RINO Graham introduces a bill for Obamacare lite. When is that good for nothing fuck-weasel going to wake up and smell the coffee. We donÂ’t want the government in healthcare you asshole. Get government out of healthcare totally. Allow real competition across State lines like the interstate commerce clause was originally intended. Get the damn blood sucking lawyers out of it as well. Too bad this sorry bastard is good until 2014.

Feds at it again pushing their junk science attack on salt
Folks there has never been a shred of evidence that salt causes heart problems for the average American. There is a small percentage of people who are sensitive to salt but it has no impact on most people at all. What’s more, they have no study or actual scientific proof to base these BS recommendations on. And yes they did the DASH-sodium study which was pure bull shit because they started with 412 people who already had high blood pressure. According to John Stossel in his book “Give Me a Break” 9 out of 10 caridioligists that he contacted said that salt intake had no impact on blood pressure for most people. That also conforms to what I read in all the heart healthy diet books I read after my heart attack. It also conforms to the test I ran on myself in consuming LARGE quantities of salt an entire day while taking hourly blood pressure readings..

Its amazing how far these liberal papers will go to try to prop up the Obama regime
State tax revenue grew at the fastest rate in nearly five years during the fourth quarter, as the steadily improving economy and higher taxes in some states propelled strong growth in income- and sales-tax collections.
Gee what was going on during the 4th quarter? Christmas you say? What happens during Christmas as far as the retail sales go? Half of their annual business you say? Well, no shit sales taxes went up during the 4th quarter. Too bad it doesnÂ’t mean a damn thing.

The similarity between today and the late 70's continues to grow. Now Michigan (and many other states) will be suffering a freak snow storm that will bury us all in many, many inches of snow. The last time we had a truly epic snow fall was the winter of 1978.
Hopefully the county guys around here will put their plow blades all the way down, rather than using the New York City snow removal methodology.
Alas, I still don't see the next Reagan on the horizon. Will we never reach a new 1980?

Comcast thoughtfully dropped ISP and phone service around midnight for a couple of hours, before the freezapocalypse even started. Idjits.

4 nights of hard freeze temps in Houston with many hours below freezing can cause bad things to happen, like water pipes freezing and bursting. We're not freeze hardened.

"Never mind that the same people who scoff at the notion that religion could play no role in the emerging democracies in the Middle East are the same people who demand that religion must play a role in America's democracy. Ironically, one of the most vocal proponent of religious activism in politics is Mike Huckabee himself, who has repeatedly called Americans to 'take this nation back for Christ' and who, while running for president, proudly declared that "what we need to do is to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards. In fact, when it comes to the role of religion in society, Americans and Egyptians are pretty well in agreement. Nevertheless, since a state can be considered democratic only insofar as it reflects its society, if the society is founded upon a particular set of values, then must not its government be also?"

It is because of ice on the surrounding trees causing them to fall on the lines.
Yeh, when we lost power for 30 hours, it was because trees had taken down the lines behind us. Houses across the street got it back more than 12 hours earlier. Wasn't ice, but same idea. Power lines are buried in this neighborhood...except for right behind us. Sigh.
Despite the weather radio waking me up nice and early, we shouldn't get more than normal thunderstorms this morning. Winds of 60-70 NW of here, near the corner of Ark, LA, and TX.

While that's true, Tree-huggers don't own the monopoly franchise against tree trimming. Municipalities that don't priorities the necessity, including those that can't finance the trimming, are included amongst those who lose power. Also, despite hiring City Managers and City Planners, "new" municipalities rarely go to the expense of networking underground utilities in city planning that would avoid so many future problems.

You could do it with loans or tax credits to utilities and space it out as a long-term (decades) project.
However, since we spent the stimulus money on propping up NEA pension plans and SEIU salaries and such, there is no money anyway so it will have to wait until many years from now.

Back in '89 over Christmas/New Years time, Houston had several days of sub 25 degree weather and pipes began bursting all over town when it warmed up. As some people were out of town, the mess was substantial.
After Rita and Ike, burying power lines was proposed here. Cost impossible. Carl Sagan "billions and billions" like estimates. For a metro area of about 5.5 million people.
On a cost vs benefit analysis, I don't see how large scale burying of power lines after a metro area is developed will ever be feasible.

the election of a new City Marshall.
When our municipality posted Constable elections, I looked at their job description seemingly involving paper processing and door knocking. Given the title Marshall, my guess? This is likely the local extension of DHS Federal Marshalls. Perhaps the City Marshall would have more authority to carry/use firearms in the line of duty processing arrest warrants or tracking fugitives than a Constable, leaving the town's Police Dept. focus on the immediacy of response to crimes/emergencies. But you tell us.

