Top o' the mornin' to you! Some links to get you started:

Liberal WaPo covers liberal think tank's liberal analysis sketching out possible Obama win in 2012. The liberal authors suggest that skin color will save the President from voters upset with his failed economic policies. They could have titled their paper "The Affirmative Action President."

French government to Syrian government: "Your days are numbered." Syria would send a "screw you" letter back, but they're afraid the French would surrender.

That right there might be Newt's worst (Obama era) transgression. He is no conservative, his best quality is simply that he's not Mitt Romney.

4 When the hell are we going to realize there is no "winning" of any war in that region?

We are not fighting a war in Afghanistan.  We are fighting an un-winnable regional war.  500,000 troops would not be enough, unless you plan on keeping them there forever and killing off every male between 10 and 40 years of age first.

Bring them all home now.

5 Newt's somewhat unusual take toward "illegal aliens" must have put a real scare into the Obama planners. No wonder the media went crazy about this departure from their preconceived notions about Republicans.

No it's more like an auto accident in Europe.  They say if you're an American in Europe that you should never stop at an auto accident.  If it's an Italian and a Frenchman, they will both work together and lie saying that the American caused the accident because he/she can better pay for the auto repairs.

About a year ago, I spoke at a conference in Europe that attracted a lot of very rich people from all over the continent, as well as a lot of people who manage money for high-net-worth individuals.

What made this conference remarkable was not the presentations, though they were generally quite interesting. The stunning part of the conference was learning – as part of casual conversation during breaks, meals, and other socializing time – how many rich people are planning for the eventual collapse of European society.

Not stagnation. Not gradual decline. Collapse.

From Daniel J. Mitchell's link...

ItÂ’s sometimes said that everything that isnÂ’t expressly forbidden is allowed in the United States, whereas in Europe itÂ’s the other way around, with everything forbidden unless explicitly permitted.

It's sometimes said because it's true. That's what American Exceptionalism is all about, being free. We have had a system of government that is still unique among all the other types in the world and we've managed to raise the standard of living for the pretty much all of mankind as a result. This isn't some theory, it's the way our form of government was designed to work.

It's too bad we keep electing people who are doing their best to destroy it.

12 Baksheesh is a long-standing custom in that part of the world.  The Pakis just learned how to do it better and get bigger sums from us to use for the purchase of younger goats.
Any time our troops are sent to a location where they can't display crosses or openly carry Bibles, and the indigenous population practices taqiyah and thinks a rock is a technological advance over a clod, you know our TOP MEN have made yet another blunder that will result in the loss of American lives for naught.

I don't see any options I can afford.
Canada has the same health care system that we will have courtesy of the Zero and friends, so that's not a differentiator.  Canada also has the kind of free speech environment that only an uber-liberal could love.
Mexico is essentially run by the drug lords (similar to some of our inner cities), thus no joy there.
The Caribbean islands are basically crony socialist states as far as I can tell and are glad to take you money, but don't need new citizens.
Australia has screwed up a once wonderful country in the name of political correctness.
Europe speaks for itself, although if they had an open taste tester job at St James Gate, I might consider Ireland.

44 Damn, I missed the Dog Shown on Thanksgiving

Speaking of Dogs, Here some old news:

Sorry about the all caps. It's a chain mail.

IN THE MUSLIM RELIGION, DOGS ARE UNCLEAN AND NOT ALLOWED TO TRAVEL IN THE SAME VEHICLE AS THE MUSLIM. Bo has never traveled in the same means of transportation with the First Family.

REMEMBER ALL THE OTHER PRESIDENTS WITH THEIR DOGS COMING OFF THE PLANE WITH THEM??? NOT THE OBAMA'S...

Bo's vacation

I guess since they had to swallow their pride and use the Gulfstream there just wasn't enough room for the dog and one other person.
Did you know the Pres. flew BO, the dog, in on a separate smaller jet to Maine for their vacation????

Wonder if that sets well with all the unemployed, hurting, US citizens who can't afford food, but we can pay for this. The above is true. I Google "Bo the dog flying to Maine " and got 76,700 references verifying this. One of them follows:

51 When it comes to a bountiful place full of natural resources, you just can't hardly beat the continental US. The problem isn't the place, but the leadership. Generally speaking, going somewhere else isn't a solution because you will find screwed up leadership there too.

One idea here that hasn't taken off is called The Free State Project. The idea is to relocate to NH and essentially take over government there. They seek to form a seed of liberty, resistant to federal and state meddling. I'm not saying that this is the solution, but it isn't a terrible idea either.

52 Liberal WaPo covers liberal think tank's liberal analysis sketching out possible Obama win in 2012. The liberal authors suggest that skin color will save the President from voters upset with his failed economic policies.

The left just can't seem to understand that (1) we never disliked Obama because he's half-black; rather, we dislike him because he's an incompetent socialist hack who's destroying our country, and (2) consequently, he's never going to get the reverse traction they think he will because of his race.

The bottom line is that no one gives a shit about race anymore except liberal victimologists and race hustlers who need it to exist in order for them to remain even tangentially relevant.

Posted by: Barb the Evil Genius at November 28, 2011 08:09 AM (MyByM) You are correct about the medical care in Europe. As much as Michael Moore and the libs scream and yell about "wonderful, free medical care for everybody in (fill in the blank European country), the vast majority are well behind US technology and protocols. As an example-every medical procedure we had to have in Europe had to be redone in the US. This ranges from coronary artery stents, to spinal surgery, to foot surgery. I will say that British nursing in private hospitals is fantastic, what with the liquor menu, but as for doctors and up to date technology-they lag behind us. They also lag behind us in cost for said care. Plus in many countries, you have to bring your own-sheets, pillows, soap, towels, toilet paper and food. So, if any liberal "friend" starts telling you how sorry our medical care is, tell them to walk the walk and have their heart surgery or cancer surgery done in France or Germany. And not at a US military facility. Maybe then the pishers will shut up.

Did they bring in the very expensive machine that goes "ping?"

Posted by: Count de Monet at November 28, 2011 08:32 AM (4q5tP)

No machines, surly nurses, a non-existent "doctor".etc.

Another friend gave birth there and the baby nearly died from non-attention during labor.  He made it but it was horrifying.

The not so funny thing is that these were employees of their national oil company with insurance.

81 My husband, an OB, went to medical school at Trinity and Oxford just prior to the nationalization of their health care. His best friend committed suicide because he could not provide for his family working for NHS. How did you like the UK news stories all weekend about half of all births being "uncomplicated" and better to deliver at home than hospital? The hell with that! It was bad enough at the hospital! Plus, 50% of complications are not predicted. Go ahead, UK, shave off some more IQ points to deny necessary care. More future Labor party voters!

I had my 4th child at home with no drugs with the assistance of 2 midwives, BUT my prenatal care was more frequent than you would get with a typical OB/GYN and one of the midwives had her local paramedic brother on speed dial.  Best birth out of all of them.

Childbirth has been around forever and has little business in the hands of "medical professionals" who don't give a shit whether you or your child live or die.  With all the complications I could have avoided, I wish I had delivered the first 3 that way.

88 You really make it seem so uderstandable with your presentation but I find this topic before really hard to understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me.
