153 I thought it was an excellent piece.  Normally, when a progressive/lib writes a piece like this one, they can't help but insert digs at conservatives.  Aside from declaring his liberal bona fides at the start of the article and a short section at the end where he gives liberals far too much credit (along the lines of "surely we can do better"), he really sticks to the truth as he sees it without trying to sugar coat things. 

There's no point in comparing it to pieces written by people on the right, unless those folks have written similar testimonies about their come to Jesus moments in a liberal or progressive venue.  Simply writing this article was brave enough and deserves accolades, imho.

Stranahan's piece is "meh."  But I hope - really hope - he's getting a good long look at the comments to his piece.  For every R saying "welcome to the party, pal" and L saying "hey, you might have a point," there are dozens of idiot ergs posting variations of "they're lying about threats" or "fuck them, they deserve it."  I hope it opens Stranahan's eyes as to the company he keeps, but I doubt it.  As has been posted before, I'm sure he'll find some way to grovel and take it back up the squeakhole from his lefty masters.

But here's the thing.  We joke a lot here about stringing the left up from lampposts - but reading the comments to Stranahan and to almost every post at Althouse is turning me cold.  I've just about given up thinking any leftist is a fellow American.  In my darkest moments, I want there to be a revolution.  I want them to die.  I want them pissing their pants as they get shoved in front of a firing squad.

That's not America.  That's not how we roll.  But, my God, these cockholsters are making it easier and easier every day for people like me to take that last step and say exterminate them all.  They're playing with fire and they don't care!
