"For our very survival, it is absolutely imperative that informed citizens be aware of this dramatic change, which is just now starting. The powerful new science and engineering must be controlled and used for humanity's benefit, not its detriment. Else it will eventually be let loose unrestrainedly, to destroy all life on earth - a possibility indicated by Nikita Khrushchev in 1960." - Bearden. "If Bearden is correct in his Scalar EM theory, then we can build devices which would enable us to alter gravity, time, inertia, and the apparent mass of an object."

In any case, my current feeling is that any politician who advocates for crap and tax now is politically dead except for a few hard core communists and insane eco-tards.

Chernobyl
Bearden believes that the Chernobyl disaster "was almost certainly caused by an accidental catastrophic failure of a large TR Woodpecker transmitter about 30 kilometers away", where the device in question generated "giant electrogravitational standing waves". He claims the official story of the meltdown was fabricated by the Soviets after the fact.
I have spoken with people who were there at the time of the event. He is full of shit.

Again, we have no evidence of that. Especially within the Soviet nuclear submarine fleet, for example. It has to be some sort of ELECTROGRAVITATIONAL STANDING WAVE (WTF?) that only affects nuclear reactors with no containment vessel, black starlings and drum fish. Next up: Starbucks cappucino machines and meerkats. Technological progress is a staircase, not an elevator.

Ultimately everyone points to that the only way criticality was stopped was due to breakdown of core geometry (it blew up) because as their moderator got hotter, it became a better moderator. But that isn't the whole story.

Oh they knew full well that the design had inherent control problems. There were a number of operating limitations and safety precautions that were supposed to offset those bad design problems.
All of those procedures, as well as a few of the safety systems, went out the window by order of the apparatchiks running the show.
And I don't know that I would call the design "dumb". A better term would be "ill advised". It was designed to be cheap to build and cheap to operate.

Bastards:
On the campaign stump, in books, speeches and nationally-televised commercials, aspiring GOP White House candidates such as Tim Pawlenty, Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney have warned in recent years about the threats from climate change and pledged to limit greenhouse gases. Some have even committed the ultimate sin, endorsing the controversial cap-and-trade concept that was eventually branded “cap and tax.”

Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour’s remarks cited by Politico reflect the need for a quick tutorial on the green jobs snake oil — it’s ok to saddle the economy with higher electricity prices if we make the solar panels in Mississippi.

If you can get a copy of it see if you can find the INPO Case Study for it. The criticality did not stop because the core "blew up". It stopped after they dumped tons of boron into the top of the vessel through the roof. Also killed the helicopter pilots from lethal exposure.

PS-you can stop paying rent for 2 years in NYC before eviction papers are served? Is that true?
An agent for the building's owners at 325 W. 45th St. in Hell's Kitchen yesterday scoffed at reports that Vangelis "Angelo" Kapatos, 26, was the victim of a greedy landlord who was callously tossing him out of his pad.
If anything, building agent Jacques Michaane said, Kapatos is a deadbeat who deserves to be on the street.
"The guy is a nut job," Michaane told The Post. "He's an idiot because
he tried to commit suicide and he failed. He's a danger to himself and a
danger to everybody else.

Morning, all, and a belated happy new year! Hopefully it will be better than the last one.
Question: my parents got a new standing lamp for Christmas, and it came with one of the Murder Bulbs (aka, the kind with mercury). Needless to say, the stupid bulb was broken before they even took the lamp out of the box, which isn't all that important because of our secret stash of normal, non-Murder Bulbs. The bulb itself is all self contained in a little box of its own, but now my dad doesn't know what to do with it. We both thought it would be a nice symbolic gesture to mail it to one of our legislators -- probably Shaheen, since our two idiot Democrat House Critters, Hodes and Shea-Porter, are being kicked to the curb this week. But the thing is, would the gubmint then send MIBs to our door to arrest my dad for "sending hazardous chemicals through the mail"? What do y'all think he should do? Dispose of it properly (heaven only knows how we'd do that in my little town, though I'm sure there's some kind of mercury Murder Bulb disposal policy on the books somewhere), or make it somebody else's problem?

