Will SCOTUS take on the court cases with Obama meddling in State law for illegal migration?
If the 4 liberals have anything to say about it, probably not. This is the thing you seldom hear about. The fight over which cases they will take. That fight is just as politically motivated as the actual cases themselves. $ justices must agree to hear a case before it will be taken up.

Flood Insurance buried in this latest Pay Roll Tax Bill?
What else is buried in this POS? And no, the federal government should not be in the flood insurance business at all and should not be paying off home owners through FEMA when their homes are flooded out. This is a BS subsidy for real estate investors who bought up cheap property in flood zones back in the 60s.
I donÂ’t mind people living in flood zones, but I do mind having to pay for their damn homes through my taxes when they get flooded out.

Well Holder made it past this weekend but he ain't out of the woods yet
Now he is stonewalling on e-mails. He is like a drunk in a bar at last call that doesnÂ’t want to leave. Desperately grasping at the door jams as bouncers try to drag him out.

Yesterday a motley coalition of left-wing groups operating under the name Stand For Freedom marched in New York City, ostensibly to support voting rights. A large number of groups were represented, almost more organizations than people: the NAACP, the ACLU, SEIU, CAIR, the Communist Party, the LawyersÂ’ Committee for Civil Rights, the Hispanic Federation, the United Federation of Teachers, the Action Network, NOW, several Democratic politicians, and many more.
So what is their gripe? Are people being turned away from voting because of poll taxes and literacy tests (although that is not a bad idea)? No thatÂ’s not the problem. Are people being turned away because they are black? Some of these groups say they are but they have no evidence at all.
Their gripe is 30 States have enacted, or are in the process of enacting, voter picture ID and other measures to combat increasing voter fraud. Voter fraud that inevitably involves the Democrat Party.

ThatÂ’s it for the news this morning. MondayÂ’s are always a slow day as reporters are off on Sunday. Tuesdays are catch-up days though.

I am gobsmacked. Reading the article to the end makes it someone less offensive in that he is only talking about a resolution of condemnation, but still.

Gee, a bunch of Dems and Muslim groups want Lowes to 'apologize and reinstate their ads'. Free enterprise? Never heard of it. What exactly do they have to apologize for? NOT advertising on a controversial show, like 1000s of other companies don't, is just good business.
I seem to remember organized efforts to stop companies from running ads on Glenn Beck. These efforts are by some of the same groups and Dem mouthpieces. Only approved propaganda, inshallah.

He can threaten all he wants on that legislative action. I haven't see anything yet that forces people to buy advertising at any location.

Tebow and the kicker didn't win it as much as that dumbass dreadlocked doofus Marion Barber lost it for the Bears.. All he had to do was stay in bounds, since he and Hanie were unable to make a first down.. and the clock would have run out.. but, noooooooooooo.. they couldn't even manage that!!

For now. Given his way, Sen. Ted Lieu, D-Torrance would change that, no doubt.
"The senator vowed to look into whether Lowe's violated any California laws..."
And if Lieu doesn't find a law that Lowes violated he'll probably want to write a new one to catch them on next time.
Oh, and ,morning, everybody.

The only people staying in CA are the welfare drones, the illegals, and people who work for the government.
That is why they are going bankrupt. If it wasn't for the U.S. government buying State bonds they probably would have already gone under.

On Tuesday, Americans will have a rare chance to voice their disdain of the corruption and lies flowing from this Justice Department. They will have a chance to speak out against the radical and racialist law enforcement priorities of this Justice Department. Eric Holder comes to Austin, Texas to make a major announcement about voting laws....( Breitbart)

In general I agree with Vic; the feds shouldn't be involved with issuing flood insurance. There is definitely politicking going on when the flood maps are drawn, as I saw first hand after Katrina. I think the gubmint should get out of the crop insurance business too.
I once bought a home in a flood zone. Since I paid cash, I didn't have to have a flood policy but I carried enough coverage to pay for replacing all the carpet and drywall. Two years in a row water backed up into my yard almost up to the front door. I sold the place shortly after the second time.

I think companies will put up with a lot to participate in a market that size.
Strictly from an employee standpoint, I used to work for a company with its corporate and U.S. headquarters in San Francisco. I questioned why, for the love of God, did they have one more employee than necessary there. Years later, their corporate headquarters are in the suburbs and their U.S. headquarters are in Texas.

I read that article on Lowes.
What struck me was Ellison contending that Lowes' action was somehow anti-1st Amendment.
I mean, isn't chosing what and what not to sponsor free speech? The whole thing reeks of social control. What really puffs my cheese is the suspicion that Lowes will capitulate to this blackmail.

Look what I found over at Don Surber's place. That debate was the top draw on Saturday night!
Interest in the most-watched Republican presidential race in decades continues to grow. The Republican presidential debate on ABC on Saturday was the No. 1 TV show in America as Newt Gingrich and friends drew 7.6 million sets of eyeballs, easily toppling Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Cops and whatever was on NBC. The interest among people 25-54 was high as the debate drew 2.1 million people in that highly prized age bracket, which Barack Obama won on his way to victory in 2008.
Democrats might want to start worrying about now.

I have no dog in the fight since I'm not demonstrably religious or a Denver fan, but it's great to see conventional group think embarassed on such a regular basis not through demagogic button pushing but by a modest individual just being himself and performing his duties.
It's been reported that a lot of the exploded heads have been found to have egg on what remains of their faces.
A sweet turn of events.

The Exploding Head Trick has been fun to watch. I tuned in to the jackasses on ESPN's highlight show yesterday just to watch the blood and brain matter splatter after hearing that Tebow and the Broncos had done it again. I'm not religious and not a Broncos fan either (not a fan of the NFL at all), but this phenomenon and the reaction to it has been been fun to watch. It's the only news from the National Felons League that I bother to look for.

Your team is fighting through a city full of guerilla fighters, and you find your goal is to reach the Kabaa in the Heart of Mecca! So you finally reach it, and in the back is secret door which reveals the opening to a Time Tunnel. You walk through and are sent back to the 7th century, where you track down and kill a young Mohammed. (who looks like Bin Laden and is in bed with a young girl. And a pig.)
Then you come back and the world is a beautiful place, and the middle east has been peaceful for centuries.
Oh, and you're wearing an IDF uniform.
I wonder what the Int'l Red Cross would think of my game.

ESPN has been both the source and symptom of many of organized sports' problems on all levels since its inception 30 years ago.
Its top 10 highlight feature in particular has inspired the worst kind of the individual trashing of whatever there was of sports culture to begin with.
There are now a couple of generations that equate achievement with mugging for the camera, an obscene demonstration of vanity in the extreme, to the point where it is so common place it now goes almost unnoticed.
Except when you behave like a Tebow.

10 .... the NAACP, the ACLU, SEIU, CAIR, the Communist Party, the LawyersÂ’ Committee for Civil Rights
Any time these guys are for something.....it's bad news for the rest of us.
Requiring Voter-ID is one of the few simple ways that we can clean up our system of voting. It doesn't discriminate. Anyone can get an ID. It's so easy, there is fraud and abuse in that as well.
Late to the thread. Thanks for the links, Vic.