If I could figure it out, I'd tell ya. The city's web site does not illuminate:
Protect and serve the citizens of Bossier City. Treat all citizens with dignity and respect in the performance of our duties. Discharge and perform our duties with professionalism and honesty.
The Bossier City Marshal's Office was established in 1907. Marshal Charles Smith was the first appointed City Marshal. Marshal Smith served his position until 1911.
Marshals policed Bossier City until 1949. Through the years, the Marshal's Office has grown and progressed to meet the needs of the city it serves.
In 1991, Marshal Johnny Wyatt was the first to initiate Deputies in uniforms, marked patrol cars, annual audits, increased training for Deputies, and a close working relationship with the Bossier City Police Department. The standards for the Marshal's Office are held high, and as time passes and our city grows, that bar is constantly being raised.
After the tragedy of September 11th, the Marshal's Office has increased its responsibilities of security and protection. The Marshal's Office continues to train and work hard to insure the safety of anyone in its protection. The Office also stands true to its dedication in being the little brother of the Bossier City Police Department, ready to help whenever called.
Law enforcement dude with the name 'Wyatt'? Hmmm...

Vic,
A few years ago I had a blood volume test ran at the Cleavland Clinic. Turns put I'm 'a quart low' (actually what the heart docs called it). If I don't get an insane amount of salt daily, my energy drops, I get dizzy, light-headed, etc. One of the things my hubby asked the doctors was about heart disease because of all the salt I have to consume.
They looked at him, grinned, and said, 'Well, I can't say the correlation is wrong, but it does remind me of something you find in your yard when you have pets.'
Funny thing was that a few years before this study at the CC, IO had a quack put me on a low sodium diet. I couldn't even get off the couch because me symptoms were so severe.
Because the food is so bland no a days, I actually have to eat chips or go back to taking salt pills.

While in El Paso on Monday, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano delivered a clear and unmistakable message to the Mexican drug cartels:
"Don't even think about bringing your violence and tactics across this border," she said.
Does she even know that these are animals who have/will cut the heads off of their opposition by the baker's dozen. Display numerous headless corpses on playground equipment? Hack living people apart like a butcher with MS?
Like they are scared of her and her words? We are SO boned.

Paving will not solve drainage problems. You are supposed to solve drainage problems before paving to protect your investment.
Well, the streets are kinda higher in the middle so the water goes to the edges...and then sits there because it's higher than the corner...so I had hopes that would improve. They also fixed some sidewalks, esp. at the corners where the drains are.
I have this silly idea that it would be nice to be able to get in and out of the neighborhood in my minivan even when it's raining...

Byron York twitters these Egyptian stats:
84% of Egyptians favor death penalty for apostasy
90% favor freedom of religion
majority in favor of democracy as best form of govt
59% favor fundamentalists though'
82% favor stoning for adulterers
88% support impartial judiciary
80% free speech
75% freedom of the press
My conclusion is that they don't know what the words mean. How can you favor freedom of religion and then death for leaving islam? How can you favor free speech and then favor fundamentalists? How could an impartial judiciary stone adulterers? When they say adulterers do they mean only women? Thought men could take temporary wives?
Final conclusion: Crazy inbred lunatics.

The news outlets here just had a call in donation drive for the homeless shelters/food banks around town because the need has gone up 7000% this year over last year.
Yes, you read that right. 7000% Which is actually a worse number than it looks because Columbus has a huge hungry/homeless problem. There was just a dust up here because the last year the city (tried) to stop counting kids that the food banks/shelters were serving, so the numbers would look better. (Wanted to count only 'families')
news item from June of last year: The Mid-Ohio Foodbank said in the past 12 months, they have provided a record-level 36 million pounds of food to Ohioans in need.

The origin is consistent as law enforcement began organization in territories with Marshals and Sheriffs in townships.
Actually, the term "sheriff" derives from shire reef. The reef was the tax collector of the shire. That's why properties seized for failure to pay property taxes are still sold at sheriff's sales.

Nonsense, his decision was the exact opposite of judicial activism. He stated that he could not be the one to determine which parts of the act should be retained and which should not, and that this determination was rightly the responsibility of the legislative branch. This is not activist, this is strict constructionist.