Authorities are searching for clues in the murder of John P. Wheeler, a military expert and aide to President Reagan and both Bush administrations, whose body turned up in a Delaware landfill. NBCÂ’s Pete Williams reports.
A military expert who served three Republican presidents and helped get the Vietnam Veterans Memorial built was found dead in a landfill. Authorities were trying to piece together when he was last seen alive.
The body of John Wheeler III, 66, was uncovered Friday when a garbage truck emptied its contents at the Cherry Island landfill in Wilmington. The truck had collected the trash from about 10 commercial disposal bins in Newark, several miles from Wheeler's home in the historic district of New Castle, but police said they aren't sure which container his body came from.

Thousands of dead birds have fallen from the sky and more than 100,000 dead fish have been washed up on the shore in one U.S. state.
In scenes reminiscent of a horror film, up to 2,000 blackbirds dropped to the ground in the city of Beebe, Arkansas, just before midnight on New YearÂ’s Eve.
At the same time, thousands of fish were swept up on the shore of the Arkansas River in the north-west part of the state.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Most Americans think the United States should raise taxes for the rich to balance the budget, according to a 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll released on Monday.
Sixty-one percent of Americans polled would rather see taxes for the wealthy increased as a first step to tackling the deficit, the poll showed.
The next most popular way -- chosen by 20 percent -- was to cut defense spending.

Love this bit from the article, too:
"He hates his life," said Jessica Parker of Hammonton, NJ, who dated him for about a year until early 2010.
"He's always talked about ending it," she said. "He would say he should never have been born."
Kapatos' aunt was furious at Parker's comments, saying, "I don't know why she would say that."
Um, possibly because it's true? Hence why he spent most of December in Bellevue? Hence why he tried to commit suicide by jumping from his apartment window? Bueller? Bueller? Any of this getting through?
The aunt, Katharina Capatos, who lives a floor below her nephew and spells her name differently, blamed Kapatos' troubles on the eviction threat and the fact that both his parents are ailing and in nursing homes.
So, he's your nephew, he lives on the floor above you, and you're angry he's being evicted? Before you get all indignant, how about you let him live with you? Shouldn't family look after family? Or you could pay his damn rent. Or you could admit that you don't want your "mentally disturbed" nephew living with you.
Suicidal thoughts and actions are nothing to joke about, and I would like this man to get the help he needs to turn his life around. But that doesn't include letting him stay in apartment for the rest of his life rent-free. Maybe ship him up to Boston; he can room with Auntie Zetuni.

Oct. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Some of Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner's closest aides, none of whom faced Senate confirmation, earned millions of dollars a year working for Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Citigroup Inc. and other Wall Street firms, according to financial disclosure forms.
The advisers include Gene Sperling, who last year took in $887,727 from Goldman Sachs and $158,000 for speeches mostly to financial companies, including the firm run by accused Ponzi scheme mastermind R. Allen Stanford. Another top aide, Lee Sachs, reported more than $3 million in salary and partnership income from Mariner Investment Group, a New York hedge fund.
Sperling and Sachs are each paid $162,900 at the Treasury. Along with four others, they hold the title of counselor to Geithner. Sachs, 46, withdrew earlier this year from consideration to be the TreasuryÂ’s top domestic finance official, a job that would have required Senate confirmation.
So crooked Barry and his crooked Wall Street pals just do an end round the law to get these appointments. Meanwhile the MFM keeps bleeting the same mantra that it's the Republicans who are in bed with Wall Street

As I suspected, it was not at all a professional poll - they asked questions like "what do you think of the type of movies nowadays?" and "what do you think comes after a trillion?" Just dumb shit like that. Also there is no mention of partisan breakdown of the respondents (i.e., that means it skews heavily to the left). For the raising-taxes question, the choices offered were:
- Raise taxes
- Cut defense
- Cut Medicare
- Cut Social Security
So it's no surprise that the first two options were the most popular because the last two options are translated into "cut something that you like". No mention of cutting Dept. of Ed, the EPA, etc., etc.
It's a dumb poll and deserves to be ignored.

On Wednesday the new speaker of the House of Representatives plans to offer a package of rule changes that, he says, will give minority-party members more of a say and decentralize power.
The Republicans won't always be in power in Congress, and decentralizing the power of the Speaker of the House to give the minority party more power would (hopefully) prevent another onslaught of Nancy goddamn Pelosi and her enormous gavel running roughshod over the Constitution. That said, it would be the work of a moment for a future Speaker to just undo whatever rule changes Boehner and the Repubs put in place, so it's a moot point. It's just Boehner's attempt to "reach across the aisle" and not be seen as an obstructionist. To which I reply, OBSTRUCT, DAMMIT, OBSTRUCT.
I definitely don't support such action NOW. There are too many things that need to get done, and get done quickly -- repeal of Obamacare being first and foremost -- for the 'pubs to start acting all wishy-washy. They are the Party of Wishy Washy, dammit. They need some damn backbone.

