Headlines are finally catching up with the human feces on the streets and covering the parks. "Becoming a concern." Hell, that was my first concern with the sit-in. The protesters getting sick is one thing. Their spreading public illness like dysentery into the metropolitan population is another. The running punchline here has been hobo hunting. The bug will do that to the mentally unstable homeless of NYC, while the protesters go home to mommy and daddy to get well.

A liberal organizer told the Daily Caller on Thursday afternoon that he paid some Hispanics to attend “Occupy DC” protests happening in the nation’s capital.
TheDC attended the protest event, an expansion of the “Occupy Wall Street” movement that began in New York City. Some aspects of the protest, it turned out, are more Astroturf than grassroots.
Yay Friday.

Hungover, and half drunk. A problem I plan on alleviating in a couple of hours when the stores open. Then I will make it full drunk.
Got back from my latest appointment yesterday. Found out that when I get my chemo shit it involves a 4 hour appointment for the "pump" then for 4 days I will not be able to eat or drink anything cold. Also will have to eat everythig using a plastic fork/spoon.
Every time I see these people I learn a new little piece of crap.

Re Vic's post 7, the article, an excerpt:
...one of the main thrusts of the Open Society campaign has been to replace the election of judges with the so-called “merit” selection system. Under merit selection, the power to choose judges is taken away from the people and handed over to a small committee typically dominated by state bar associations, trial lawyers and other legal special interests.
Yet again the Left proves that it only likes democratic systems in so far as they produce a very specific result. After that they are the worst kind of totalitarians. Not only do they want all power for themselves, they want to diffuse that power among a bunch of faceless committe pukes. They don't even have the manly forthrightness of the dictator, who at least is willing to attach is own name and face to his deeds.
Of course, the difference between an honest dictator and a Leftist committee is that the Leftists making up that committee all know that they are criminals, despots, and enemies of the people. The dictator, one might charitably assume, believes that he is doing good, and thus shows his face. The secret cabal, on the other hand, lurks in shaddow and seeks to escape responsibility.

Indiana police questioned and released a Saudi Arabian man after the pilot of a passenger jet said he tried to break into the planeÂ’s cockpit during a flight.
The captain of the American Airlines flight late Wednesday, from New York to Indianapolis, said Abdulaziz Mubarak Alshammari, 20, walked up to the planeÂ’s cockpit door and tried opening it. A passenger then intervened and led Alshammari back to his seat, Fox59 reports.

One of the key attorneys in the Pigford “black farmers” lawsuit has confirmed, on camera, what we at Big Government have argued for months: that the $2.7 billion Pigford settlement has been corrupted by fraud on a massive scale.
Is there anyone who didn't know This already? In the actual debate in congress for Piggyford II it was revealed that there were more claimants for Pigford I than there were black farmers to begin with. That was why they ran out of money.
That did not slow down the democrats who were pushing this shit and rather than be labeled racists by the communist press the Republicans went along.

Headlines are finally catching up with the human feces on the streets and covering the parks. "Becoming a concern."
Years ago, Tom Wolfe wrote an essay called the "Great Relearning." He first came upon the idea while reporting on the San Francisco hippie scene in 1968. "At the Haight-Ashbury Free Clinic," Wofe wrote,
"there were doctors treating diseases no living doctor had ever encountered before, diseases that had disappeared so long ago they had never even picked up Latin names, diseases such as the mange, the grunge, the itch, the twitch, the thrush, the scroff, the rot."
The reason all of these diseases turned up is simple. The thousands of hippie migrants seeking free love and communal living had deliberately "thrown off" all the accumulated "bourgeois" hang-ups of their parents. Which meant giving up on showers, sex with people you know by name and other "old fashioned" concepts of hygiene. This in turn brought back creepy-crawlies not seen since the age of toga parties.
They never learn....

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Employers added 103,000 jobs in September, a modest burst of hiring after a sluggish summer.
Still, job growth remains too weak to lower the unemployment rate, which stayed at 9.1 percent for the third straight month.
Nearly half of the gains last month occurred because 45,000 striking Verizon workers returned to their jobs. How can they count people ending a strike as a new job hire? I'm taking a day off today. Does that mean on Monday I'll be a new job hire?