Big whoop, hey there's corn in Indiana. Which direction did you take to the state line, that allowed you to miss the City of Roses, the library of the author of Ben-Hur, all those sprint-car tracks, and the shops that built the Robert E Lee? Foreigner.
Couldn't agree more that drainage must come before pavement. Hell, the Romans knew that. Absent a favorable percolation, paving makes drainage worse. Many wannabe-great cities 100 years ago built dual sewage systems -- built them of brick, by God -- intending for perpetuity to treat both real sewage and groundwater. Then slackers coasted for a century on that foresight until EPA-like agencies popped them for gut-flora and presented multi-billion dollar improvement plans, driving away the businesses that might have paid for it otherwise.
Used to be you could drill sump holes to deliver runoff directly to the water table. Spray-green and doggy-doo now pretty much preclude that. We're also inhabiting a lot of flood plain. My town successfully makes water run uphill into Lake Erie, but that's done with diesel and you have to question its "sustainability" in the coming oil-free solar world of the future. Windmills, maybe. We're suddenly short a Dutchman or two. No sweat for me, living on the high spot, but you'd think somebody would have the sense, a couple times a century, to let a damn bean field just be a bean field instead of Missy's Dream Castle with vinyl siding on the parts you don't see from the street.
I go plow snow now. I'm good at it. We have four big seasons here.

Yeah, I agree with you about the salt guidelines. When we were doing our strict diet last year, we were never able to stay under the guidelines -- and I only rarely add salt when I cook and make most things from scratch.
I looked into the source of the salt (and sugar guidelines - some places break out sugar separately from carbs) and found that the really strict ones come from UNESCO or some such place where they work with third world countries. I'm thinking that basing guidelines on what folks in Ethiopia or wherever are doing is not such a helpful thing.
Plus, there's "salt" and there's "salt." And there's naturally-occurring salts even in fresh veggies and unprepared meats. So as long as you're not using tons of table salt (sodium chloride) or relying on a lot of prepared/preserved foods, most folks have nothing to worry about.
Cooking Light just posted a brief article summarizing the latest food/nutrition guidelines at the FB page and I noticed (with satisfaction) that they decided to blow off the salt, too.

---is a rabid insulting low life angry atheist who has held fast to his convictions in the face of terminal cancer. He's a martyr to the cause of outraged atheism. In fact, Hitchens has worked hard to even try to destroy the memory of Mother Teresa.
Allah LOVES this guy because allah sees Hitchens as the Ronald Reagan of atheism. These guys can't just not believe in God, they have to go out of their way to insult, demean, stir up and debase anyone who does.
It's angry weird stuff. Hitchens is Allah's little hero in a sick twisted way. It's the main reason I don't go there and whenever I get the chance run down the site and AP in particular. I don't care what he believes, I do care that he seems to have such contempt for me and people that are better than me. That's also the reason he hates Palin and Beck---they offend his rabid martyred atheism.

Libtard's commentary concerning the current goings-on in Egypt. Emphasis mine.
This happens time and time again, but the powers that be never learn or seem to care. They got theirs, and that's all that matters to them. The news medias fail their societies when they marginalize the concerns of their people; issues that would improve the societies never get addressed. Worse yet, the news medias manipulate public opinion so that the working classes turn on each other, keeping the ruling classes on top above the fray. Uneducated ignorant people are manipulated into opposing the educated progressive people who are trying to improve things for everyone's interests. The political classes just hope the society does not crack on their watch or they hope they could get out in time.

For every 1 gram of carbs you take in your body stores 3 grams of water to support it. When you reduce your carb intake drastically, your body starts flushing water that it no longer needs. This is part of the reason some people drop weight quickly on a low low card or no carb diet.

That type is a noxious breed. Some atheists are pretty fine, normal folk - I think of the mild, inoffensive atheism of Theodore Dalrymple, who I'd happily sit down with to have a beer and talk. But the nasty, angry ones are never pleasant to interact with. They're a toxic bunch. I honestly don't think they really disbelieve in God - I think they just hate Him as a result of their resentment toward higher moral authority, and because He didn't set up the world/life they way they want it to be. They transfer the human responsibility for human problems onto God, and throw a life-long temper tantrum. The big bonus for them is that they get to enjoy the feeling of righteous indigation, while not having any actual righteousness. While I dislike this type, I do pity them. They're not going to like the eternal alternative they've chosen.

