence and injuries during school hours," according to the legislation.
Florida is considering a bill similar to the Arkansas law. In that state, the NAACP has denounced the bill and said it unfairly targets black males.
In Arkansas, the bill had little public opposition, although several legislators voted against it. "Individual expression is important to young people and dress is an especially strong statement of expression, and I don't think legislators should meddle with that," said Sue Madison, a Democratic state senator from Fayetteville, Ark.
In a related story, all other problems in Arkansas have been magically solved.

Tales from our esteemed Judiciary:
East Pennsboro police say a district judge from Huntingdon County was arrested after midnight this morning after he was accused of repeatedly beating on the hotel room door of another judge who was attending a conference in the same hotel.
Police say when they arrived at the Radisson Penn Harris hotel, Douglas Gummo, 42, of Petersburg, was intoxicated, unclothed and wrapped in a bed sheet. The woman inside the room told police she had denied Gummo entry earlier in the evening, but that he appeared three times and beat on the door for approximately 10 minutes and tried to turn the door knob.
The woman in the room was identified by police as a magisterial district judge from outside the Harrisburg area.

I've been Banned at Spacebattles.com for supporting conservative view points! Really I was. I've never been banned from any site ever and I'm kind of in shocked.
The site is basically a fanfiction site but it has a non scifi thread for discussions and of course it is just crawling with leftwing know it alls. I would take exception to what they said about things and would support my arguments. I was regularly insulted and ridiculed, but I felt that it was important to put up the good fight. I even had some private support from other members, they did warn me though that at some point I would be banned for awhile as a warning to keep my mouth shut.
If you want to have a good time today go over and get on and go to the non scifi debate thread and have some fun poking holes in the lefties.

Don't forget Terry Jones. At this rate, if left to his own devices he could destroy five or ten cheap printed Qurans in his lifetime. Far worse than merely storming out of a mosque and beheading the first non-Muslim you see.
Petraeus came out and condemned Jones again. No word on free speech or, you know, our values: freedom of expression, and general opposition to beheading tantrum murder. Nope, the stupid Quran should not be burned because obviously Muslims would otherwise not find reasons to murder people.

Saw the documentary Battle for Marjah maybe a month ago. If you've been questioning the COIN-nation building trajectory in Afghanistan, the film will do nothing to change your mind. Guys hung out and surrounded in a town getting hammered by snipers, air strikes and artillery support refused, locals hate infidel outsiders despite infrastructure improvement and better life... Everything we know, or have learned over time, but aren't supposed to think.
PC is killing a lot of (the wrong) people these days.
Petraeus is right that tribal bumblefucks in Afghanistan will make a single Quran buring a reason to kill infidels for the next millenium. But does that mean we should move quickly to appease them?

For Obama, a carefully calculated delay on justifying Libya air strikes
The timing was deeply controversial, but was designed to be a major part of the message itself, unfolding as the U.S. chalked up a measure of achievement in Libya and appeared to back away from lead management of the international military effort there.

As President Obama made his way to South America aboard Air Force One two weeks ago, he and his staff began planning a sweeping address to the American people that would explain in depth the airstrikes about to begin in Libya.

I was one of the first to sign up for SD.net, back when it was most of us from ASVS. It got steadily worse as time went on, and when they added a News and Politics forum, all of the libtards came out in force. It also didn't help that the forum owner seemed to pull a CJ. Last I had heard, his wife forbid him from participating on his own bulletin board. Kind of sad, because there are a lot of good people on the board, and many of them would fit in here.

96 AND 101 Why doesn't someone with some skill at setting up these kind of sites set one up for conservatives. A place where we can go and get away from all the left tards. I would do it but I don't have the level of skill that it would take. I wouldn't even know how to start, but I would be a frequent visitor if there was one.
More on that line of thought, why aren't there more conservative themed sites. I mean there are alsorts of things out there for lefties but why aren't we on the conservitive side matching them one for one? We need to create a competeing popular culture zone where we can send our kids to see and do fun things without the overt leftwing bias that dominates popular entertainment now.

