The Progressive Crisis
— Ace

Walter Russell Meade has another long piece, this one examining Democratic pollster Stanley Greenberg's assertion that while the majority of the public supports Democratic policies, they don't trust Democrats to actually put those policies into place; Greenberg claims the public agrees with the public on the Democratic liberal agenda, but is merely cynical about the liberal Democrats' execution and implementation of the approved agenda.

Is that it? It is true that if you ask the public if they want more free stuff, they say yes.

But that has always been a rather stupid way to ask the question. During the ObamaCare debate, Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) always pointed at polling results for smaller bits of ObamaCare: The public wants some more options, like a public one. The public wants young adults covered on their parents' policies until they are 30 or 40 or who knows, 50. The public wants an end to pre-existing conditions.

What the Democrats and the media refused to pay attention to was the public's disapproval of ObamaCare. When asked about the full package of ObamaCare, they said no.

In other words, asked about elements of ObamaCare out of context, the public wanted such things; but asked the critical in-context question of "Do you want ObamaCare?," i.e., the benefits as well as the costs, they said no.

Consider this analogy: Ask me if I'd like a very top-line sportscar. I'd say yes. Ask me if I'd like to do 0 to 60 in under 4 seconds. Yes again. Ask me if I'd like road-gripping $3,000 racing tires. Yes, I do. Ask me if I'd like that turbo charged. Yup.

Okay, I said yes to all of those things. So, if I want all of those things, why do I not own a Ferarri, or a Corvette?

Answer: Because you didn't ask me if I'd be willing to pay $150,000 or at least $70,000 for them. You didn't ask me about all elements of the bargain at once -- including price.

Because no car dealer is actually offering me these things for free. He's offering me a car in exchange for $70,000 or $150,000, and I may wish to keep that money for other purposes. (In fact, I might not even have that money at all.)

So to just ask this laundry list of "Do you want...?" is as absurd as the conclusion that every man in the country must own a Corvette or Mustang or refurbished Jaguar Mk. II simply because he agreed, in the abstract, that the things you were talking about sounded nice.

They did sound nice. I genuinely want those things. But I don't have the money, and if I did, I'd spend that money on other things which I want more.

This is actually an age-old sales technique. Wouldn't you like to provide for your children in the case of your death? Wouldn't you like the peace of mind of knowing that your children's welfare is assured? Etc.

But just because you answer yes to each of those questions does not mean you want the product being offered (life insurance, in this example). Because the salesman keeps delaying asking the highly relevant question of "Would you like to spend $150 a month for this product?"

I mean, that's the actual sell here. That's actually closing the deal, if you get a yes to that question. All the other questions were bullshit, intended to put the potential customer in a positive frame of mind.

The actual question, the only one that matters, is Are you willing to pay X amount of dollars for this Y product I want to sell? Everything before that is customer-greasing and bluster.

When Democrats and the media (but I yet again repeat myself) parse these smaller-item agenda points and ignore the larger, in-context question of whether the public wants these things enough to pay for them with forcible extraction of payment through taxation, they are deliberately fooling themselves, convincing themselves of a pleasant fiction because the actual reality ("the public doesn't want to pay for this crap") is too uncouth and uneducated for their liking.

Anyway, Meade considers Greenberg's various Community-Based Reality claims and rubbishes most of them in this excerpt:

Greenberg has not yet come to grips with the deepest and most difficult aspect of the crisis of liberal legitimacy. He roots the dangerous and corrupting special interests outside the state: with their money and their lobbying the corporations and the fat cats influence and pervert the state. But the state and its servants do not, in GreenbergÂ’s story, constitute a special interest of their own.

This is not how voters see it. For large numbers of voters the professional classes who staff the bureaucracies, foundations and policy institutes in and around government are themselves a special interest. It is not that evil plutocrats control innocent bureaucrats; many voters believe that the progressive administrative class is a social order that has its own special interests. Bureaucrats, think these voters, are like oil companies and Enron executives: they act only to protect their turf and fatten their purses.

The problem goes even deeper than hostility toward perceived featherbedding and life tenure for government workers. The professionals and administrators who make up the progressive state are seen as a hostile power with an agenda of their own that they seek to impose on the nation.

