— Ace Honestly, I think she's just recusing herself so she can not recuse herself on ObamaCare, and then say "But I recused myself before!"
Anyway, she won't be deciding this one:
In its notice, the court said Justice Elena Kagan had recused herself from the decision to take the case.Justice Kagan has come under fire for not recusing herself from the decision to hear challenges to the new health care law.

What is interesting is this shows how they system our Founders set up, has gotten whacked all out of shape.
Note that they were very careful to balance power, so no single branch could dominate... yet the Supremes really have no check upon their power, or legal authority. There is no oversite of the Court, and no authority to over ride their decisions, no matter how silly.
But then, the Founders did not envision them as being the Only Arbiter of Constitutionality... they thought the STATES would be the 'check' on Federal Power... which sadly ended during the Civil War.

Kagan is a not-so-bright liberal/leftist hack. How is she qualified to be on any case?
One more reason that we must elect the person best to beat Obama. Obama's surpeme court picks are a disaster for this nation.

I agree. Court picks are long term problems, so this 'let's teach the party a lesson' idea is a bad idea because the consequences aren't just during the president's term.
Had Mccain won, he would have probably had a mixed record on appointments. Romney in particular has a horrible record on appointments, 75% of them being liberals. But both are way better than Obama's.
After the primary is over, it's Anybody But Obama time.

Even lamer was the claim that the Sept. 11 attacks were an argument for closing the (nonexistent) "gun show loophole." This claim, made first in a Brady Campaign press release and then in a suspiciously similar op-ed bearing the byline of former Clinton Administration official Eric Holder, just plain flopped. Nobody could be persuaded that Usama bin LadenÂ’s boys would have trouble laying their hands on an AK-47, regardless of what rules govern gun shows.
But if you give Mexican Cartel Terrorists guns from Gun Shoes....

This.
Also, Kagan has a habit of reclusing herself from cases, as she has only been on the bench for 10 out of the 25 arguments the Supremes have heard this year. Which makes sense because she worked on many of the cases which the Supreme Court is holding hearings on, but you can be damned sure that she won't miss the Supreme's hearing on Obamacare - no matter the cost.

"yet the Supremes really have no check upon their power, or legal authority. There is no oversite of the Court, and no authority to over ride their decisions, no matter how silly."
Of course there is authority.. In Congress AND in the states.
If SCOTUS throws out a badly written law, it can simply be re-written.
If SCOTUS throws out a law than can never pass the test of Constitutionality, Congress and the states can write and pass an amendment to make it Constitutional.

scissoring
A Lesbian sex act where two partners interlock their spread legs (like two pairs of scissors) and grind their vulvae together to stimulate each other's clitoris to orgasm. Also called tribadism, the practice has many colloquialisms. In some Central American countries it is called "making tortillas," and the Chinese refer to the act as "polishing mirrors".
I felt myself get hard as I peeked through the window and watched Ellen and Anne get naked and make out on the bed, but it wasn't until they began scissoring that I realized I had just creamed in my pants.
