House Majority Leader Cantor: ObamaÂ’s Jobs Package is Dead
Well after the Senate Dems said it was dead there did we need Cantor saying its dead in the House? It was nothing but a political ploy to begin with.

This why I keep saying these kinds of bills are nothing but pabulum for the masses
If you want to halt the EPA you will have to do it through a funding bill. Anything other than is PR rhetoric. What happened to the 2010 strategy? Oh crying Boner, never mind.

I posted this yesterday when it was announced, here it is for those who missed it
South Carolina moves its primary to Jan. 21
However the first paragraph of the story here is a lie.
South Carolina Republicans will move their primary up to Jan. 21, making them the first domino to fall after Florida moved its date up to Jan. 31 last Friday and pushing the other early-voting states to schedule their dates even earlier in the month.
The SC GOP actually coordinated this move with the other early States. They should be announcing soon.

Romney doesn't need Kommie Wallace to step on his dick
That is assuming he has a dick.
Even as Romney is joining the rock nontroversy Cain is walking his statement back
I know a lot of y’all hate him but EE over at Red State is calling this “Shrodinger’s Rock” because some people see it and some don’t. My feeling there is if we turn over the rock to look will it blow up the Washington Post? Why have we seen no pictures of this infamous rock? Surely something so heinous that it has been touted by every newspaper and TV talking head in the country for almost a week is deserving of at least one lousy picture!

ADA runs afoul of Church-State issues
Every day we see another reason why this stupid law should be repealed. Noticed that the Obamanites are not “throwing” this case.

The Washington Post has a lot of political shit this morning. Every bit of it is dedicated to bashing Perry including a new WP/ABC poll that has him dropping to 3rd place. I am not going to link to any of this shit and remember just how good “news polls” are.

"China or the US? Make Your Choice" by Gideon Rachman, FT
In a nutshell, by 2020, China will be the world's largest economy. Rather than exercising patience, China is strong-arming their most favored trade nations around the Pacific, nations that yet rely on US Military assistance. And though the US is presently the world's dominant military power with a preeminent military force in the Pacific Ocean, since the US political and military power track economic power, the US hegemony in the Pacific Ocean is ultimately unsustainable. China's younger generation is preemptive nationalist, believing that China was victimized* while weak. Given the economic contrast now between China and the US, nationalism is increasingly assertive. Before Mr. Obama hosts November's Pacific powers at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in Hawaii, he needs to visit Pearl Harbor to remember the dangers of strategic miscalculations in the Pacific.

I bring technological DOOM! this chilly morning. Click on my handle to see only a few of the things this administration is doing to insure prevent your GPS system from working. This has ramifications that go from your smartphone all the way to military aircraft. Wonderful.
And that's not all I found. Test results that will curl your hair, political arm-twisting, and a surprise appearance from George Soros.
This LightSquared thing stinks on ice. But that doesn't stop this stuttering clusterfuck of a miserable failure of an administration from thinking it's the best thing since sliced bread.
Oh, and good mornin', y'all.

All we hear from China is what a juggernaut they are, but we know there are empty cities and fleets of cars nobody is using. We aren't getting the real story.
I would say the likelihood is great that China collapses by 2020. Long-term, their idiotic one-child policy will do them in.

The "early states" are the simpleton fucksticks that gave us McCain in 2008. I thought Reince Priebus was supposed to be about making the Republican party more competitive? He looks like another gutless Repuke that just bends over for those dogshit states that should go to the end of the fucking line.

Combine that with the Kommie Wallace relentless attacks and it make you wonder. Could it be that ll of this falls in place as build up Cain because it hurts Perry, attack Cain to make sure he remains a fringe candidate through stupid remarks. And have all the other talking heads push Romney.

Because sheÂ’s been vetted.

I thought he lost Iowa. But anyway, the States didn't give us McCain. It was the stupid winner take all rules that gave him the win. 70% of the primary voters voted against him and he still won.
Guess what, it will be worse this time.

A campaign season that began with such promise is now going to be reduced to a choice between which candidate can keep from stepping on his own dick the least.
Wonderful.
Instead of focusing their attention on the SCOAMF, they keep bashing each other. That'll help, won't it?
How about letting the voters know what you intend to do to stop this lurch to the left we've been led on against our will? Do that and your poll numbers rise accordingly. Why is that so hard to do?

