For example,  it is my opinion that he is actively working to destroy the energy industry in the US,   probably so he can nationalize it.

He SAYS he is reopening the Gulf for drilling,  but then he refuses to issue permits until the oil companies provide more and more information,  which so far has never been enough.  Meanwhile,  he sens $10 billion to Brazil to help Petrobras,  which Soros is heavily invested in.

He SAYS he is interested in clean coal technology,  but he clamps down on many of the mines in Appalachia.  The Soros buys the largest coal company in West Virginia.

He SAYS he wants a peaceful transition in Egypt,  but he does everything he can to cause confusion and chaos with his public pronouncements,  so the Suez canal is ever more in danger.

He flat-out threatened oil companies with increased taxes,  even though he SAYS he wants American businesses to be competitive and hire more people.

On every policy issue,  you can follow this same path.  Look at what he is doing,  not what he is saying,  because they are 180 degrees apart.

My son's catholic elementary school was fortunate to get a 1st grade teacher who had 25 YEARS teaching experience, non-union, raised 3 sons (1 currently in Iraq and 1 currently in Afghanistan). Fantastic teacher--had my son reading toot sweet and isn't afraid of his being a boy (which is my constant worry in elem school).

The parents threw at FIT because, get this, she used a RED pen to mark things WRONG!! Can you believe it! Now, if you get everything right you get a BLUE star. If you get something wrong, you get a tiny tiny little check mark and a Purple SMILEY FACE. These changes were instituted together with the principal to shut the stupid idiot lefty parents up.

Now, every afternoon, I check his work and ask him what he got WRONG and what would be the RIGHT answer? He's fully aware of right and wrong and knows that a smiley face means wrong. They also objected to homework at all.

This is especially sad - the good teachers leave, and the crappy ones stay and make it even worse.  Public education was a reasonably good thing before the libturds took over.  Now, like everything they touch, it's being destroyed.  How much destruction must their ideology bring upon us before it has run its course?  I get the impression it will be like the black death - 1 out of 3 people have to die before it's over.

Fun part? I used to tech network engineering to adults... which you could get College credit for... but for the exact same coursework, if you took it from a College, you got twice the credits  Why? Because we taught 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and were efficient... so not enough "contact" hours.

Indeed.  Though that enrages me far less than the amounts paid to various "administrators," who seem to multiply like rats.  The education industry as a whole is heavily infiltrated by those who are nothing more than pigs at the public trough.  It would be nice if they didn't poo all over everything - if they did no harm we could probably deal with their cost.  But instead they have to destroy the effectiveness of the system as a whole.  Libtards are always parasites, whatever form they take.  Hopefully, as they kill the host, they too will die off.  They're like a tick with it's head buried in the flesh of the nation - it's time to get a match and burn the little bastards out.

REactionary: I hesitate to say "libtards" ruined it, because that's too general a statement.  I've known plenty of very liberal teachers who were excellent.  The point is, that most of them loved their profession and loved their area of expertise enough to do a good job -- if you are in love with classical music, and you love teaching music, you aren't very well going to shove Bach overboard no matter how much you sympathize with multiculti, same with Shakespeare, same with science (although the science teacher really was the worst...the green movement made an appearance in his class a bit too much, but he was an exciting teacher whose students did learn a lot because they were never bored, and the chemistry teacher balanced him out).  They kept to teaching and not political ideology -- I think because they still had some ethics and pride in being objective as possible.

It's primarily been a steady push from the top down in regards to curriculum, and that's been the part and parcel of the statists.   

Even the liberal teachers (the old school ones) are disgusted with where things have gone and are going -- so I hate to see them get lumped in.

I hate the complaint about "teaching to the test".  You always teach to a test, whether it's one you write yourself, one written by someone else, or one that life writes.  Teaching to a test is only a problem if the test sucks.

Math, science and reading comprehension can all be very easily tested.  Hell, even the basics of US History and government.

Teachers don't even make up a lot of their own tests anymore -- it's even frowned upon; you don't make up your own tests, so the criterion isn't as tailored for the class you are administering it too (and no, some kids, some classes need different testing criterion than others).  Plus, generalized "form letter" tests don't take into account much variety in teaching materials or methods -- the teachers get dull from it, so do the students...and nobody wins...except the state.

So yeah, the "test" sucks on that level -- it was never really well built to address what they now want it to.

This really does work to everyone's benefit.........I buy the large boxes of packaged chips at Costco.  However, those boxes have a variety of flavors of chips, some of which nobody in our household will eat.  My daughter started trading chips she didn't want for apples we could use at home. 

Before the little trade started, I would keep the less-liked chips together in a box in the pantry, and try and foist them on kids who came over to play.  There's always somebody in a crowd who will eat those onion-flavored chips.
