And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned - the biggest word of all - LOOK.

Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation. Ecology and politics and equality and sane living.

Take any one of those items and extrapolate it into sophisticated adult terms and apply it to your family life or your work or government or your world and it holds true and clear and firm. Think what a better world it would be if we all - the whole world - had cookies and milk at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon and then lay down with our blankies for a nap. Or if all governments had as a basic policy to always put things back where they found them and to clean up their own mess.

And it is still true, no matter how old you are, when you go out in the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together.

I don't know what Rush said, but we don't "idolize" Reagan.  We respect what he stood for and what he did, and he stands as the best example of determined conservative governance in the 20th century.  He represents the idea that one needn't worry about whether the MFM and the left make fun of his positions (after all, he was the "amiable dunce" - when they were feeling charitable - that all the people who used to call him that are now trying to fool people into thinking that their Indonesian Imbecile is just like).  Reagan stands as an example - a shining light in his own right.

Further, I would always point out to leftists that they truly idolize FDR.  A guy whose best decisions lead those same leftists of today to declare that he was a war criminal.  More pathetically, FDR was such an awful example of a President that, pretty much the minute he was gone, a Constitutional amendment was passed to stop anyone else from being as selfish and power-hungry as FDR was. 

When one person causes a Constitutional amendment all by himself, to finally make law (the most supreme law) an American tradition that was established by none other than George Washington (and followed by every single President, until the incredibly power-hungry and selfish FDR came along), it becomes very, very difficult for anyone to look to emulate such governance ... but the leftists have been yearning for another FDR ever since - something that is now Constitutionally prohibited, because such people are too dangerous.  Not only that, but FDR was also the cause of one of the most famous American lines - a switch in time saved nine - which many don't really understand, but, again, describes how FDR tried to pervert our nation and succeeded in good part (as Social Security and many other socialist ideas were obviously un-Constitutional but only passed by the SCOTUS in order to save what was left of the US).  I'm still amazed that this isn't mentioned by many conservatives when lefties try to attack us by querying as to the Constitutionality of Social Security (and Medicare).  Obviously it was un-Constitutional and it took a tyrant (for whom a whole Constitutional amendment has to be passed, post-mortem, to stop another from appearing) to shove it through.  In that, the Indonesian is very much like the left's idol, FDR.

Eventually, cause the libs are so overpowering and they are the teacher and the school you either have to acquiesce or your parents have to send you to a boarding school where you are challenged or move to another town where the schools are more attuned to your level.   Yeah sure, you and your parents will be vilified by the school and the community and told "who do you think you are, you aren't better than us by any means" but, if the parents are strong and thinking of you, your life and your progress, they pull you from the school and save you from a life of WOW.

The Brits are welcome to delude themselves into thinking that they are concerned with "universal rights", but they don't have any control over anything but their sovereign territory, so they only ever really address the rights that they see for themselves.  For Brits to talk about "universal rights" they are claiming some control over me - moral or otherwise - when nothing could be further from the truth.

And, if you want to argue that a belief that the Brits know what constitute "universal rights" and that they are somehow responsible for them, then you know where I split not only with Cameron, but with the whole of British society, or at least those who subscribe to that obnoxious and stupid view.

Yes it did.

As long as TV has existed, there have been recording devices. Many old shows were preserved by Kinescope, which used motion-picture film to record broadcasts.

Not exactly a home-use device, but still....