Both of them are so slimy that if they served in Viet Nam, they should consider themselves fortunate that they weren't shot by their own men.
That whole brouhaha about the Enterprise tapes is so sophomoric that it reminded me of fraternity pranks, harmless letting off of steam that should in no way jeopardize a naval officer's career.

AIR FORCE ONE – Ending a two-week vacation, President Barack Obama is appealing to newly-empowered Republicans to resist jockeying for the White House in 2012 and work with him to get the economy growing and the jobless back to work.
Facing anything but a political soft landing after his holiday stay in Hawaii, Obama told reporters en route to the capital Tuesday that he understands Republicans, who recaptured the House in last fall's elections, "are going to play to their base for a certain period of time."

Boehner is an idiot. Newsflash asshole: you were put there because people are pissed with what the old congress passed as laws, not because of how you were treated when you were in the minority.

Coincidence? I think not. It "was almost certainly caused by an accidental catastrophic failure of a large TR Woodpecker transmitter about 30 kilometers away", where the device in question generated "giant electrogravitational standing waves." I have begun preparations to protect my family and myself. I suggest you all do the same. It's only a matter of time before these waves become self-perpetuating and shake apart the foundations of our society. If you think that EMP is bad, just wait! You'll see. I am correct! Ignore me at your peril!

97 Well my take on it is that when there's a giant fish kill specific to just one species of fish, you can be pretty sure that it's a virus.
It could also be a bacterium. Certain species are also more sensitive to low levels of dissolved oxygen, so when the BOD hits a certain level you get a single species die off. I suppose one species might also be particularly sensitive to a specific toxin or cocktail of toxins.
Single species fish die offs are most often caused by a low oxygen level, but they also typically occur during warm weather. Sewage, agricultural runoff or something else gets into the water, the microbes in the water eat it all up, consuming oxygen at the same time. Then the fish species most sensitive to low oxygen levels die en masse. It usually happens during warmer weather, however, when microbe respiration is greater.

Arne Duncan editorial in yesterday's WaPo:
School reform: A chance for bipartisan governingIt's really quite a masterpiece of saying absolutely nothing while making it sound like everything people want to hear.
This is my favorite part:
Finally, almost no one believes the teacher quality provisions of NCLB are helping elevate the teaching profession, or ensuring that the most challenged students get their fair share of the best teachers. More and more, teachers, parents, and union and business leaders want a real definition of teacher effectiveness based on multiple measures, including student growth, principal observation and peer review.
OH PLEASE. Parents, yes. Business leaders, yes. Even teachers -- the genuinely good ones who care about the kids -- yes. I can see all of those groups having a vested interest in making sure teachers are effective (I'm not going to get into the fact that the curricula these teachers are teaching is at best mediocre, PC bullshit -- that's another story all together). But union leaders? Seriously? Maybe they wouldn't mind measures for teacher effectiveness, so long as they're kept under lock and key like health records so that no one ever knows what they say, but they sure as hell don't want schools to be able to FIRE a teacher JUST because he or she isn't effective. Perish the thought!
My personal theory is that teachers suck so much these days because of the whole "Become a Teacher!" push that has been dominating the career opportunities discussions in schools at least since I was in school, and I graduated HS in 1998. Teachers are always in short supply, so more and more kids are encouraged to pursue a degree that can be translated into a teaching position after college. And kids do it, because they know they're more or less guaranteed employment.
The problem IS, not everyone is cut out for teaching. So instead of having a core, solid group of individuals who choose to pursue elementary and secondary teaching positions out of a love of learning or a genuine desire to work with children, you have a whole bunch of uninspired, dispassionate "educators" who only want to get through the workday like every other average Joe. Yeah, THOSE "teachers" are going to take the extra time to help Billy understand his weaknesses in algebra, or talk to Suzy about her problems with bullies. Right. Sure. Whatever.
The same career push applies to the nursing profession, but with a caveat. If you choose to pursue a nursing career, you KNOW you're going to have to work in ugly, messy situations; it's not all thermometers under the tongue and checking for lice. There's going to be blood, there's going to be vomit, there's going to be every nasty bodily excretion imaginable. But people go into teaching because they figure it's just saying words to students. BIG mistake. There's a hell of a lot more to teaching than that, and by the time they figure that out, they're miserable.
What's the cliche? You're only as strong as the weakest link in the chain? Well, the teaching chain is so weak at this point, it's more or less useless.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Republicans in the new Congress could put the budget squeeze on two powerful regulatory agencies to slow President Barack Obama's crackdown on Wall Street.
A Democratic-controlled Congress pushed through the Dodd-Frank bank reform laws last year and regulators were counting on a big budget boost to police the $600 trillion over-the-counter derivatives market -- blamed for much of the excess behind the 2007-2009 financial crisis.