Right on dagny--what they really mean is our kind of free speech in the mosque and madrassas. Jews and infidels, as sub-humans don't really count!
English common law and a written Constitution were nice concepts--too bad they are passe.

Egypt revolt is 'step towards Islamic Middle East'
Iran said on Tuesday the uprising in Egypt will help create an Islamic Middle East but accused US officials of interfering in the "freedom seeking" movement which has rocked the Arab nation.
"With the knowledge that I have of the great revolutionary and history making people of Egypt, I am sure they will play their role in creating an Islamic Middle East for all freedom, justice and independence seekers," Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi was quoted as saying on state television's website.

The problem is, when atheists cause trouble, it usually is through the legal system trying to get nativity scenes off city property or striking God from our money.
What many activist atheists want is religion removed from anything public, so basically, they want their religion to be the official state religion. They go about this not through elections or attempting to convince their fellow men by strength of argument, but through the courts.
A live and let live view would be to allow predominantly christian communities to celebrate christian holidays, and to let predominantly Hindu communities celebrate Hindu holidays, etc. But that isn't acceptable to them.

Yep.
They also like to use that little "you're stooopid" lefty mantra. That's put my sister in quite the bind since it's always been clear who is, um, "less intelligent". Last time we had the conversation (she was pissed they had a prayer at the inauguration), she told me to ask her husband what she believed. I told her, game, set, match.

The West Texas Guadalupe Mountains reach their highest point at Guadalupe Peak, the highest point in Texas, with an elevation of 8,751 feet (2,667 m). The range lies southeast of the Sacramento Mountains and east of the Brokeoff Mountains. Part of the Chihuahuan Desert, the mountain range extends north-northwest and northeast from Guadalupe Peak in Texas into New Mexico. The Guadalupe Mountains are surrounded by the South Plains to the east and north, Delaware Mountains to the south, and Sacramento Mountains to the west. The Pecos River and Rio Grande define The Trans-Pecos Natural Region marked by the Davis Mountains, a small section of the volcanic mountains adjoining a long chain of hills in west Texas stretching from Big Bend NP to the Guadalupe Mountains.
Elsewhere, Caprock and Palo Duro Canyon lands are dramatic as well, not to mention the Texas Hill Country along the ancient Balcones Escarpment.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico's governor has signed a broad package of tax cuts aimed at spurring economic growth.
Gov. Luis Fortuno says the $1.2 billion in annual tax cuts translate into an average savings of 50 percent for individuals and 30 percent for businesses.
He signed the package into law Monday. Legislators passed it over the weekend.
Those earning $20,000 or less will pay no taxes until 2016. All other tax brackets will see reductions as well.
Puerto Rico hopes to make up some lost revenue with a new excise tax on offshore companies operating on the island.
Fortuno says it's a "fair and simple" tax system that also contains new measures to fight tax evasion. Critics say the plan is fiscally irresponsible.

272 That's the point. I don't run around saying that Atheists are stupid. I don't care what anyone believes. Just don't foist your beliefs on me and I'll leave you alone too. I think that radical atheists have some other kind of problem with christians (mostly) and that it has nothing to do with a belief or non-belief in God. Stupidity has nothing to do with it. However, an adult should know what they believe and have some sort of reason for it--not refer it to someone else like my sister does. For example, if someone says when you're in trouble, "I'll pray for you" the response should be "thanks" not "oh, no, don't do that". That doesn't even make common sense.
Lefties like the "stupid" taunt and it's a non-issue. Do they mean uninformed? Do they mean not hip? Do they mean misguided? Do they mean "uneducated"? "Stupid" is a "stupid" argument. The atheists like to use the same argument. Belief isn't even a completely intellectual exercise, it's an assent of the will to the intellect. If someone chooses to not have the idea or to not allow the assent of their will then fine, that is their choice. That's also the basis of Christianity--free will and the choice of assent. You can't make people believe just like you can't make them love.

Ben, "we should do this or that" solutions are lame. Those who think they can control events at this point are deluded. This entire scenario is playing out just like Iran where the U.S. always seeks to identify the mysterious "moderates" and ends up with uncontrolled facial fire. The time for Mubarak to reform was twenty years ago through a steady process. It's not possible now and out room for maneuver is so narrow as to be nonexistent.

