I actually thought all this stuff - the latest stuff - was BS until hearing Cain respond to it. Meh. I'd already decided he wasn't fit to be president from some of his earlier verbal creativity and cluelessness about various things. All the current mess is doing is keeping everyone from actually focusing on picking the best guy to knock off President Petulant next fall. The Cain stuff will play out; there will either be something to it or not; and, he'll handle it badly either way.

The accusation against Perry w/o any evidence what-so-ever was a major flub on the same order as Bachmann's Tardacil response which ultimately killed her in the polls.

Well, after hearing Cain respond to this, I pretty sure *something* happened, but it's probably a lot less than everyone is imagining it might be. Probably something of the magnitude that it would never get mentioned if it was a Dem in question. The damage to Cain will have been done by his response, not the original whatever it was.

Oh, sure Cain would be better than the Dipstick-in-Chief, by miles and miles, but I think we can do better than just "better than that loser"...that's a terribly low bar to set...we better hope we get someone better anyway, as much damage as there is to be undone.

The longer this GOP mess of a non-campaign campaign goes on, the more irritated I get with all the Republicans who *didn't* run this time around. I know some of them, even most of them, had legitimate reasons for not running, but sometimes your country needs you to put it first, and if there ever was an election when we needed a good solid candidate - not a Reagan, just someone solid - this one is it. I'm not sure we have one like that running at the moment.

Unless and until the accusers come forward and name names, places and incidents in detail, it's bullshit. Cain's reaction is another matter. Again, whatever one feels personally about him, you have to stand with him as a candidate and a Republican UNTIL it is proven what happened and what he said about it. If it's revealed he harassed or abused anyone, I will dump him. Again, until then, fuck Politico and the MFM for the hypocrisy and racism. Fuck them in any case for that.

33 Got a Cain fundraising email from Townhall today, which is also connected to HotAir. This seems inappropriate. My understanding is that most of the banner ads on blogs are run by third parties, and I am fine with seeing ads there. I am also fine with the ads running on Rush and Hannity because those are not part of the program. However, the Townhall email is put out in the name of Townhall spotlight, and it gives the strong appearance of endorsement. It also does not contain the standard language disclaiming endorsement. Bad optics, really bad optics to me.

Condolences to you; I know how bad it feels to do it but trust me, your dog being humanely put to sleep while surrounded by family members that loved him or her is the best thing to do.  I've told people here before that I'm haunted by the death of an airedale we had that had a lingering intestinal disorder and she was wasting away.  Rather than put her down the vet talked me into doing exploratory surgery and she died as soon as they administered the anesthetic.  She was a pound dog who had been abused and the thought of her dying while surrounded by strangers and afraid still bothers me today.

There's a pile of 16-18 boys who, by this age, should have reached puberty at my son's high school (known for its drama and music programs, barf) who look similar and flit around in metallic boat shoes. I'm starting to wonder, evolutionarily, if the girls are starting puberty earlier and the boys not at all.

One of my friends just lost her dog and she was a total mess.  Even though she's a real lib lib, I decided to buy mark levin's book about his dog for her.   At first she didn't want to read it cause he's a conservative but she finally read it and it really helped her a lot.  I haven't read it but she said for her it was "therapy in this gem of a book".  She taught me that her dog was every bit a member of her family, I'm so sorry you are going through this great loss.

This is the direct result of the feminist agenda being run in elementary schools where male values are held up as evil and female values are taught as the right way to do things. This does enormous damage to the male psyche. Most feminist women - instead of advancing themselves -  attempt to advance  by tearing men down. This results in a society of torn down men and women who are no better off than they started  - and only look stronger by comparison.

It is a core feminist belief that male brains and female brains are identical, and that any differences are cultural. I would like to point out that only women or emotionally castrated males believe that. It is obvious to any other male that female brains are very different from male brains. I saw a science program on TV where some feminist scientists were going to prove their identical brain thesis by studying the behavior of infant baboons. Much to their horror the female baboons liked playing with dollies and the male baboons preferred blocks, hammers, and toy cars. At the end of the show one of the scientists said: "We were just wrong." To which the average man can only say "Duh".

Not many people realize it but South Vietnam was a matriarchal society - and as such a perfect example of the end result of feminism . The men were barely recognizable as men because they were so beaten down emotionally. They were horrible fighters who couldn't protect their country. The South Vietnamese women were stunned by the American soldiers - they had forgotten what actual men looked like.
