— Gabriel Malor Oh, Tuesday, you're so good to me. Some news to get you started:
The Administration of the first post-racial president sure has race on its mind a lot. Part of last week's Friday afternoon document dump was these two documents, one from the Department of Justice (PDF) and one from the Department of Education (PDF), reestablishing race-based admissions policies in higher education. You will recall that the Supreme Court largely smacked down affirmative action in higher education during the Bush 43 years. The Obama Administration isn't much interested in that.
Speaking of race-based admissions, the sentencing hearing starts today for former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, who was convicted of corruption related to the attempted sale of the President's old Senate seat to Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.

Are you ready to get super pissed - read this.
President Obama's team of negotiators at the United Nations Climate Change Conference may agree to a tax on foreign currency transactions, designed to pay for a "Green Climate Fund," that would fall disproportionately on American travellers and businesses, according to a group attending the conference that is skeptical of the UN position on global warming.
Snip
European countries would evade much of the tax burden, however, because "transactions within the Eurozone won't have to pay this new tax."
Snip
"We have learned that while many have discounted this conference, knowing that a full climate treaty is difficult to achieve especially with a U.S. Senate that will not vote to ratify," CFACT says. "Obama and his fellow climate travelers are working around the Senate and planning to stick America with the bill."
Once again he picks his nose and flings it at Congress while grossly violating the Constitution.

Democrats promise Republicans they will only stick it in a little.
Republican leadership says thank you sir can I have another.

The Obamanites don't give a damn what the courts say they know that nobody will do anything. We can see now how Andrew Jackson got away with telling the Supreme Court to stick the Cherokee Indian Treaty up their asses.

This is despicable. "Diversity" doesn't "help" anyone. (I have really come to hate that word - diversity.) This policy just leads to unqualified people getting into colleges they cannot finish and qualified people who have worked their butts off being denied admission because they are the wrong color. That is real racism.
What would help everyone is the total disregard of color in admission policies and looking at the person and their test scores, extra-curricular activities, and desire and ABILITY to learn proven over their lifetime to that point. Then when you saw someone on campus you would know they deserved to be there.

Sparking outrage across the country’s rural heartland, the Obama administration is proposing rules to curb the ability of children on farms to engage in “corn sex” for pay.
Note here this is new “regulations”, not law. More executive fiat.

But aren't those green jobs? Doesn't that corn get turned into ethanol?
This is why SCOAMF going to Asia Hawaii for 17 days won't help. He's got countless bureaucrats to dream up stupid regulations while he's gone.

Romney said on Fox that he is going to do everything that he can to work with liberal progressives. He will reach across to them. We need to come together as a Team in USA said Romney.
What it means:
Romney said on Fox that he is going to do everything that he can to betray us all.
Our children, having already been sold to Pirates from the future, will be corporate slaves in the land their progenitors conquered.

I was assuming he was since I haven't seen a new item about him refusing to like with a couple of the others, but I don't know for sure either. If he actually has some momentum in the polls by then (and this one isn't just a temporary blip), it would be awfully risky to put yourself at the mercy of Donald Trump the night before the caucus. I can't stand Trump, but he's right. As nice a man as Bush might be personally, he created the environment (or allowed it to be created around him) that made possible the election of something like Obama.

Learning environments comprised of students from diverse backgrounds provide an enhanced educational experience for individual students.1 Interacting with students who have different perspectives and life experiences can raise the level of academic and social discourse both inside and outside the classroom; indeed, such interaction is an education in itself. By choosing to create this kind of rich academic environment, educational institutions help students sharpen their critical thinking and analytical skills.
Referencing a court case in the footnotes ain't exactly the type of science I mean.

Not good.
Mitt still seems unable to provide details on what he'd do differently or how the law failed or explain what the Replace in Repeal & Replace would be if he were POTUS.
Ken Cuccinelli, attorney general of Virginia:
“Governor [Romney], in a general election debate, President Obama will
say that his health care law was based on your Massachusetts model. What
would be your response to the president in that debate?”
Mitt Romney: “I — I sure look
forward to that because I’ll say, ‘Mr. President, thank you for the
compliment, but why didnÂ’t you give me a call?Â’
“‘Why — why didn’t you pick up the phone and ask me what I’d do differently? What I’d do the same? Why didn’t you ask me what the flaws were in the Massachusetts plan?’”
Cuccinelli: “Well, let me ask — let me ask you, what would you do differently?”
Romney: “Oh, a lot of things.
Actually the bill that I proposed was different than the final bill.
Some measures in the final bill I vetoed. They were overwritten by the
legislature. And actually IÂ’m sure that in the years that have passed
some things have been seen to have gone well. Some things needed to be
adjusted and improved.
“So do I like the bill overall? Yes. Am I proud of what we did for our state? Yes.
“But what the president has done is way beyond what
we envisioned. We were trying to take care of the eight percent of our
population that didnÂ’t have insurance. The president is not just worried
about the people without insurance. Obamacare is about taking over 100
percent of the people’s insurance in this country.”

I purchased a burger at Burger King for $1.58. The counter girl took my $2
and I was digging for my change when I pulled 8 cents from my pocket and
gave it to her. She stood there, holding the nickel and 3 pennies, while
looking at the screen on her register. I sensed her discomfort and tried to
tell her to just give me two quarters, but she hailed the manager for help.
While he tried to explain the transaction to her, she stood there and
cried... Why do I tell you this? Because of the evolution in teaching math
since the 1960s:
1. Teaching Math In 1960s (when I was in school)
A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5
of the price. What is his profit ?
2. Teaching Math In 1970s
A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5
of the price, or $80. What is his profit?
3. Teaching Math In 1980s
A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is
$80. Did he make a profit ? Yes or No
4. Teaching Math In 1990s
A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80
and his profit is $20. Your assignment: Underline the number 20.
5. Teaching Math In 2000s
A logger cuts down a beautiful forest because he is selfish and
inconsiderate and cares nothing for the habitat of animals or the
preservation of our woodlands. He does this so he can make a profit of $20.
What do you think of this way of making a living? Topic for class
participation after answering the question: How did the birds and squirrels
feel as the logger cut down their homes? (There are no wrong answers, and if
you feel like crying, it's ok).
6. Teaching Math In 2010
Un hachero vende una carretada de maderapara $100. El costo de la
producciones es $80. Cuanto dinero ha hecho?
ANSWER: His profit was $375,000 because his logging business is just a front
for his pot farm.

I can't see people going for someone who is so removed from the problems on the mainland. I sure wouldn't. And I don't think it helps us (the GOP) to toss issues of Puerto Rican statehood into the mix during this election.
Posted by: Y-not at December 06, 2011 07:04 AM (5H6zj)
From a Daily Caller article in March of this year:
----
Though Puerto Ricans pay federal taxes on income generated outside of Puerto Rico, thereÂ’s still a more than $20 billion imbalance between the taxes they pay and the benefits they receive. Although some states receive more federal funds than they contribute, Puerto RicoÂ’s per capita imbalance is far larger than any stateÂ’s.
----
So how does it help us to dilute our ticket with someone who would not be tuned into the federal tax burden?
