— Ace The Children's Crusade.
In more Occupy news:
Seattle scumbags clash with police; 11 arrested.
300-400 Occupiers attempted to blockade one of the nation's most active and crucial ports, Long Beach. The action resulted, as JWF would say, in mostly peaceful "skirmishes" with police.
Neil Cavuto talks with one of these idiots, whose name, if I caught it right, is Chubby Chaser's Lisa Loeb, who was "targeting" the port of Portland, to shut down Goldman Sachs' extensive shipping operations (???).
This girl brings up an important issue, though: Shame-Eating.

Ouch. Step 1: Find a Tax Attorney. Tax law is so bad you'll get 4 different answers to the same question from 3 different IRS Agents.
As for the OWS Hippies (I know: that's an insult to hippies) taking their kids to the protest... words fail. It's one thing to take your kids as you use your right to assemble and petition for redress of grievances (for example: Any Tea Party protest anywhere). It is something else to use them as props and shields while so doing.

Harmless stuff for the most part but I did have issues with not being someone's friend defined a bullying. Right of free association?
Rolling your eyes at someone was also defined as bullying. So, no disagreements allowed?

But what use are broken cogs? They're useless, criminal vermin. I had hoped that the EoJ regime would offer a more permanent solution to the OWS question. Admittedly, the joy of forcing them to (attempt) labor would be nice for a while, but in the end they'd be more trouble than they're worth.

OK, just watched the Occupy Seattle protest at the Port of Seattle. The one union worker said "It's ok, I'm getting paid anyways, so I don't care." Really? At the end of the clip, the reporter said that it's probable that the majority of workers who couldn't get into the Port at Oakland will not be paid. So riddle me this, why would the Seattle Unionista get paid when Oakland ones would not? I thought all animals were created equal. If I were a Union member in Oakland, I'd be pissed that my counterpart in Seattle is getting paid to not work while I wasn't.

WHAT??? That is sickening. It must be horrible to have to re-program your child every damn day after those scum in the public ed system apply hour upon hour of brain washing.
We've all heard of defining deviancy down, by which the Left tries to make corrupt behavior seem normal. This is the same thing in reverse - make every normal behavior "abnormal" so that there is no ability to differentiate between real life bullying, which is bad, and non-bullying which is morally neutral, or even praiseworthy.
Just when I think I can't hate the Left any more, they find a new way to earn my loathing.

Let me tell you, Scott....it's just the beginning. I truly wish I could afford private school, too, for my 9th grader but I can't. But the liberal onslaught will really drive you mad over the years. All I can say is that, over the years, I have deconstructed what my son has been exposed to at school. He's now got a pretty good liberal BS radar. This year, when Obama spoke to all the school kids, he really really didn't want me to opt him out, like I had in the past. I asked why. He said because he wanted to watch it and take down notes about what baloney was spewed. LOL Most kids had their heads down and didn't listen anyway....but here was my kid, feverishly jotting down notes so we could joke about it later. Moron-in-Training!

I explained our disagreement about it saying you were wrong to choose not to be friends with someone. We've explained to him there are going to be people in his life he shouldn't be friends with. He's already been introduced to the concept of other kids getting away with things that he gets in trouble for because their parents have different standards.

He's wrong.
Well, sort of. The only way "good people" can "fight the nonsense" is by getting on the school board. Since that, by-and-large, is not going to happen, your best bet is to take your kids to private school (if you can) or home school them.
It sucks for the kids of good parents who can't take either of those options, but you have to do what's right by your family, first.

If enough people withdraw their kids from the school, people will notice. In Michigan schools get a per pupil stipend from the state. If a good number of people take their kids out, it cuts into their general fund.

Posted by: maliciously mis-leading teachers' union at December 13, 2011 09:43 AM (5npD/)
Late to the thread but just want to add that the anti-bullying stuff was a nationally pushed iniative for November by the federal government (Michelle Obama). At my son's school they had "anti-bullying" as the theme for the month, the whole school had to take class time to do activities related to it, library time was spent reading books about not bullying.
And there was an assembly for parents that we were supposed to attend to help us understand what the "epidemic of bullying" looks like and then the kids had to attend an assembly with a "nationally renowned anti-bullying expert" where they learned what bullying looks like and what to do when you are being bullied and how even what you think is an innocent action can be considered bullying.
The 4th and 5th grade boys took what they learned and used it to bully each other to see how far they could go before the other person got mad. Buncha smart asses, God love 'em.