I appreciate Cain's contributions to the campaign dialog, and would like to think his efforts would improve our nation's economy.
Last night's FOX News forum discussed Cain's campaign lacking the necessary millions of qualifying GOP funds. Their consensus was that he's basking in the limelight so long as possible, enjoying himself. I suppose he's getting the name recognition that would enable a victorious future senate campaign, or gubernatorial victory, for instance. Meanwhile, I'm not against his potus campaign, having been willing to support his platform.
Though I don't hold his barbed quotes against him, I certainly don't fool myself into thinking that he'd never attack conservative Republicans in the same fashion under challenge. Yes, he was talking to youth who need a kick in the ass to "grow up" -- get out of their parents' house and earn their own living. But the truth is a two-edged sword that cuts both ways. Consider as well the parents who've worked and paid taxes and put their kids through school. Telling people who are laid off (by CEO policy eliminating senior age employees in order to cut costs and boost profits) that it's their fault they don't have a job isn't going to win him the senior votes. Rather, its an update on class warfare. It breeds contempt between the haves and have nots, i.e., those employed and those not. Go figure. It's the unemployed specialists' fault because Orin Hatch and Republican Leadership (politicians represented in this race by Romney and Perry) flood the work force through legislation with imported highly skilled immigrants granted green cards because they will work for low wages in order to gain legal access into America. That leaves the middle aged American highly skilled work force laid off, and it's their own fault. They're not young and inexperienced anymore. They had their shot, and that's that. Work Walmart doors. Cain simply brings "how things are" to a head (sure, pun it). Regardless of how compassionately either party presents their rhetoric, it really boils down to severely cutting taxes so that everyone can get on with survival without feeding the Beast.
$.02 and enough of politics for me today.
All hail the weekend: the Southwest has showers.

They like the squishy "who's turn it is" candidate. The MFM likes the squishy most liberal candidate until the nominee is named.
...and as soon as he's nominated, they start doctoring photos to make him look like a sinister vampyre. Amazing stuff.
But looking specifically at this field: you have Tardisil Bachmann, that IMO self-destructed when she went off the ranch like that. You've got Cain that clearly knows absolutely NOTHING about foreign policy and keeps saying cringe-worthy stuff like not hiring muslims and the unemployed should blame themselves (that's funny: I thought we wanted them to blame OBAMA!).
You've got Newt, sitting in the Love Couch with Pelosi.
You've got Santorum, that couldn't keep his own Senate district.
And of course you've got Perry... my personal choice, BUT: the man needs to turn in a solid debate performance. If he CAN'T... then I guess the debates will have served their purpose, by weeding out the candidates that look good on paper but crash and burn in reality.
I don't like Mittens, I don't hope Mittens wins... but Man, he sure has that Whiff of Inevitability about him, don't he? And it will be a damned shame if he's the nominee, because like I often point out: the Democrats can go incredibly hard left with someone like the Obamunist, and WIN. We Republicans always psyche ourselves into becoming more like the enemy.

I think that's over-stating the LDS Church's position. I'm not defending it, but I would say that my sense is that the origins (from a cultural perspective) had more to do with them seeing themselves as a lost tribe of Israel sent to save others than a desire to enslave people. FWIW, there are a lot of mixed-race families around here (Utah County) from folks adopting kids from places like Haiti and the Pacific Islands. I don't detect any active racism in the LDS folks I've met.

One might even think of the circumstances as a conspiracy: of the radical left currently in power of course, largely funded by criminal-Soros types and our stolen tax dollars (ACORN, public employee unions, etc.); of the Establishment Ever Bigger-Government Republicans (Rove-types, socialism supporters in their hearts); of the minor candidates (Gardasil Bachman, Heartless Santorum, Racist-, Border Squish-Perry and adding-to-our-taxes Cain; of the debate setup (who agrees to these things?) designed by the enemy, run by the enemy within the home-team's honored spaces (e.g., Reagan Library), run to make politicians look ridiculous (one minute to answer; thirty seconds to answer; it's a gaaaame show! ENOUGH), and the next one with a Journolist questioner.
We've got three choices it seems to me: conspiracy, too powerful to confront, unconscious death-wish so we have no choices, or stupidity, game over. Rather than roll over, play dead, and assume Romney will be the nominee, let's get out there and work.
Who will be strongest on a secure border? This must be secured first for our safety, as well as our future prosperity.
Who will honor real science and end the AGW-EvilCO2 anti-science fraud and massive scam for wealth, power, and control? This scam is also an essential part of our declining educational (professorial in the sciences especially) standards. Who will honor the scientific method, which is the search for truth against all established authority, which is the basis for any representative democracy?
Who has an 11-yr record of keeping all taxes to 18% of GDP and has acutally lowered percent of taxes per person over 11 years?
Who will unleash the power of entrepreneurial America the fastest by providing funds through (responsible) rapid development of our abundant natural resources? Without this basis, this fundamental element, our future affluence is toast.
Who most honors the work of our corporations and will get government out of the way so that they (especially in their small business form) can do their profitable businesses? We must be alert to crony capitalism as long as that term is defned carefully -- those who use our tax dollars to make their (non)profits. Costs of doing business (with honest audits) must be deducted.