Energy Saving in theory means time-consuming, energy-consuming, budget busting in practice:
Franklin County (Ohio) spent $105 million on a new court house, but the month they are supposed to move in, they realize there isn't cell phone/2 way radio service/signals in it. Awesome! An energy saving courthouse with no means of 'tech' communication within it!
A cell phone problem has put the grand opening of the county's new $105 million courthouse on hold.
The new courthouse, supposed to open this month, is now on indefinite hold because it cannot accommodate reliable cell phone and two-way radio service, 10 Investigates' Paul Aker reported on Monday.
The person in charge of the project said the problem can be blamed on new energy-saving windows that absorb the radio signals.
"Well, it's a huge problem," said Franklin County Administrator Don Brown.
No one installed repeaters; devices that bridge signal-blocking glass, and allow the radios to function like normal, Aker reported.

Jimmy McMillan is looking for a VP in his bid for President, and he's got two candidates in mind - Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich.
The bombastic former gubernatorial wanna-be, whose Rent Is Too Damn High mantra stole the show during November's state elections last year, says both Republicans would make good No. 2's.
"Newt Gingrich has been there before," he told News Talk Radio 77 WABC's David Goodman, in an interview featured on AOL News. "He is a good liar."
McMillan, 64, went on to call Romney "good looking," adding, "it'll keep the ladies from looking at me."
McMillan's unlikely run for New York state governor ultimately earned him nearly 40,000 votes. His debate performance earned him national headlines, and he was even mocked on "Saturday Night Live."

At one point in my truck driving career I drove for a company that specialized in hauling hazardous waste. One job in Hartford CT, Freon had leaked out of the tank of the air-conditioning system at an office building, They dug up all the dirt around the foundation of the building and we hauled it all to a toxic waste dump in Oklahoma. Sounds stupid to me but that was a good paying job. We did haul some really hazardous shit at times though, like chemicals and infectious medical waste.

Yeah, I see what you're saying.
I wonder if he's clearer in his full interview. He talks about it being unconstitutional but does emphasize the mandate, which is not sufficient. I guess I was reading more into the different solutions for each state thing.
I don't know who's advising Mitt, but he really needs to get on the stick and disavow this public health care crap asap.
My recollection of my research on Huntsman is that he endorses a private company based approach to improving health care access/delivery. In 2008 he signed some things into law that I believe included tax breaks to try to get costs under control. I'm still researching that.
So far the only black mark (for me) on his record is him signing Utah up for a regional carbon credit consortium (which I believe Utah has pulled out of now thanks to Herbert). That's not great, but I'd like to know the details. We do have a serious smog problem here in the Salt Lake and Utah Valleys in the winter.

Agreed. Romneycare is a liability if he isn't willing to say straight up that health care reform is a state issue, and not a federal issue. If he is willing, then he has a strong position to hammer Obamacare and the Dems.

I think you meant the Yom Kippur War. Egypt teaches its kids that that was a big win for them. They have to. They can't admit to any loss and not work to seek "revenge" for it. But, this is how arab culture works. In the case of the Yom Kippur War, they had a point, as Israel returned the Suez to them quickly and Sinai later.
Saddam Hussein built a museum to his "great victories" in the first gulf war - the fact that he was able to hit Israel with almost 40 missiles. If you look through arab history, they do shit like this all the time. It's how they are, which is something that Westerners generally can't wrap their minds around (and figure that these stories aren't true). They have no attachment to reality.
Compounding this problem is the arab shame-based culture. If you are in a competition with an arab and you beat him, fair and square, then you have shamed him and his only recourse is to either have you declare him the winner (by giving him the trophy you won) or he has to take "revenge" on you and kill you. But arabs are the biggest losers in the world, which means that the West can't stop them from being shamed and seeking the "revenge" necessary to lift that shame. We can't stop them from making idiots of themselves and then lashing out at everyone because they are idiots.
This is why I keep saying that all threats emanating from the arab/persian/muslim world start and stop with control of the gulf oil fields. We can't stop the arabs from humiliating themselves and, thus, seeking our destruction, so the only answer is to defang them - which cannot be done so long as they are allowed to retain control of the oil fields they stole in the forced nationalization waves of the mid-20th century.
Interestingly, in a very morbid way, this shame/revenge dynamic is the same basic motivation of the Indonesian Imbecile and his burning hate of America and the West. He sees himself as the Avenging Angel of the Third World, brought to exact revenge on the West for, in their fevered minds, humiliating and shaming the third world with our great freedoms, power, creativity and advancement. Sadly, this was all obvious from way back in the campaign ... but America was thrown into a psychotic break by the credit crisis and decided to vote for Suicide by Indonesian, which is exactly what we see happening.

