The Best Christmas Tree Ornament Ever
— Dave in Texas

Geoff tipped me on this bad dude.

Yeah. That's a lighthouse. Being destroyed by Godzilla.

God bless us, every one!

Hey, Ace:

Any posts on Rick Perry "retiring" early so he could start double-dipping on his public pension to the tune of $7,600 a MONTH.

I'm used to people blasting lazy, shiftless, worthless, stupid public school teachers and such for their "exorbitant" pensions.  (My dad's pension is approximately $31k - he retired after 34 years of teaching.)

I guess there's a reason why men like my dad (devoted Christian, pro-life, pro-gun) vote Democrat their whole lives in spite of their cultural differences with the left-wing nuts who run the party.

Maybe it's because most Republicans are hypocritical, loudmouthed a$$holes.

Please, please, please, tell me why I'm full of sh*t and Perry is a great candidate.

Un-fricking-believable.

Next thing you know, you're going to be telling me that one of the frontrunners took 1.6 million dollars from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae....

I just get a kick out of listening to party hacks defend the indefensible.

Simply put, if you support Rick Perry, you're a f**king dunce.  The guy has been "leaching" off the government his whole career.

I'd argue that politicians (along with companies that receive corporate welfare) "leach" to a much, much greater extent than a worthless babysitter / camp counselors like me...

Yup they expect someone else to pay for their retirement instead of saving themselves.

A 31K annuity over 15 years is worth about $350,000

So other than the $350,000 that was just given to your dad  for retirement, your dad was of course banned from contributing to an IRA (avail since 1974) to increase retirement income right? Right?

If they were asked to not block the hallway and continued to do so, they should get disciplined for that.

That being said, I'm sure the school administrators completely fucked up the situation and could have handled it with a quiet conference with a couple of the student leaders.

The only reason I even mentioned that my dad gets a $31,000 pension was to see how fast some dipshit would attack my dad for being fat, lazy, stupid, etc....

I just get a kick out of listening to party hacks defend the indefensible.

And yet no one did attack your dad, while you, you've freely disparaged all Perry supporters and others who don't share your "philosophy."

It's very defensible.  A thousand and one variables, playing themselves out over decades, resulted in the difference in pension amounts between your dad and Rick Perry.

Perhaps no one ever told you this, but there is a secret passphrase to a successful life that I, being a "hypocritical loudmouthed asshole" (project we much, there bub?) like to repeat to myself whenever needed, which is often.  Ready, here it is:  Life is not fair.  Suck it up, butterbean.

Now, go piss up a rope.

Huntsman, Bachman, Santorum all almost equal.

Romney, Perry, Gingrich, Obama and Paul.

In real life it's between Perry and Romney for me.

I am not sure that quiz is accurate.

I also work in sales, on my own, and I found out that if you have to many options people donÂ’t know what to choose so is better to leave them with only one option because the sale will be 100% closed and a lot faster.