This perception, also, is rooted in truth. The progressive state has never seen its job as simply to check the excesses of the rich. It has also sought to correct the vices of the poor and to uplift the masses. From the Prohibition and eugenics movements of the early twentieth century to various improvement and uplift projects in our own day, well educated people have seen it as their simple duty to use the powers of government to make the people do what is right: to express the correct racial ideas, to eschew bad child rearing technique like corporal punishment, to eat nutritionally appropriate foods, to quit smoking, to use the right light bulbs and so on and so on.

Progressives want and need to believe that the voters are tuning them out because they arenÂ’t progressive enough. But itÂ’s impossible to grasp the crisis of the progressive enterprise unless one grasps the degree to which voters resent the condescension and arrogance of know-it-all progressive intellectuals and administrators. They donÂ’t just distrust and fear the bureaucratic state because of its failure to live up to progressive ideals (thanks to the power of corporate special interests); they fear and resent upper middle class ideology.

Progressives scare off many voters most precisely when they are least restrained by special interests. Many voters feel that special interests can be a healthy restraint on the idealism and will to power of the upper middle class.
The progressive ideal of administrative cadres leading the masses toward the light has its roots in a time when many Americans had an eighth grade education or less. It always had its down side, and the arrogance and tin-eared obtuseness of self assured American liberal progressives has infuriated generations of Americans and foreigners who for one reason or another have the misfortune to fall under the power of a class still in the grip of a secularized version of the Puritan ideal. But in the conditions of late nineteenth and twentieth century America, the progressive vanguard fulfilled a vital and necessary social role.

The deep crisis of the progressive ideal today is that it is no longer clear that the American clerisy is wanted or needed in that role.

Another example of focusing on the sales pitch and not the sale itself.

You can ask your average person: Do you wish people would exercise more? Take more of an interest in their health? Stop eating too much? Stop smoking? Stop drinking so much? Stop gambling away their kids' college funds?

Of course the answer is "yes" to all of these (for most respondents).

But again that's just the sales pitch, not the actual offer.

Give them the actual offer and most will say No. Because the actual offer is:

Do you wish to empower a cadre of busybody bureaucrats, who frankly are largely mediocrities at best, but believe themselves to be chosen for greatness, to boss you around your whole life, in order to make sure some other people aren't eating french fries and having a cigarette?

The real answer is "NO!," because the real answer is, "Look, sure I want other people to live better lives, but frankly, I don't care very much about that and I'm sure not paying for my own personal censor to scold me for making "bad" choices."

See, that's the cost. And if you ignore the cost, you're not talking about business, or sales, or politics, or anything.

You're just talking about fantasy wish-lists with no connection to any physical reality.

And you're a fucking idiot.

Barack Hussien Obama....Hmmmmm......Hmmmmm.....Hmmmmm !!! Oh yea I want four more years:

A separate report showed the number of planned layoffs at U.S. firms rose to a 16-month high in July, as sectors which had been seeing fairly few layoffs unexpectedly bled jobs.

Employers announced 66,414 planned job cuts last month, up 60.3 percent from 41,432 in June, according to a report from consultants Challenger, Gray & Christmas.

The job cuts were up 60 percent from June, and 59 percent higher than the 41,676 layoffs recorded in July 2010. Its was the largest monthly total since March 2010, and the first month this year that the government was not the biggest job cutter.

"What may be most worrisome about the July surge is that the heaviest layoffs occurred in industries that, until now, have enjoyed relatively low job-cut levels," John A. Challenger, chief executive officer of Challenger, Gray & Christmas, said in a statement.

Layoffs in the pharmaceutical and retail sectors overtook nonprofit and government job cuts last month, accounting for 20.32 percent and 16.93 percent of announcements, respectively.

One day we should have a thread of poll questions we'd like to see asked. Mine would be for progressives (shitbags, if you will):

A) Do you believe the government has any business in the decisions a woman and her doctor make? Y or N.

B) But you think otherwise the government ought to be involved in medical decisions, right, fucko? Y or N.

8 Of course everyone wants free shit. That's axiomatic. But the difference between the Dems and, sometimes (actually rarely) the Republicans is that the Republicans will discuss the cost of that free stuff.

There is another word for it; it's called "adulthood."

The opportunity for the Republican party is tremendous, perhaps unprecedented in our history. The unambiguous evidence of the total disaster that is progressive/liberal politics is staring them in the face; staring the country in the face. If they can't take advantage of that, then they deserve to fail.

Here's a post from a couple of years ago that makes Ace's point about polling benefits & costs with poll data from Kaiser.