He is in a strong position, but only if he shows his expertise by dissecting the flaws with Masscare. If he doesn't do that, then he comes off (to me, anyway) as stubbornly emotionally invested in the damned thing even with the warts that Masscare has.
I would like Romney to be an option (although at this moment in time he's still second tier for me simply because he's been on the sidelines for a while, in addition to his disastrous positioning on government-run health care), but he needs a clearer walk-back for me to trust him.
Ironically, poor Huntsman is being tarred with Romney's brush on this issue even though I find no evidence that he supports anything other than a private-based solution to bringing down costs and improving delivery.

No conflict of interest in sourcing there.
Regarding the US "Wild" West's development prior to statehood, the chief responsibility of a town's Sheriff was keeping the peace. Taxation wasn't the same issue then as now since pioneers generally maintained minimalist government, and funded the construction of public buildings (jail, church and school) through contributed donations and services. Before public building projects, the pioneers utilized the privately owned local hotel bar/saloon for public civic gatherings/meetings. It wasn't until towns were established that city folk from back East arrived by train with grand Progressive schemes for taxation to fund improvements in society and "culture" that the wealthiest would benefit from the most.

I'd heard and repeated that, as well.
But historical sources reference Palestine (Greek Παλαιστίνη, Palaistinē; Latin Palaestina; Hebrew ארץ־ישראל Eretz-Yisra'el, (formerly also פלשׂתינה, Palestina); Arabic فلسطين Filasṭīn, Falasṭīn, Filisṭīn) is a conventional name used, among others, to describe a geographic region between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River, and various adjoining lands.
The name "Palestine" is the cognate of an ancient word meaning "Philistines" or "Land of the Philistines".
And Philistines were the uncircumcised blaspheming heathen invading army championed by Goliath, brought low by the boy David during Saul's reign over the united Kingdom of Israel.

I think that he needs to be careful about going too far overboard, lest he look like he's abandoning his position out of convienence. Defending Masscare will play to the squishy moderates and liberal republicans, but if he's willing to force these programs down to the state level, conservatives win. The goal should be to first and foremost change the mentality that every program has to come from the federal government. If it means that we get more states pushing versions of Masscare, then I count it a fair trade off for winning that fight.

Flavius' point is that what we call "palestinians" are generally syrians who came to the area as Jews established some industry and jobs, there. They used to call themselves "syraisn" for the most part, while it was Jews born in the area who were referred to as "Palestinians". It wasn't until 1964 (while the West Bank was still controlled by Jordan - which had taken it in 194
that the arabs started calling themselves "palestinians". But before that, there were no arabs that called themselves "palestinians". They were Syrians and Egyptians and the sort.

If the Iranians are on the side of the protesters...
Egypt revolt is 'step towards Islamic Middle East'
Iran said on Tuesday the uprising in Egypt will help create an Islamic Middle East but accused US officials of interfering in the "freedom seeking" movement which has rocked the Arab nation.
It really hits home when you see it on a map. Beck pointed out country by country the Islamic-ruled countries of the Middle East. They're falling like dominoes. Onward and upward. Next up, Spain, Italy, France, the U.K. The map of Eurabia is becoming reality way sooner than it was forecasted. The muzzies are down with global governance; it's just that they haven't told our commie lefties that it's going to be a caliphate.

I'm not saying he needs to say that he regrets doing it, but I am saying that he should do a detailed analysis of Masscare as implemented, warts and all. He's supposed to be an expert on this issue -- he needs to show it. He should show us what is working and what is not working.
Honestly, the man has no job and a bunch of folks (like me) who are willing to vote for him (I did in the CA primary b/c my other candidates had dropped out by then), but who will not vote for him until he shows that he is objective on this issue and that he is smart on this issue. Right now, he's coming off to me as emotionally invested in Masscare and/or as a guy who always think government is the answer. If I want an emo or nanny POTUS, there are other candidates I'd choose.
The other thing is this. Why should I vote for Mitt when I can vote for Huntsman, a guy whose credentials are superior to Mitt's, who is for private-based solutions to health care costs and delivery, and whose only serious policy flaw that I can find at the moment is signing UT up for a regional carbon credit consortium?