Posted by: Vic at October 04, 2011 03:24 AM (M9Ie6)
McCain was still winning pluralities of the votes in the states where the other guys weren't. The reason McCain won was that Romney sucked, Huckabee pardoned a thousand people, and McCain was an early advocate of the Surge strategy. Early 2008 was about foreign policy cred for the most part since the major issue was Iraq.

And having two knobs for tuning in channels - one for VHF and one for UHF - why did they have to go? I used to love twiddling the UHF knob for hours at a time, trying to get a channel there to come in juuuusst right.
Oh, the fun the missus and I had competing to see who could tune in a station chosen at random the fastest. After a vigorous bout of about a half dozen channels each, she'd give me that "come hither" look and coo, "I think we can occupy ourselves in a more rousing manner; can't you, Randy Ooney?" Well, suffice it to say that hunting sweater puppies is a trick this old dog won't ever unlearn!
Is it too much to ask those smartypants digitalists to provide retro features like these? Call such an offering the "Cronkite Line", just to give it the same touch of panache my good friend Walter brought to the medium. Do it for the families ... and the resulting children!

Refreshingly, Cain calls it like he sees it. Just like when Cain called Obama a liar when asked about Obama's "math"' quote, Cain was asked his response to N-head and he gave it. He shouldn't have walked away with "no comment" because that would be misconstrued by twisted minds as being an Uncle Tom dhimmi simpleton. Perry's past isn't Cain's, and Perry's problems are his own. It's not Cain's fault that Perry's family didn't immediately remove the N-head on first sight. And Cain isn't to blame for the racist media/FOX/ChrisW. exploits.
Unlike candidates who use mirror poll illusions to con viewers with their own set of expectations, Cain uses logic and successful experience to construct his business plan for America's economic recovery. What America makes of that now is where we are. I'm not holding my breath.

Good morning, Vic.
Romney is dead to me. As is Cain.
It's frightening as heck to think Newt is my backup at this stage of the game. If Perry continues to wither under the attacks, we're screwed. Dammit, I wish Paul Ryan had decided to run.
I will vote for Christie if Perry falls out of it. It wouldn't make me unhappy at all, but I'm a dirty Northeastern RINO. But I don't think he'd pull enough of the base to win. I still think Perry is our best chance.

No. That's lovely. Is it a new hash?
I'm betting you would not vote for Christie given some of his policies, but would you, like me, love to see him daisy chain Mittster in a few debates?
Posted by: Y-not loves racist rocks and Hank Williams at October 04, 2011 07:47 AM (5H6zj)
As I said earlier, Christie is a morbidly obese Romney. I would like to see a debate though. everyone says he is so great at those comebacks but they haven't been in one of these screwed up debate formats.
Oh, yes the hash is new.

Wallace Jefferson, the first black chief justice of the Texas Supreme Court, said the hunting ranch name controversy is "much ado about nothing" and argued the implication that Rick Perry is insensitive to matters of race is flatly wrong. Jefferson, who was appointed to the post by Perry, and whose great-great-great-grandfather was a slave owned by a Waco district judge, said the reality is quite the opposite: Perry "appreciates the role diversity plays in our state and nation."
Jefferson said he can recall his first conversation with Perry, in 2001, like it was yesterday. They talked about how Jefferson's father and Perry had both been Air Force officers. Jefferson said Perry shared his view that in all circumstances, merit mattered, not race.
"To imply that the governor condoned either the use of that word or that sentiment, I find false,"Posted by: Y-not at October 04, 2011 08:30 AM (5H6zj)

ESPN pulls Williams from MNF opening
The Hank Williams Jr. song that has opened Monday Night Football for 20 years was not part of the opening of this week's Indianapolis-Tampa Bay game after Williams made controversial comments about President Barack Obama.
Williams compared Obama to Adolf Hitler on Fox News Channel's "Fox and Friends" show Monday morning.
Gee where were they when everyone was calling Bush Hitler. You couldnÂ’t search on BushÂ’s name w/o getting a million Hitler hits.
