— Dave in Texas Just cause it's Saturday night.
Game time is less than 24 hours or a week even, from now. Remember when they played in January? Good times, good times.
Green Bay and Pittsburgh (two of the most insignificant places on the planet), both their teams are in Dallas gettin ready for tomorrow. Where it's not 12 degrees, where there ain't 3 feet of snow on the roads. Where airports work.
I think Vegas says Packers by 2.5. Over/under 45.
My call is GB by 7 and over/under 54. You've seen my football prowess, bet accordingly.
Also, God I'm so stupid. Well, ok, pre-pre-trash talkin Saturday night and Pro-Bowl haiku contest.

all good things come to an end
this is the end my friend

But they don't, and I don't.
Whatever.

And I'll laugh when he gets flagged for holding it, with the 5 yard penalty.

Kratos, that is disingenuous. OJ Simpson was indicted and tried (badly and with the wrong outcome, but that's the way it worked). Ben Roethlisberger was investigated and no charges were brought. WTF

Obama has been against Green Bay during the entire playoffs. First, he rooted for the dog killer Vick. Then, his "hometown" Bears. Now, he will undoubtedly be rooting for the Steelers. The Steelers owner Dan Rooney is his Ambassador to Ireland and the inventor of the "Rooney Rule". No doubt, Obama thinks that the police reacted "stupidly" in arresting Roethlisberger. Finally, Packer cornerback Charles Woodson mocked Obama in his postgame address to the team after beating the Bears(And we know how thick skinned Barack is about being made fun of,) Face it morons. If you are rooting for Pittsburgh, you are 100% on the side of President Obama. Enjoy!

I find it ironic that in today's media culture two "insignificant" teams from Flyover Country who happened to be two of the league's storied franchises, are competing for the title
Posted by: Ombudsman at January 29, 2011 06:03 PM (c1oyg)
Bears still suck.
Cowboys aren't even up to suck level yet. Pack beat them so bad their coach got fired, same as the Vikings.
Green Bay: Bringing the beat-down so bad, two opposing head coaches got FIRED... in mid-season!

Also, why do they even play the probowl anymore? Does anyone watch it?
Haven't we gotten to the point we were realize all star games in football are a joke?

Adding the bye week to the regular season pushed the Super Bowl into Feb.
They moved the Pro Bowl to the week before the SB, and still no one watches.

To shorten the sports chasm between the Super Bowl and the Daytona 500 and Spring Training. (Pro basketball is an unwatchable farce, and NCAA hoops is meaningless until the tournament)

That's the Ray Charles singers, actually (not the Ray Charles). They were made famous by their frequent appearances on the Perry Como Show.
Ray Conniff was a trombonist in the Big Band days who became a bandleader himself in the Easy Listening days, releasing several hundred thousand LPs of mind-numbing sameness.