Posted by: geoff at August 03, 2011 01:36 PM (CpBYB)

20 The key to a program like Obamacare is to structure it such that nobody can figure out who is going to pay for it.  That way people assume someone else will be coming up with the filthy lucre.

That's how we got into this medical mess to start with.  Hospitals, even private hospitals, are required to stabilize anyone who comes to the emergency room, whether or not they have money.  But the government doesn't provide the cash for that treatment - the hospital is left trying to collect from people who have no money or (I've seen this multiple times) citizens of other countries who just go home when the bill comes.

So the hospital adds the difference to everyone else's bill and calls it "cost shifting".  So when insured people go to the emergency room and get sent home after an x-ray and a blood test the insurance company gets a $15k bill.

Maybe 10% of the voters who think "Oh my God!  Look how much my health insurance went up!" are going to connect that bill with the "free emergency room care for illegals" policy.

This is their stock-in-trade. "Don't you want clean air and water?" they ask. Well, sure, who wants to drink brown sludge and breathe smoke? What they never ask is, "Do you want the government to control your home thermostat that you pay for?" nor do they ask, "Do you want to pay $50k for a coffin with wheels that doesn't have enough power to get out of its own way and damn sure can't accelerate fast enough to get ahead of that semi that's busy blowing through the red light right behind you?"

Or how about this one, "Do you want a gigantic federal agency with the power to either stop or delay indefinitely any kind of energy production based on a disproven hoax, one that kills jobs with wild abandon and makes the cost of practically every product you buy more expensive?"

No. They. Don't.

101 Old, old PR strategy.

Enviro groups often ask stuff like, "Are you in favor of cleaner air?" Then when 90% say yes, they issue press releases saying that the public supports their proposals for more regulation.

The polls leave out the little details like "Are you in favor of cleaner air achieved by regulations foisted on industry that will raise your cost of living by hundreds or thousands of dollars a year?"

If that was the question, you would suddenly find that most people think the air is just fine, thank you very much.

you know, this reminded me of somebody like that in my life.

He told me "There is no job too low to be Honoured, because eventually everything has to get done, from sweeping up to picking up dog poop, and scrubbing out the horse trailer. Sure training that champion colt is a great thing, but if you cant take care of him and make sure his stall is clean and hes fed right you wont ever get anywhere kid."

No truer words were ever said.

He believe it axiomatic that work sanctifies the worker. The worse the job the deeper you cut the notch in your belt. So, I am the master of lowly jobs and persistence. Of gross things.  Of doing things nobody wants to do, like scrubbing necrotic tissue and then wrapping the wound up again day after day. I have never ever felt better about myself or happier. I wish more lazy asses felt the same. Living a squared away life really is its own satisfaction. We really should teach more children that if they dont do their chores they dont get dinner. I think if you pound in the lesson work=nice things, food and life,  more people would be useful, even if just in small ways.

Jeffroi De Charny, a 14th C french knight (of all people!) said a great thing:
"Those who do more, are worth more."

Even if its just changing diapers. Perhaps especially if its doing those diapers.

115 20: The insurance company gets a $15K bill, but because of negotiated rates only pays $1500. The rest of the bill gets written off. Only the person who is unfortunate enough to not have insurance (and is not an illegal) is stuck with the full bill. I suspect that government regulation is causing them to bill everyone at the highest rate. But not everyone has to pay at that rate. ER's have to take real emergencies because of case law as much as anything. Courts have said that putting out a sign that says "Emergency" holds out the expectation that you will, at least, stabilize the patient. And that to send someone away costs them critical time the loss of which could cause irreparable harm.

134 And Ace's journey to the libertarian 'dark side' is now complete.

He's on, like, the pretty sunset side of it. Over here where the sun don't shine, we don't bother with pragmatic or even rational objections to statism, or its -ists. There's no argument, however elegant or tricky, that refutes being a monster.

Like, see here:

The real answer is "NO!," because the real answer is, "Look, sure I want other people to live better lives, but frankly, I don't care very much about that and I'm sure not paying for my own personal censor to scold me for making "bad" choices."

That's provably wrong. The ego may say NO!, but the id says FUCKIN' BRING IT!

Many variably designed experiments have repeatedly shown—and so has all of human history (and also because duh)—that in an artificial clean-hands environment (like politics), where your (monstrous, secret) wish is someone else's command (or, at least, not your responsibility), subjects almost universally value injury to others over non-injury to themselves. And the ones who don't value that just get gang-fucked to death by the rest.

