I think Nortion is much improved over years past, but I haven't used is for a couple of years now and have switched over to the using only the MS firewall stuff.  It is actually pretty good once they learn it is important to be able to control the outbound stream as well as the inbound.

Some of the older laptops don't have enought memory to handle the newer anti-virus software along with the windows updates. I have an old one now that works fine to surf until you load the security and then it's so slow to be useless.

Last night, I watched Star Trek II:  The Wrath of Khan.  God bless her, my bride had never seen it before.  I was pleased to explain to her as we went along what each of the finer plot points meant (it's always ego-stroking to feel like a know-it-all).

It really was rife with a nascent leftist ideology.  Which is understandable; that's Gene Roddenberry- a still-born Commie.  The one thing that struck me was the theme of, "the good of the many outweighs the good of the few or the one."  Perfect collectivist slogan in theory.  But in practice, Spock makes an individual sacrifice to save the rest of ship of his own volition.  Nobody forced him to do it.  It wasn't an institutional, top-down decision.  He did it.  As an individual.

Only an individual can make a sacrifice.  If some group forces that 'sacrifice,' it's not a sacrifice at all, but rather a theft of liberty.  This is what turns my stonach when I hear the president or other statists talk about the concept of 'shared sacrifice'.  There is no such thing.

Rev Tatum and Zariyah's father say what's on paper and what the ear hears are two different things.

"Whether that was Freudian slip, whether it was a mishap, or whatever, it doesn't add up," said Tatum...

So in other words, it doesn't matter what the truth is, only what your perception of the truth is.  Facts are irrelevant; feelings and assumptions are the true arbiters of what is real and what is right.