We saw this in Iran. As bad as the Shah was, having Iran turn into a Islamic state has been devastating on US interests. As bad as Gadaffi is and he is bad, he is a Secular Tyrant and quite honestly ever since Reagan bombed the hell of him he hasn't been much a threat to us. But this Caliphate can grow to become a far greater threat than even the Soviet Union was.
So, we are on the wrong side this time. Supporting the Libya war is supporting the destruction of the United States of America and any politician who does support this war I will consider a traitor to America. This war must be stopped for our sake.

Given that we're committed to bombing both sides I think it must occasionally be in our interests. It's funny to hear talking heads blaming Jones for the murders in Afghanistan but not a peep about the _certain_ seething in the Ummah and resulting jihad from Libya.
Everything creates more terrorists. Attack, withdrawal, inaction, Quran immolation, cartoons, and even liberated Pakistani actresses but I would like to see some consistency on the Left military action "creating more terrorists."

Salafists waste some less-than-Salafist Muslims. No word on number of Qurans burned or injured.

And you could say perhaps it is like what we did in Afghanistan with the Soviets but back then they weren't our enemy but became our enemy later.
The Soviets pulled out of Afghanistan in 1989 and the Taliban didn't take over Afghanistan until 1996. America backed what essentially later became the Northern Alliance. The Taliban let al Qaeda hang out in Afghanistan after their 1996 takeover. Clinton was too busy getting his dick sucked to pay attention to what was going on.
Never buy the lefty lie than Reagan armed the Taliban or al Qaeda. They both came to power while an uninterested Clinton was playing whoremaster instead of tending to America's foreign policy.

Some politicians have come through. Ron and Rand Paul.
Michelle Bachmann has come through in spades
She really hit the Today Show episode out the off the park.

"Would it not be showing them that we have compassion"?
Compassion for al Qaeda?
Nailed it! Made the the guy doing the interview look like a fool.
Right now of all those thinking about running Michelle Bachmann is AT THE TOP of my list.
Rubio, on the otherhand, he is a traitor!

Reid: Probe of Quran Burning Considered
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says congressional lawmakers are discussing taking some action in response to the Koran burnings of a Tennessee pastor that led to killings at the U.N. facility in Afghanistan and sparked protests across the Middle East, Politico reports.
“Ten to 20 people have been killed," Reid said Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “We’ll take a look at this of course. As to whether we need hearings or not, I don’t know.”
Sen. Lindsey Graham said Congress might need to explore the need to limit some forms of freedom of speech, in light of Tennessee pastor Terry JonesÂ’ Quran burning, and how such actions result in enabling U.S. enemies.
"I wish we could find a way to hold people accountable. Free speech is a great idea, but we're in a war," Graham told CBS' Bob Schieffer on “Face the Nation” Sunday.
“During World War II, we had limits on what you could do if it inspired the enemy," Graham said, adding certain speech can “put our troops at risk.”
It's Sunday - mustn't curse. mustn't curse.....

Really? Traitor? And you, among all, suspected as much all along? My ... my ... you certainly are brilliant.
You seem a little too invested in knocking down a genuine fiscal conservative. I'm not thrilled by his interventionist views vis a vis Lybia but given his family's Cuban history I can kind of understand his sympathy toward knocking out a ruthless genocidal dictator.

St. PatrickÂ’s Day parade for the future
Last night, I dreamed that the St. PatrickÂ’s Day parade was marching into the 21st century.
The Grand Marshal was a woman chosen for her hard work over the years and a member of the gender-integrated Knights of Columbus.
The Shriners, too, were gender-integrated.
Then came the gender-integrated corps of the military, as well as people who work for peace. Men and women lining the parade route and wearing lipstick ran out to kiss both the men and the women as they marched by.
Next came the gender-integrated Benedictine and St. VincentÂ’s students marching by, covered with lipstick from the kisses theyÂ’d received from enthusiastic men and women along the route. There were floats carrying street people, familiar sights in downtown Savannah.
There were floats carrying out-of-work folks looking for jobs. The Clydesdales pulled tea wagons as well as beer wagons.
The school bands were made up of black, white, brown and various other skin toned youths, accompanied by male and female flag twirlers.
The rest of the parade was family groups of all types: blended families, single-sex families, traditional families. Then I woke up, but it was a beautiful dream.