Knowing that sort of thing doesn't help, of course. Because there's no help. But...

...

Yeah there's no but, either.

150 One of Washington's 50 Most Beautiful People has a bit of a staff problem:

Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s longtime fisheries adviser is heading to prison — for illegal fishing.

Arne Fuglvog, who was employed as a legislative assistant to Murkowski beginning in 2006, signed a plea agreement on April 8 confessing to violations of the Lacey Act. The act governs the sale of unlawfully captured wildlife.

Note that the advisor resigned Sunday but pleaded guilty back in April.  Also, the Daily Caller uses my favorite picture of her.

154 Many variably designed experiments have repeatedly shown—and so has all of human history (and also because duh)—that in an artificial clean-hands environment (like politics), where your (monstrous, secret) wish is someone else's command (or, at least, not your responsibility), subjects almost universally value injury to others over non-injury to themselves. And the ones who don't value that just get gang-fucked to death by the rest.

I started watching a movie called The Box, starring Cameron Diaz (ironic, I know), the other night. I had to run out so I couldn't finish it.

Frank Langella played some mysterious guy with a fucked up all burned up gross face who shows up at Diaz's house after sending this box out of the blue. You can treat a yew longbow for dry climate, it just takes some work, but,

even if you take good care of your bow, you are going to have a percentage that break, and replacing those broken bows would be a logistical nightmare since no yew grew naturally in the region, so, yeah sure, regionally for logistical reasons it would make sense to have an inferior weapon for long campaigns.

158 It should be noted, this crisis of progressives has little to nothing to do with anything conservatives have done.  Simply the progressive project got entitled, greedy, and overreached.  Thus they quickly bankrupted and discredit themselves.   They promised too much.

If around the year 2000, the government union train and welfare for inner city minorities could have been protected with little change, IFF they had shrunk college assistance and other middle class welfare.  Freeze immigration and anchor babies,  expanded natural resource (rich source of taxes and and important shrinker of trade deficits for a country with expensive employment).  Gone along with the Bush medicare reductions.  (they could have blamed him for it, while still keeping them solvent long term)   If they had more or less done all the things conservatives were saying back then,  they would still have a steady inflow of taxes to leech onto and draw a healthy amount from each month.  But instead they promised the sky to everyone and the checking account ran out.  Now everyone is left high and dry.

Undone by their own greed and stupidity just like all Marxist inspired movements before them.

168 "Another example of focusing on the sales pitch and not the sale itself."

But we're constantly hearing from the left that it's all about how to get their message out. If they can just get their message out to the public, then the public overwhelmingly will vote their way.

The Left has been saying this since Clinton.

Most people in America know through experience there is no free lunch. And that whatever the government does, someone's going to have to pay for it.

So if you ask anyone: should the government take care of the homeless? The answer is always "Yes", because the person answering that question thinks only of the special needs cases; people incapable of getting a job for either physical or mental reason.

Ask the same question with more detail: Should the government take care of the homeless, regardless of whether or not they are able to perform a useful function in society? The answer will always be "No".

Which leads to what I think is the most valuable conclusion in your piece, Ace:
"whether the public wants these things enough to pay for them with forcible extraction of payment through taxation, they are deliberately fooling themselves"

Fooling themselves into thinking their message isn't getting out, or not getting out properly. In addition, they are fooling themselves when they think they are the smartest kids in the room, and have managed to fool all us uneducated rightwingers.

They can't sell their product, because it can't sell itself.

Yeah, I guess I've just basically repeated what you said. I suppose I could have just said "agreed" and been done with it.

187 This is not how voters see it.

My only experience working for government (outside the Army Reserve / National Guard) was for a mostly rural county.

Based on my limited experience, everything above is spot on.  For the bureaucrat class, elected officials are a necessary nuisance to be manipulated, and the citizens sheep who need to be herded by their betters.

As individuals they were decent people, and worked fine with the citizenry on an individual basis, but on policy furthering the agenda of the department was top priority- the will of the voters or elected officials be damned.

They're ignorant because they have no idea about how single payers actually deny care in the real world. The point that Ace made earlier that dovetail's with this analysis is that every problem is sooooo simple to a lefty, "we'll just do it smarter," or something, that they're blessed (through a law degree or through hours of watching Jon Stewart) to tell people invested in an industry how to actually do the thing they're doing better.