California outlaws maliciously impersonating others online
If you live in California and make a habit of posing as others online, you might want to think twice. In an attempt to cut down on cyberbullying, California Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed a new law that makes such an action a misdemeanor. The law specifically targets those acting maliciously, but critics worry that those who do it in jest or for activism could be targeted too easily.
Originally introduced by senator Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto) in February of this year, the bill (SB 1411) makes it a crime to falsely and "credibly" impersonate someone in either a private or official capacity. The action must be for the purpose of harming, intimidating, threatening, or defrauding the person in question, and the penalties would include a fine of up to $1,000 and up to one year in jail. In addition to criminal penalties, the accused personator may also face civil actions brought on behalf of the victim.
The bill was passed unanimously and, according to Simitian, is meant to bring California's 1872 impersonation law up to date with the brave new world of social networking. "E-personation is the dark side of the social networking revolution. ItÂ’s quick. ItÂ’s easy. And itÂ’s a misuse of the technology," Simitian said in a statement. "A 19th century law is no deterrent for 21st century impersonators. A new law is needed to address this form of harassment."
The law goes into effect at the beginning of 2011, and critics say it could have a chilling effect on free speech. A group that does impersonations of corporations for the purpose of activism, Yes Men, told IDG that "political cronies" could use the law to attack those trying to expose information to the public through parody. The Electronic Frontier Foundation has also expressed concern that such a law could easily be used to "squelch political speech" and described the bill as "dangerous."
I'm proud to have signed this law. Now please excuse me while I put on some pretty cotton knee-socks and toe dance around the room.
-Arnold Schwarzenegger

The infant, a twin, weighed less when he died on Dec. 23 than he did at birth, and had nothing in his belly, Cooney said. An autopsy concluded that he died of both starvation and dehydration.
Williams and her six children had been living at the Traveler's Aid shelter in West Philadelphia since September. She had nearly completed a 90-day program, funded by the city, to help her with parenting skills. Her last session was Dec. 21, according to Richard Gitlen, executive director of Lutheran Children and Family Service, which had a city contract to run the program.

"Dumb" used to mean the same thing as "mute". Then people started referring to people who were too stupid to speak as "dumb" and it gradually became a synonym for "stupid". Kind of the way "gay" used to mean "happy".

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

Well now right here is the problem. The term "Dumb" means unable to speak.
So most deaf people were unable to speak, if they were born deaf. Unttil someone like Helen Keller came along.
So what is the alternative "terms"? Hearing and Speech impaired?

What the Dallas County has is a DA who's hot to free convicts. He's so in bed with The Innocence Project, he should be asking for regular steak dinners IYKWIM.
And no scientist will tell you they could get a DNA match at 400,000 years- they can isolate a lot of things, but not to the level of evidence required in a criminal trial.
The thing is, the stuff I heard makes me wonder if he really was convicted wrongfully- it's possible, certainly, but there is no way DNA evidence can exonerate anyone. It is an inclusive-only piece of evidence. That is, it can't say someone wasn't there, only that they were. We had a big dust up with Ace about this very thing (also a Texas inmate) a couple of months ago.
And I really doubt they were considering DNA evidence in Dallas County in 1979- whatever the Dallas DA says. DNA Evidence wasn't even really known back then, it wasn't until the 90's that it started being accepted as evidence in trial, and not until the mid 90's that laypersons were informed enough about it to trust DNA evidence and the Experts who presented it at trial.