Email Threats Giffords-Style Attack on New York Lawmakers
Albany, NY (WBEN) -- State Police in the Capitol region are investigating a series of threatening emails that were sent to numerous state and local lawmakers in Albany on Friday.
The emails are "similar in content," according to investigators. Troopers are not officially releasing any further information, citing the sensitivity of the investigation.
But an Albany-area television station obtained a copy of the email Friday evening, from Assemblyman James Tedisco.
In it, the writer expresses outrage over government power, and the perceived arrogance of politicians and those who support them. The person threatens a mass-shooting like the one in Tucson earlier this year, in which Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was critically wounded and several other people, including a federal judge and a nine-year-old girl, were killed.
"It is obvious to me that the wealthy in this country are so well insulated that nothing will pull them off task and that, in order to deal with them, I need to incite people to violence. In a day where those in power are bold enough to eliminate labor unions and the government conducts surveillance on Americans whenever they speak out, the response must be violence," the email opens.
The author claims to work in a state office, and promises to exploit that connection.
"I personally am going to use my position and contacts in State government to gather information about the vulnerabilities of public and private targets in New York. The idiots that I work with don't have the slightest idea about my extracurricular activities," the writer says.
"There is one legislator who should immediately recognize the writer of this message because 3 years ago, I spoke to him in person and warned him about these very topics, including the school attacks. But you know what - I bet he wasn't paying attention. We're going to get his attention," the person taunts.

But still if you hold the totally WRONG belief that Reagan was to blame this would even be far worse than that!
Same goes for Bush. I supported and still do support both Iraq and Afghanistan except I do think it has become too much "nation building" and too little KICK ASS.
But the truth is Bush did seek Congressional approval. I kind of side with those who think he probably should have gone a little further with the whole war declaration stuff but still he came pretty close.
But with Obama who was mad at what he claimed was not sufficient congressional approval he didn't even attempt ANY Congressional approval.
But we all know what Obama is about right now. SO what are the Republicans about? What's the Tea Party about. There are concrete steps that Republican Congressmembers can do right now to oppose this and certainly the public can start voicing their opposition. And some have. Michele Bachmann (Who I hope will become our first woman President) has. Both Ron and Rand Paul has. And a few others. BUT THEY ALL SHOULD BE.
Again, I understand it from McCain. He is really mentally ill. But not from the other Republicans who has either remained quiet or like Rubio (who I guess is just dumb perhaps as I don't see him as having the same mental issues as McCain) actually supporting the Libyan war.
But let me be clear to me any one including Republican politicians who support the war is a traitor to the United States. That includes Rubio. That includes McCain (again someone I have felt that way about for a long time as you can't hug someone who supposedly tortured you along with hundreds of your fellow servicemen without being on). That also includes Jerry Rivers (Gerrado Rivera) but like with Obama I haven't really expected much otherwise for quite some time.
But Hannity, But O'Reilly - WHAT SAY YOU? They too have been fence sitters to some extent while they should be actively opposing the Libyan War.

It's similar to the old joke that Conservatives don't throw large protests because we have jobs. The people who have an interest in arguing about Star Trek vs. Star Wars over the internet are the kind of geeks who are going to be drawn to liberalism. I've known a few who weren't, but the vast majority are either college students, or in jobs that don't require a whole lot of people skills or interaction with the real world.

Yeah, he is so fiscally responsible? This Libyan war is going to cost us Millions, perhaps Billions for what to protect France's Oil? And in the process strengthen al Qaeda which will hurt our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
So,yeah, Fuck Rubio. He may have developed some good talking points on some budget matters but he is phony to the core!

Enough with the politics! I want to know what you all think of Eva Green's breasts. She didn't have them in Casino Royale and now in Camelot, she's stacked. She's french, so I don't think she would get implants (hurray for her). Maybe, they computer generated her head onto some boobs? Is that the trend? Can they really do that?

I only kill a few Trout a year...to do this.
Rub inside and out with butter, tiny sqeeze of Lemon, Salt and Pepper then wrap in Aluminum Foil. Barbeque, or coal roasted for 2 minutes a side, no more. Once cool, de-bone and set meat aside.
Scramble eggs (2 per trout min.), cook until they start to come together, then add the Trout Meat and gently fold to finish.
Serve with Lightly toasted Bagels.