221 If every company in this country would put in the workers paycheck stub summary at the end of the year exactly how much was diverted from that worker to the government in all forms of taxation, SS, medicare, unemployment and all of that including each worker have a share of the corporate taxes that are contributed to the government, I think we would be a lot angrier than we already are.  I ran a small business and the taxation is completely and totally out of control.  I liked to joke that I paid more taxes than GE.  The amount of money that was diverted from me and my workers to the government was outrageous.  My final calculation, before I closed the business because I couldn't afford the taxes and mandates, was that 7 of my hours out of every 8 hour day was working for the government.  I apologize as this post is neither funny nor sarcastic so quite out of place but I thought it relevant.  The problem is people don't have any concept of how much of your productivity the government has screwed out of you.  Income taxes only begin to tell the story and SS/medicare is just more money for the politicians to mess with.

226 #1 Yew was a composite material.

Not by itself it ain't.

Yes it is. They took a cut to make longbows that ran across the heartwood and regular wood junction in the trunk which had different deflex reflex characteristics. Basically a naturally formed junction of two different woods.

#2 Recurve = 10% energy gain at most.

So again. Advantage CR.

#3 Horseback = 60% draw weight loss. 40% limb length loss.

Where is that from?

The loss of balance due to moving on a horse and not having a solid plant for your feet that makes drawing a bow into a more limited muscle exercise confined mostly to the arms.

The limb loss comes from needing a shorter bow to maneuver over the neck of the horse side to side.

#4 Horses don't like arrows and are easy to hit at max range with a volley.

Are you telling me that given any random, pre-blackpowder battlefield you'd leave your horses at home?

No, but, mounted archers don't have as much punch as the real thing due to the lost bow performance. Their advantage was being able to control position on the battle field better as to always be in firing position against the enemy. Specifically infantry who couldn't shoot back. Horses at the time for direct fights were used as momentum weapons by cavalry more effectively than by mounted archers. I have no doubt that once within longbow range, regular archers would cut them down.

I have no problem with only having taxpayers voting, but in this particular case that means no taxes for rental properties, right?

No.  If you own property you pay taxes on it. Otherwise there'd be no incentive for adopting the progressive vote.

If you rent it, you pay taxes on the income generated from that arrangement, no?

If you own rental property in a county other than the county you reside in, you get a vote in that county as well.  Same goes for the individual States.

I pay taxes in five or six states, due to Real Estate and other Investments but get no representation there.  That's bullshit.

While I'm making up some new rules... ANY bennefits received from the State or Federal Gov't in excess of $10,000 (Food Stamps, Housing, WIC, whatever....) need to be taxed at the 'Gift' rate.

There was a horrible local story making the rounds.

A couple owned and operated an LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) store for 7 years in a small community of about 2500. In Ontario, you can only buy beer at the Beer Stores and liquor at the the Liquor stores.

They put $60,000 into the building over the last several years. They improved sales of one brand of beer higher than any store in the province.

It comes time to reapply to operate a store and another store nearby wins. The couple spend $50,000 in lawyer fees to get the LCBO to cough up the judging criteria and scores. On the application, the new people get all sorts of bonus points for stuff they propose to do where these people get nothing for what they've done. Three 'impartial' judges from Toronto apparently gave the stores the exact same grades.

The local paper editor wrote a scathing column about this. He tried to get the bureaucrats to get some answers but the bullies hid behind their mouthpiece who, in the words of the editor, 'found 17 nice ways to say 'Piss off'. A petition with 2000 signatures means nothing. The LCBO said the couple could sue, probably wouldn't win and would have to pay the LCBO's costs as well, another $150,000. The couple is just giving up after spending $50,000.

Infuriating. I don't know if I mention it enough, but I REALLY loathe this province, I can't wait to leave and this being California north (over $200 Billion in debt for 11 million people), I can't wait for the cleansing fire.

Aside from our military, and the good people out in Alberta, I have no love or pride for what Canada has become.

I'll take this one further.  Does Jim actually believe he has a right to another man or woman's labor, (doctors, nurses)?  And if so, where is the origin of the debt on that?  If I sit down at a restaurant and order a meal I've just indebted myself to the restaurant owner.  Where is the origin of debt as it applies to a doctor earning less because the government makes the rules?  Don't believe me?  Take a look at Medicare.