That's another question... why was it the people in Clue were so dumb? I mean, it's not like a lead pipe, a candle stick, a knife, or a rope would leave a gunshot wound, and not the rope nor any of the blunt objects would leave stabbing wounds. I suppose you could tie the rope into a monkey's-fist and beat someone to death with it, but really, you couldn't tell by the type of wound what weapon was used?

So what is the alternative "terms"? Hearing and Speech impaired?

I think it's more about people's modern knowledge of older terminology. Today, the first thing a person hears when they hear "dumb" is "stupid," not "mute." Just like the first thing anyone thinks when they hear "asylum" is "madhouse," not "refuge." Anyone who's read a few books knows that "dumb" also means "mute," but there are so many liberals lying around, getting in people's way and generally making a nuisance of themselves, that most folks don't pay attention to dictionary definitions. So I can understand not wanting to label people who are mute as "dumb," even if it's a completely legitimate term, just because there are a lot of genuinely stupid people who would assume "deaf and dumb" means "deaf and stupid."
Which really leads back to my original question: how long until "dumbstruck" is considered a negative PC term, on par with "retarded"? And when the hell are we going to start demanding that Nigeria change it's name because it contains allusions to the evil N-word? And come to think of it, all those romance languages? French, Spanish, Italian? Start changing the names of your colors RIGHT NOW, because "negro" might mean "black" in Spanish, but it means RACISSSSSSSST in English.
*cough* I'm apparently on an anti-PC binge this morning. My apologies.

What if your rape/murder evidence in the 1970s-80s included a swab test of the vagina for serotype, which does not exclude the defendant? In such a case, it would be used to say that the defendant has the same type and would be a factor in conviction. Yes, I doubt DNA testing was done for this trial back in the 70s-80s.
Whereas DNA evidence is conclusive beyond a reasonable doubt. At the very least, not being tied by the DNA evidence throws that entire line of argument out, resulting in a minimum of a need for a new trial.
It's probably true that the current DA has a sympathetic ear. Yet I also know that other exonerated defendants had DNA tests pointing directly to a different person, found in their criminal DNA database from other crimes.
I'm of the opinion that being wrongly incarcerated is probably near the top of the cruelest thing the State can do to a person.

Hallelujah! You are preaching to the choir.
The evolution and study of language has always interested me. Heh, when I was in college one of my courses dealt with persuasive rhetoric, and one of the classes focused on so-called "God words." God words are those terms that are considered inviolate in the social consciousness. Calling them into question or straying from their traditionally established narratives are good ways to get yourself shunned in "polite" society. This would be along the lines of someone using the term "Nazi" in a positive manner ("Oooh, that dress she's wearing is awesome. It's so NAZI!"). When my professor asked for examples, NO ONE else in the room (there were about 20 of us, all seniors) offered any, so I gave him a laundry list:
Affirmative action
Feminism
Global Warming
Etc, etc
The looks on my classmates' faces were PRICELESS. It was pretty obvious that none of them had ever even considered that there could be more than one side to any of those ideas. Which, considering we were all going to be graduating and heading out into the workforce within a year, was a pretty depressing thought. That was back in 2001/2002, though - since then, this old slew of "God words" has been replaced with newer, sexier terms.

Husband and I are sound asleep. At 8:00 a.m. the doorbell rang. WTF? D'oh goes to the door and a strange acting young woman asks him his name. He tells her, and asks her name. She answers "Ashley". I stagger down the hall in my favorite pink jammies with yellow ducks, and see the woman as she points to our Christmas flag flying at the front of the house, and demands to know, "What is the significance of that flag?" D'oh tells her, "It's a Christmas Santa flag." Then he tells her she woke us and bids her goodbye.
You can't even see the flag from the street, as our house sits back a good way. She had to walk all the way up our drive to get a half-way decent look at what it was.