Anyone that hates the subway, can't afford cabs all the time, and isn't able to walk or bike to wherever they need for a variety of reasons. Dense cities make life possible without cars, but there are still plenty of situations where people really want or need them for very practical reasons. It's why being 100% anti or pro car is unreasonable.

Every time I said I was against obamacare people gave me that terrible PC look and said "you are doing fine, don't you care about the poor and the people who don't have anything?"  Of course I care about the poor, that's not the point.  In fact, having recently visited an emergency room with a friend and seeing the chaos first hand I rather think I care about the poor more.  I would have preferred to buy poor families insurance rather than muck up an already excellent system.  I keep saying to my friends where is the scalpel I was promised?  Where is the judicious cutting?  Where is the thorough examination of cutting?  Where have all the lobbyists gone that he planned to throw out of DC, I know one who just bought a bentley outright, with "extra cash".  I ask them why a guy who was going to use strategic attacks just simply blew everything that was working up?   they tell me they can believe the kind of person I'm becoming, selfish and uninterested in the country, unpatriotic, in fact.  It's sad really sad.  I've had the conversation now a lot and the response is robotically the same.

No, they don't.  They pay rent.  The renter pays taxes.  Just because you buy something at a store doesn't mean you pay the store

If you don't pay the rent, the state doesn't necessarily get to place a lien on the property.  Only when the property owner fails to pay the taxes does that happen.

When the property owner defaults on the taxes and the state takes the property you don't have any rights as the renter, do you?

390 #256 The crisis of progressivism is that the current trajectory you mention is unsustainable. We will never get to government spending 40% of GDP. And that assumes basically no new government programs, and progressives LIVE for new programs. There is always some great need that isn't being met, some group that is being discriminated against and needs subsidies, some new environmental crisis that demands billions more dollars to be thrown at it. But we're all out of other people's money to pay for any more of that shit. And they know it. It's ALL going to get sucked up to pay for Grandma's vacation home and vacations and her Cadillac health care.

443 398 It originally started out as an emergency only phone program that could only dial 911. It may still be that way in some states, not sure.

Any US market cell phone will dial 911 without a SIM card, or the chip that the other cell providers use, inserted.  This is any phone, prepaid, contract, etc. That's why battered women's shelters and other domestic abuse centers are always accepting donated old cell phones. There's no need for any kind of free prepaid minutes or calling plans, the phones themselves already have the 911 functionality.

Try taking a SIM card out of a phone and turning it on, the screen should say something like "emergency only" indicating that the phone will only dial 911.

457 Trump repeatedly said that he would run today if the republicans put up the wrong person and it sure looks like they will.

heard someone ask guiliani if he will run today and he didn't say no.

I dared to criticize the chosen one, Sarah Palin and the other chosen one, mittens romney care, so you their cult followers feel you have to trounce me.  It's fascinating actually.  Oh and I also said maybe perry flies in texas but he won't fly in the rest of the country.

Oddly enough you guys buy into the unproven, particularly Sarah Palin who gave up in the middle of her governorship.  And mittens romneycare who uses his "but I had a democratic legislature routine, adding that he's proud of his massachusettes healthcare debacle, aka romneycare.  And some of you want to shove another texas governor down the throats of the nation.  the scariest comments concern the fact that perry has "nice hair".

why not try a proven leader, a trump, a guiliani, a bolton, someone who has actually accomplished something, someone who might have a scintilla of a chance to actually fix this mess and won't panic?  Heck, Ron Paul would be better than the three stooges you guys keep touting.  Even folks like anne coulter see the paucity in the current crop, she's begging Christie to run.  You guys want another John McCain, someone who will in the middle of the campaign endorse their opponent.

You are asking me questions?  Demanding my age?  Yet I'm having the few conservative friends I have read some of your comments and they are saying to me that some of you haven't got a legitimate conservative bone in your body and, in fact, might be part of Ax's blog squad.

Some of you better do a little thinking cause if we don't have someone to come in and do clean up and fast we are in for a bumpy ride.  Funny Paul Ryan the darling of some of  you guys was roundly criticized by trump today for coming in with a plan before the president did and actually covering for the president.  Just like trump basically said today this bill handed BO a second term and negotiations were totally mishandled.  And I'm the one you call psycho and stupid.

Posted by: curious at August 03, 2011 06:30 PM (k1rwm)