I think you're missing what I'm saying.
Let's turn this around: if, now, 31 years after the fact, the DA had said: "whoops, we just re-tested the DNA and got a match to [New Suspect]," his Forensics lab would say: "no we didn't. At least, not with enough certainty to take it trial." If he tried to force the issue, then whichever of them drew the short straw and had to take the stand would be demolished on cross when they had to say "Well, the sample is from 1979, and we didn't really know a whole lot about preserving DNA back then..." and the evidence would either be thrown out by the judge or largely ignored by the jury.
Also, you can't say he wasn't there, just because he wasn't nice enough to leave any DNA that you found. 1) It could have been there any the officer at the time just missed it (it happens). 2) People wear gloves and assorted other accouterments for a variety of reasons, and sometimes a happy (for them) accident is that it also prevents leaving behind any testable DNA.
Let's say a woman is raped and goes to police. The cops scrape her fingernails and find skin there. There is nothing, necessarily, that says that skin is from her attacker. He could have worn clothing preventing him from getting scratched, for instance, or bound her so she couldn't scratch him. That would require some other explanation for the skin, but it would not exclude anyone as a suspect. (Yes, if she says she scratched him, and they find a guy with scratches on his face, arms, &c. that would include him very strongly, but just the existence of DNA evidence doesn't, by itself, exclude anyone).
The point here is that DNA isn't really evidence, any more than a bloody rag is evidence, out of context. There are lots of reasons people have rags with blood on them around the house. My dad has several- they're mostly for cleanup around the workshop/garage, but when he cuts himself he'll use the closest thing he can find to hold against the cut until he gets inside to wash it and put on a bandage. If there's only a little blood (ie: it's not completely soaked) then he keeps it: no reason not to.
So, without knowing more than what was reported (what evidence was entered at trial, what testimony was given, etc.) I can't say if he was wrongly convicted or not. What I can say, with certainty, was the DNA evidence did not "prove" that he didn't do it- it only proved that he wasn't the one who left that particular piece of DNA.

Yeah, the caller who told the lady to stuff her mandate since he'd never had an accident and drives responsibly. Her response, he can't guarantee he'll never have an accident. AS IF her mandated gimmick will guarantee he'll never have an accident.

But ultimately it passed after his bribe campaign contribution.
Jim DeMint – R SC – Bribe For: $149,935 – Against: $5,000It passed with unanimous consent. Funny that.

I'm confuzzled. This list says DeMint didn't vote for it.

Specifically to annoy appointment secretaries who have to look up information in computerized databases, and have to sift through a zillion different spellings of the name "Catherine" before they get the right person.
SEC'Y: Okay, ma'am, may I have your first and last name?
CALLER: Catherine Smith
SEC'Y: *after finding three dozen variations of "Catherine Smith" in the patient database* Do you spell your first name with a C or a K, ma'am?
CALLER: K.
SEC'Y: Is that "K-A-T-H-E-R-I-N-E," or "K-A-T-H-R-Y-N"?
CALLER: Actually, it's K-A-T-U-R-Y-H-N.
SEC'Y: *sigh* Of course it is.
*sets up appointment*
*Caller hangs up*
*Phone rings again*
SEC'Y: Hello, ACME Botanical Spa, how may I direct your call?
MALE CALLER: I need to set up an appointment.
SEC'Y: Okay, sir, I can do that for you. May I have your name?
MALE CALLER: Cedric Johnson.
SEC'Y: And are you currently a member of the spa's loyalty program?
MALE CALLER: Yep.
SEC'Y: *searching* I'm sorry, sir, I can't find your name in the system. How do you spell it?
MALE CALLER: J-O-H-N-S-O-N.
SEC'Y: *still searching* Still no luck, sir. *gets a bad feeling* Sir, how do you spell your first name?
MALE CALLER: C-H-E-A-D-R-I-C-K.
SEC'Y: *sigh* Of course you do.

390 Maybe there was a time travel experiment and someone killed a bird in the past, and then X amount a years later into the present day all the future generations spawned by that one bird all died at once because they technically don't exist anymore. It would explain how it was just one species of bird.
I like the cut of your jib, sir.

There were actually two votes, one in Nov and one in Dec. In Nov DeMint voted against cloture and against the bill after cloture was achieved. The bill was passed but had to go back to the House.
It was amended again in the House to exempt small farms and sent back to the Senate. Once the small farms were exempted they passed it via voice vote, unanimous meaning no record of votes.
DeMint simply ceased fighting against it.

HA. HA. That one I can see.
Though it makes me wonder about all the REAL Mike Hunts out there (you know they exist). They must have REALLY been teased in school.
One last odd name story. My co-worker's best friends have the last name "Trout." Their first child was a daughter, and they named her "Brooke."
Put it together.

You mean I'd have to share a pair of sunglasses?
Why?
Are they super expensive or something?
Why not just get two pair of less expensive sunglasses, one for him and one for her?
That way, both of us can look in the same direction without one of us having to squint.
